LOL - dd just ran across a rebroadcast of the SuperBowl...We know who won - but since we were without power, we didn't get to watch it. Am digging out the Super Bowl munchies now
I double checked with someone at The Hubs's office. NO, Nobody dug out the vehicles from the weekend storm, and No, nobody was planning to dig them out That just makes my heart smile. Good Luck with that Buddy! Bwahahahaha!

Hi girls! Office is closed again today, but will have to go in on Saturday - since the jobsites are closed, we are hoping the guys can work on Saturday to get caught up a little bit after missing two days. I'll have enough in the office to keep me busy. Just need some time to get Danny a few V-day gifts. All this snow is cramping my shopping! I was ready to go into work this morning until I talked to my boss. He wasn't even sure if the lot had been plowed.
I'm like Kimme - have to widen the driveway apron and do the front walk. And I've decided I'm throwing the snow into the street, and if they wanna ticket me, go for it. I cannot throw it up onto the piles anymore - they are just too high. DH went to work and made it safely. I doubt he'll be busy since I'm sure most of the jobsites are closed down. Gives me some peace and quiet!!
Amish trip is up in the air - PA does not do their roads like MD at all and with so much snow back to back and us driving on all backroads, we'll have to play it by ear. And with more white crap coming, who knows. Maybe by next weekend, we'll be free and clear of this crap. I sure hope so. I've planned to go up there the past 2 weekends and the weather hasn't cooperated and now I have to work this weekend.
At least having today off, I was able to get most of our tax stuff done. One thing off the checklist!
No problem Cindy, totally understandable if we can't make it, I sure wouldn't want us to get up there and get stuck. Happy to just play it by ear!
Adverse Weather Conditions - can you imagine??? That's what it says on the UPS tracking site regarding the delivery of my packages scheduled for today. Wonder when they will attempt delivery now...
Marley Stationw a sopen at 10 but Arundel Mills didn;t open til 2. but fo rthe most part the orads are fine, and the parking lots are eh.. the base hardly plowed any of the lot out.
BUT: for those of us at Tracy's Chinese new year party: the exchange has MORE of the coasters in! black and blue, I grabbed another 8 coasters but there was still plenty left. for thiose that werent, they are really nice GLASS coasters, 2 to a pack for like $1 each. black or a bright, almost robin's eggy blue. they are photo inserts but we stamped of course.
ALSO: my riley's are here. Stacy, we might be out on base again tomorrow, if we are I will most likely call to see if we can stop by.
also have my MFT order huzzah, so i really have no excuse not to go downstairs and play.
oh yeah, and I have a new cell phoen number. will be sharing that with the group later... gotta transfer all th eold numbers over first.
Dropped th eold T mobile Plan since he's leaving and added a single Verizon plan for about $20 a month cheaper.

Hopefully someone will have a snow shovel they can use. I'm pretty sure you aren't gonna drive yours down to him, right?? LOL
I went out to the bank earlier and the main roads are great - a lot better than they were after the weekend's storm. I was amazed. The side roads still need some plowing, but the main lines are running smooth.

They have really done a good job around here. They even came by today and dug our mail box out. Now maybe we will start getting mail again soon.

Our 'street' is now relatively clear thanks to DH and two neighbors! BUT, the street which connects ours to Route 1 has yet to be cleared, so I guess we are here a little while longer. My boss is getting anxious for me to get back to the office (as am I) and get busy! Hoping by morning...
Dh and DS are out right now getting a snowblower, I read on another site that Pasadena Home Depot just got snowblowers in. I called and they said yes they had some but if he wanted one he'd better get there asap! They hopped in the truck & off they went! He's making sure he's prepared for Monday!

You can get a better idea about BWI on their website...Yes, there are several feet of snow!!! Feel free to take some back with you, when you return to FL!! Now, there is another chance for snow coming Monday - hopefully, it will be mild and not affect your return flight...

Yeah, there really are several feet of snow here! But, they do seem to be doing a pretty good job of cleaning up, so I would think you should be able to get in tomorrow, that is unless you get bumped by folks who had tickets for flights that were canceled. Yes, you need sweaters or heavy coats! Good luck!

Got my comcast back now. its taken me awhile to catch up w/everyone. You've been busy little chatting ground hogs. Hope everyone stays well for those who are sick. Glad you guys are getting a break from shovelling. My neighbor cleared my car off again. I found out my son and his family and neighbors dug out their street on Monday and went on their annual week stay at Deep Creek. About 5 families go. Thats why I hadnt heard from him.
I cant believe we are getting more snow. I USED to be a winter person. Its funny - even tho I probably wouldnt have gone anywhere even if it didnt snow, now I feel housebound and confined. Going to try the grocery store tomorrow. We'll see whats there. The one I go to has a lot of apts around it and they probably picked it clean.

Yes, they got one of the last ones! DH says we probably won't get another flake of snow the rest of the winter! We can always hope!

When DH bought our snowblower due to a hard winter, we had no snow (at least not enough to use the snowblower!) for 2-3 years afterwards. I figured it was good insurance...but a bear to store!

Rose, I used to be a winter person too, I loved winter! But not anymore, bring on the heat and humidity, at least I don't have to shovel it! And as much as I love being home with my critters I am definitely getting cabin fever! Not sure whether I will attempt to make it into work tomorrow though, will see what the a.m. brings. We are open but have liberal leave again.

Jane, do you 'get' to go to work tomorrow or is the University still closed?
I think they will open as I have not heard otherwise. Larry doesn't want me to go in because he says the streets are not good enough for my car. I'll see how I am doing in the morning. Love it when you say nighty nite. My neighbor used to end her evening call with me that way! Hugs....and hope you get some good mail. We haven't had mail yet either.

That funny yellow blob is out there again, not sure how long.....we want a slow thaw, according to the news. Let's hope that blob gives it to us each day. My roof will say thank you! I will say thank you. U of Md. closed again today! Can you say hoooooraaaaay~ I can. Our drive looks great but the end of the drive has another 12" wall from the plows. They were plowing at 1 this monring and they were noisy so I didn't get a lot of sleep. I am not complaining though. I like them. They are good folks and they are doing a herculean job, 24 hours straight! They certainly deserve our respect. This is one heck of a snow storm. All my friends in Mass are saying we have their snow. I think we have their snow and Canada's also. Hope you are doing well today and getting out and about. Sending snowy hugs...
