question, could we just not add the embelishment to the troop card, but add it to the others??????
cant wait to see you soon ya all

Also....NO glitter on cards for the troops. It shows up with night vision googles if glitter gets on their uniforms.

Thanks for posting this, Arlene. I'd been meaning to get over there before April 30 but that never happened.

?20?. i thought we were each making all shoeboxes. don't we need 30 +oopies extas? i'm lost

lindylou1220 05-03-2012 11:35 AM

No! Stop!

Arlene has it right. There will be three tables of ten and Everyone will be at two tables -- one in the morning and another in the afternoon. So...

SHOEBOX PROJECTS: Please prepare 20 packets (+4 completed), which should leave one for just in case (unless the creator opts to make her own project in the a.m.). You should have 19 cards/projects at the end of the day. It's always wise to have some extras of "parts" for just in case as well.

I will also post this on page 1 so it's easily found.

snowcountry311 05-03-2012 11:52 AM

oh i got it now! WE ARE MAKING 20 OUT OF 30
i'm slow on the up take~ sorry

lindylou1220 05-03-2012 12:10 PM

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT SHOEBOX PROJECTS THIS TIME:

Because you will be switching tables, but your project staying behind, it will be important that you provide some basic directions for your project unless it is VERY obvious. Thank you!

This is the information I received from XPedX.

Nancy,

We are closing all of our store locations in New York with the exception of East Syracuse; this location is being
sold (it will continue to operate under xpedx until the end of this month).
It will reopen in June under the name Arvey (keeping the same address and
phone number, it will just operate separate from xpedx under a new owner;
they will still carry the same products), you will probably have to get
re-established with them at that point.
Xpedx Paper & Graphics
6504 Basile Rowe
East Syracuse, NY. 13057

If we can be of any further assistance, please let us know.

Thank You,

My niece just had her 3rd child. She's only 21!! but he was really early. 3 lb. 9 oz. He's in Syracuse for awhile. Seems to be fine, just very little. Jace Matthew.

And, to your niece, too, Nancy. So tiny.

Back from my Bermuda cruise! Just got the count for each, I better get a move on!! I still have my sealegs!

:D

arlenevita 05-06-2012 12:00 PM

Do tell about the Bermuda cruise, Amy! Did you go snorkeling? I'm always looking for good snorkeling spots.

Nothing done with my swaps but I did make a birthday card and put together a set of cards from recent shoeboxes to give to my SIL plus I made a congrats card for our nephew and wrapped up Boy Scout scrapbook paper and stickers that I found on sale and have been saving for a year to give to him. He moved up from Cubs to Boy Scouts last month. That's been on my mind for weeks so it's good to have those packages ready to ship out tomorrow. Laundry's almost done, too. DH just finished the first lawn mowing of the year. Last night I put out the hummingbird feeder so I'm waiting for my first sighting.

arlenevita 05-06-2012 04:04 PM

I have my first RW&B sample done! Now to cut, stamp, assemble and emboss.

snowcountry311 05-06-2012 04:12 PM

ahead of me

njbaker 05-06-2012 05:44 PM

I'm working my 125 wedding invites..... UGH. I may NEVER do this again. ONE complete sample ready for pick-up in the morning. It should be exactly what she wants ... except for picking an embossing folder for one piece. I gave her a few options for that.

arlenevita 05-07-2012 04:23 AM

Good luck with that, Nancy! Have your parents arrived?

kmk24 05-07-2012 05:43 AM

He, who laughs last, thinks slowest.

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

It is said that if you line up all the cars in the world end-to-end, someone from California would be stupid enough to try to pass them.

The things that come to those who wait may be the things left by those who got there first.

lindylou1220 05-07-2012 06:11 AM

Karen's on.

arlenevita 05-07-2012 12:46 PM

Karen's back! Are you all better now, Karen?

OMG yes!!! Since last Tuesday. There's some problem everyday. Phone calls to doctors, therapists, insurance, medicare, hair appts. etc. I know I shouldn't complain...
