We just came in from tackling round one of shoveling. DH shoveled the 30" off the front walk and I did the new 5" in the driveway and small sidewalk next to the house. It's covering back up as fast as we shovel. That's all for tonight. The rest can wait until tomorrow. Nighty night girls!!!

I have toyed with that idea forever. Has it been a bear of a job? Are you using your microwave to get them off?

I just shoveled again. I am hoping that there will only be a reasonable amount out there when I get up in the morning. You know, reasonable= 6" or less. Hahaha.

Yeah it's been a PITA! I'll post pics tomorrow of how they look now and the space that I've saved. You should see how many blocks that I'm getting rid of and SU boxes. It's a lot of work but if you need more space it's worth it. No I didn't use the micro I didn't need to the rubber will pull off the foam without it.

Morning...Yes, I left the adjective off, on purpose Silly me, when I got up at 3am (to do my: who am I, where am I, can I walk a straight line, drill) I looked out the window and the snow had STOPPED. I thought to myself - wow, maybe this won't be so bad afterall. It was just the Mother taking a break! (Tracy is totally out of commission. They are still without Comcast.)

I want those Tim Holtz embossing folders but they're on pre-order and can't be ordered with 'regular' in-stock items...I didn't see anything else I wanted right now...(well, I always want new High Hopes stamps but will hold off for a little while!)

mornin...I checked out those Tim Holtz folders you mentioned Mary. They are really neat! Does anyone know if there is a comprehensive list of Cuttlebug folders. I have already bought doubles. As usual, buying but not using.
Notice Im not mentioning the s***. And it is NOT THE HOG'S FAULT! So put away the guns and ammunition.

not too bad here as yet. maybe 4 inches? not a lot of wind or drifting either. dunno what John's plans are.. shovel a few times or wait til its done.

I have been very neglectful of my craft room, haven't been anywhere near it since john came home.

maybe today i will get down there.

I have decided to go to Ohio end of March to see my grandparents celebrate their 70th anniversary. thought I'd alter something like maybe one of the books I have or some such my Dad is driving down so we can drive over together. .

Cool!

I am aiming to place the scentsy by Monday - have to get my spiced grapefruit brick and I think I may get a snowberry it has worked really good with the babies and their colds.

Good morning Maryland!

Talked to DH and its pouring snow there and windy. Military flights are pushed back 48 hours as some of our folks are going forward this week. Still no word on my flight tomorrow. Hopefully there won't be any major delays and everything will be clear.

Poor DH has to use my new washer and dryer by himself for the first time, this should be fun. I told him to call me and I would 'walk him' through the process. Its easy and I"m sure he'll do fine.

Wow Amanda, that is a big endeavor to unmount everything. How are you going to store them? In notebooks with the ez mount sheets or CD cases or another method. Now you have room for even more stamps right?!

Have a great day, I'll catch up with you guys later. Hugs,

Wow, I can't imagine taking on that task, I'm impressed! I'll buy some of those empty SU boxes if you're planning on selling them, I can use them for some of my miscellaneous stamps.

DH did the first pass with the snowblower. Thanks to our neighbor who workedon it nearly all day yesterday, it works! Well, until DH ran over a neighbor's Sunday newspaper which was buried in the snow and clogged up the snowblower. It has been extricated and he's off again...

Four INCHES? Are you kidding me? We are at 14.5" now. I just shoveled again. Problem is that the mounds on either side of the drive are so high I can barely chuck the snow up there. My neighbor had the nerve to complain as he was doing his 5 feet of driveway with his wife and daughter. To help him out I did the extra bit of side walk from my yard to his drive.

I know none of us are surprised, but the National Weather Service has said Baltimore has officially surpassed their snowiest winter ever as of this morning (about 5 inches ago!)

The wind is really picking up here so I'm sure we will get lots of drifting again. The dogs are having a ball in this, Dusty is definitely my snow dog, he tries to get in the deepest spots in the yard and then comes in with gobs of ice balls hanging from his belly!

You would think I'd be getting a lot of stamping done being home all these days but I've barely been in there. I think I will take today and work on my swap card for the 27th. I have no excuse for not getting it done ahead of time now!

That's a great idea DM to go with your Dad to see your grandparents, it will help break up the time a bit for you and I'm sure your grandparents will be thrilled to see you!

That's probably where my Sunday paper is!! Glad it didn't mess up the snowblower altogether and you are able to keep going.

Blah Blah Blah ... All BWI flights in and out today have been cancelled. I'm wanting to go home. I love my DH and love being held, not the same when you get a hug from your kid.

I didn't sleep well last night so now I think I'm going to lay down for a while. Glad DS let me borrow his computer, it has helped keep me busy. I plan to visit an outlet mall later this afternoon and hook back up with craig around 1ish.

Stay warm, DH said we didn't have mail yet, I have two more scoreboard dies coming, goodness knows when they will show up.

Take care, Hugs!

Cold & windy here. Lots of snow blowing around. I just heard on TV that Baltimore City is in stage 3 of the snow emergency plan which means no driving on the road unless it is an emergency. They are telling everyone to stay home. Who would be crazy enough to go out in this?

Amanda - I'm impressed. That's a big job.

Kathi - I haven't stamped much either even though I have all this extra time on my hands. I did clean up my room though so I'm going to stamp today!

Loretta - hope you make it home soon.

Keep safe & warm everyone.

Glad to see most everyone still has power, I hope it stays that way for the duration of the storm.

The Gov. said the main roads will only be made passable, there is not enough resources to take them down to bare pavement and of course he is telling everyone to stay off the roads. Maybe he will close the state down again tomorrow!

Oh that sounds so good!!! Can you share the recipe? I've never made potato soup! I made a big pot of vegetable beef soup over the weekend that we are still working on, it's so nice to just be able to have something to heat up when we want a bowl!

The bathrooms are scrubbed, the dishwasher is running, a shower has been had and fresh jammies and socks have been donned. I am sooooo sick of the color white...........

Default Awww

You don't deliver? I thought it was delivery, not DiGiorno! Hope you are doing okay in this mess. One good thing, the leak will freeze. Hope it doesn't do too much more damage. It is getting a bit tiresome and I also am bored with the color white...................

Well, this is what I did...

I cooked 4-5 pieces of bacon and crumbled them. I poured off most of the bacon fat and added 1T flour to the little bit that was left and added 3 cups of milk and cooked, stirring the whole time until a bit thickened. I then added 3 small-medium sized potatoes that I 'baked' in the microwave, slipped the skins off and sort of mashed, leaving semi large chunks. I then added 3 green onions which I sliced, about 1/2 c grated cheese (I would have liked more, but that's all I had) (also I only had Monterey Jack and I think sharp cheddar would be better), 1/2 cup or so of sour cream, 1/2 t salt, 1/8+ t cayenne and the crumbled bacon. I think a bit more milk would be good, but I am preserving our supply... You can also top each bowl with bacon, green onions and cheese, but I put it all in...

Give or take as your tastes and supplies allow! As you can see it's not a 'real' recipe, but a guideline. Have fun and enjoy!
