A reminder of everything you need to bring on the 10th
Here's a summarized list of what you'll need to bring on the 10th.
Your shoebox swap with enough supplies for 30 people to make your card, printed directions, a sample card, and all of your stuff labeled with your name or initials
Your adhesive and scissors to use on every swap. Do not put these items in your swap box. They stay with you to use on every card you make.
$5 for the hall rental
Card donations for the card ministry - remember the more you donate, the more chances you'll have to win a Level 2 or a Level 3 current hostess set (see more info listed in this thread)
Card for Noah if you have time (more info listed in this thread)
Food/drink that you signed up to bring
I think that about covers what you'll need. I'll post directions next week for those who haven't been at the church before. We do have a large blue sign on the outside of the church (old grocery store) which makes it easier to find us.
Also, some of you signed up a friend. Please check and see if your friend is still planning to come.
Have fun finishing up your swap for the 10th. I'm looking forward to another fun day. I have some really neat door prizes for you all that I hope you'll like.
Enjoy your weekend, and I'll see ya next Saturday.
I am sorry, but I am goint to back out. I was really looking forward to stamping with y'all again. I hope someone on the waiting list has enough time to be able to take my place.
I am moving and it is difficult to get to my stamping stuff. I hope to be done moving and able to join next time. Please keep me informed.
My design is done and most of the paper is cut - wheee. Just waiting for an order to come in with the last few sheets I need, then I can finish up and have DD help me bag them all up! See you soon.
Well, I finally designed mine today! I'm using Provencal, Print Pattern, French Script and some background stamps. I can never stick to just one stamp set! :o)
I want to thank Cindy for adding/requesting cards for little Noah! My niece will think it is just AWESOME when she receives them all! I can't wait to see Noah's face too!
See everyone next Saturday!
p.s. If you would like to learn more about Noah and his heart disease - you can view his website at: www.caringbridge.org/visit/noahrice
My niece should be posting pictures on there soon!
Here are directions to Faith Fellowship Church, 4375 Ebenezer Road, Baltimore, MD 21236:
Take 695 to Exit 32 Belair Road/US-1 North. Go approximately 3 miles on Belair Road and turn right onto Ebenezer Road. The church is in the shopping center at the end. Go to the end of the shopping center and turn right into the last entrance (before the pine trees). Go up the slight incline and turn left into the church parking lot. There is a sign at the parking lot entrance and on the building. Enter through the glass doors under the Faith Fellowship sign and then turn right inside the door. I'll have a sign posted as well.
In case anyone would get lost, my cell # is 410-615-3633.
Please dress in layers. The church heat will not get turned up until Saturday morning around 8:00, so it could be chilly in there for a bit. It's a very large building to heat, so it takes a while. And since it is costly to heat, we can't have the heat turned up Friday. So please dress in layers - this way, you can take a layer off if you get warm. It's always easier to have too many clothes instead of not enough.
Thanks gals and I'll see ya on Saturday morning around 9:00.
Hi!
I had a little rainstorm in my kitchen last week...
(overflowed the tea kettle at the sink)
and the only thing that got ruined by the water dripping was my Stampin Up catalog from 2003-2004. Eeeek! It's the mostly purple one.
It was my only copy and I would so like to replace it.
Does anyone have an extra one sitting on a shelf that they wouldn't mind letting me have?
I would ao appreciate it!
Thanks!
Please send me a PM if you can.
See you all on Saturday!
Michelle

Does anyone have a problem if I bring more than 7 door prizes??? I just wanted to check with you guys. I know how most of us just can't stand prizes!! I've been cleaning out my stamp room and have a bunch of stuff. Some big, some small, some SU, some not....Spring cleaning has come early and you all will benefit!! Sorry, I'm just being silly this morning - must be the snow and the fact that I woke up super early to come to work to avoid traffic...
Now we have another open spot. This is what I was afraid of - cancellations at the last minute. Next person on the waiting list is pinkfish. I'll PM her and see if she can make it.
Karen has filled the one spot, so that leaves one more spot. stampinpopey, you are next on the waiting list since Pink-Fish can't come. Let me know ASAP if you can make it. Sending you a PM as well.
Does anyone know stampinpopey??? I've PM'd her and e-mailed her about being next on the waiting list, but haven't heard anything. Doesn't seem to be a regular on SCS, so I wasn't sure if someone knew her personally and could let her know. Thanks gang!
stampinpopey can't make it, so scrapadoodle is next on the waiting list. If someone knows Debbie, can you please contact her and let her know there is a spot available? I did send her a PM. Thanks!
I don't know how long your waiting list is, but I'd like to get in on this if I can. I haven't checked with DH yet, but I really don't think he'll have any issues at all.
OMG !!! YIPEE!!!! Count me in!!! I just ran downstairs to make sure I have enough card stock for 30 of the same card and I do. Now, just to come up with a card !?! Yikes! This is so exciting and nerve-racking at the same time. Its my first 'real' shoebox swap so I hope I can come up with a card good enough for you gals!! Can I pick floral? I'm sure I have floral but not so sure I can come up with a manly card. Oh, and I need to bring some food too, right? I don't know what it will be, but I'll bring something. Is there anything you need?
Thanks!!
Oh, and if you have any more openings, let me know, I might be able to drag a friend or two.
Glad you can make it Rose-Ellen. There are no more spots available. We are full again. Check out the food list on the first post in this thread to see what is being brought. A floral card is fine to make. See you on Saturday.
I'll be at a front table with everyone's ziploc bag with your name tag and some other papers in there - the list of swap #'s to check off, dates of upcoming swaps, a list of stores, a form asking for your name, address, and phone # just in case a swap would have to be cancelled at the last minute, your door prize ticket, and your # for your shoebox. This is different than in the past, but I thought it was easier to do it this way and move you all along quicker so you can stamp.
The folded # for your box just needs to sit on the side of your box, so everyone can see the # when they walk up to the table.
I'll collect your $5, any cards for the card ministry and hand you your tickets, and any cards for Noah when you come in. I'm hoping to have the room set up like last time with the long tables under the "Pharmacy" sign to put our boxes on. That seemed to work last time. I will have diaper wipes on each table to use to clean your stamps. And there will be scrap paper on each table, so we keep the tables clean.
I think that's all the news I have to tell ya for in the morning. I'm looking forward to meeting the new ladies and seeing the ones who have attended other swaps. See you around 9:00 tomorrow morning.
August 4, 2007 (information to be posted on SCS in June) - no theme.
November 3, 2007 (information to be posted on SCS in September) - Christmas/winter theme.
Had a great time today, as usual! Thanks so much for everything, Cindy!
Hi Stampers - when I was unpacking my project supplies from today's fun swap, I found a pre-stamped element from my card in the bottom of the basket. Since I know I did thirty of each element for the bags I figure someone is missing a piece of their card. If you contact me at [email protected] with your snail mail addy, I'd be glad to send it out to you. My card used the paisley stamp and white gel pen and the piece i found was the Riveting circle for the center of the card.
Cindy - great day! Your church hall is such a great environment - love the space and the natural light from the windows. The "company" is always fun even if several (all) of us at my table were a bit foggy in our thinking - made for some good laughs! Everyone was so generous in their food contributions - wish I could have tried some of the yummy dishes! I look forward to the next gathering. Thanks again for all the grunt work it takes to put this all together!!
Just wanted to say thanks to Cindy and all those others that helped to make such a great event. I'm sitting here just totally exhausted and brain dead from all the work we did making all the great cards. I put it on the calander for the next two so hope it works out to be able to make it to them. See you all then, Pam
I just want to add my thanks again to Cindy for another great stamping day! So many wonderful cards and lots of yummy food! Got the dates on my calendar for the next ones!
I had a great time yesterday and thought all the cards were great! I also want to thank Cindy for all the hard work she puts into organizing these events! I can't wait until August to get together with all of you gals again!
I didn't get a chance to thank those of you who brought cards for Noah! He is going to be SO excited to see them all - and I can't wait to be there so I can see them when he opens them!
If you guys would like to learn more about Noah - please feel free to visit his website:
Cindy - Just a repeat of others, but I still mean it! Thanks so much for your work. I will miss the August one, but look forward to the Nov. swap. My goodness, that will be a long wait!!!
