Well I shouldn't give up my secrets but I'll share! LOL Sinus infection and tooth pain it's the way to go.
you know I don't need to lose weight that badly come to think of it heheheh.
so are we set for Saturday ? May be productive and make a favor myself for once. Got things to use up before taking off.
Speaking of which.. soonest it could happen now is Mid to late March.. for the simple reason that it takes 30 days to get the blood results back from the vet on the rabies shot. No matter which vet the turnaround time is 30 days.. so.. get the test done in 2 weeks and spend $400, or wait a whole week longer(when John will be home) and get it done at the Ft Meade vet for Under $125?! Hmm decisions decisions...
Stacy.. how many bulbs of each size did I order again? had another big one blow last night....may want to suggest that they look for better quality control, they seem to not last very long at all.
Tracy: do I need anything else for Friday besides the salad? I can bring wine... not Plum, but a sweet blackberry one
Mary: so sorry to hear you are sick again. hope you feel more better soon!
Really? I think I lost about 2 lbs. Although, it was the week before my 21st birthday and I'm sure I drank back my calories.
Reganne and I are having a jammie day today. Mack and Kerri are dressed, but Reg has ahd jammie days 3 of the last 4 days and asked me to join her today....how can I refuse? She's feeling blah and asked if I would be blah with her too. So we are cuddled up watching Disney channel. This is MY kind of day.
Great- I'm sick again...so I'm home from school. I'm never this sick not sure why this school year is any different! Sore throat, swollen glands, total rundown feeling. Slept for almost 12 hours last night and feel like I could sleep some more!
Amanda- great job on the 6-lb. loss!! Keep it up!!! I weigh tomorrow (if I'm okay to go to school!)
Gloria, Jane, great cards!!! I didn't even get one made- not that I thought I could do it!
Cherie- oh, how horrible for the family.
Okay, I'm off now to lay down for a while...
Have a great day, all!
Mary I hope you are feeling better soon. Sorry to hear that you are sick.

5 of each....Mine stays on 24/7 and I am averaging several months per warmer....do you have frequent power outages? Is it just one warmer or all?
I would opt for the cheaper vet option! why do you have a week wait - appt or do you need a ride?

Update on the family effected by the earthquake. The fourth grader and one of the six graders are deceased and the second six grade was at school today. The elemantary school apparently is having a collection for this family since Brian came home wanting to take his $5 out of his bank to donate...doesn't that make you tear up?

the only one that is on 24/7 is the one in my Bedroom.. that has been replaced twice already and the the one downstairs has now been replaced twice.. and that's only on when I am downstairs.. so for the past three weeks it hasn't been on at all, yet it blew this morning. no power outages at all save once in the past say 6 months.
soonest we can do the Vet thing is 1 February since you must wait at least 2 weeks after the rabies shot to do the blood work. , but John is done with class on the 5th so I just went ahead and made an appointment for the following Monday.
Geez, step out for a few hours and the thread goes bizzark!
DM; Hope everything continues to go well with the move, we are gonna miss you!
Tracy; Thanks for the updated info on the family, it does make you tear up when you have a child with a tender heart!
Mary; Feel better, have you tried Zicam or that Airborn stuff to help with the immune system? Rest my friend!
Stacy; Love your new avatar!
Amanda; That is a sucky way to loose weight, hopefully the fat cells have now run away permanetly! I plan to join weight watchers on line. Got brave enough to finally replace our bathroom scale -- I'm scared, very scared!
Cherie; I hope you are having a good week!
Paula; Still enjoying my gift card, thanks!
Kathi; I hope work is going well!
I just got back from some errands and a doctor's appointment. The rumor is true, Spellbinders nestabilities are at the Joann's in Columbia. They are 24.99 with no shipping and you can use a coupon. They where not busy when I went earlier today and was able to use 3 coupons (whohoo!).
The yardsale sounds like a hoot! I wouldn't mind going. I'll have to see if I can get some cash and check it out. Does any one want to carpool? I only have a mom mobile that I could seat three more people in comfortablly, but I'm willing to ride and help with gas money too!
Take care everyone! Off to vacuum (joy oh joy -- not)

ahhh - I am Off the latter part of this week so I figured I could run you if you needed a ride =0) I dont know how you are keeping track of all the move stuff, we have been lucky and only had to deal with state to state moves! Although going overseas I think you are pretty lucky! I would love to travel more
re: scentsy I will see if I can find a guideline to average life expectancy of the bulbs...I am not sure why mine are lasting so long...I wish they would rub off on my laundry light...that thing is blowing every 2 weeks nearly
The trip is in February, on a Saturday. I am hoping to be counted "in" as I missed the last one and Sara told me how GREAT it was. Mention good food and ......well, you know, I gotta try! Gloria, I hope you can go.
Tell Sara if she wants to come that we'll eat again at the corn fritter place. Every time DH and I eat there now, I think of her and smile. She sure was in food overload heaven that day. LOL
Well, I was just on my way to my daughters house from the Mountain Rd Michaels. I turned off Mtn. Rd onto Edwin Raynor and there about half way down to my daughters drive into her housing developement was a body laying in the ditch. At first I thought it was a dummy but decided to call 911 anyway. Yes, it was a real person. The police came and had the person setting up before the ambulance got there. I wasn't sure if it was a long haired man (because of the clothes) or a woman in a suit. Still don't. It sure shook me up. Not a pretty site. I am still trying to get over it. I think I need a drink. I thought for sure they were dead. Their mouth was open and all crunched up kind of on their side. They must have passed out or something. So after that, how's everyones day. Mines got to get better.
That would have freaked me out too. Sure hope the person was okay.
Just got off the phone with my sister-in-law, she called to tell us that Dean's Dad is treating all of us to a 7-day cruise to FL and the Bahamas in August! We leave out of Baltimore on Aug. 8th. DH doesn't want to go, can you believe that? Says he'll be bored (no hot rods on the ship!) I told him I'm going with him or without him, can't pass up an offer like that! LOL
Now I've really got an incentive to drop some pounds!!!
I received a call this morning, right before DD went to school. A local military family was in Haiti, during the earthquake. Several of the family members have perished, including children. Right now, their 6th grade daughter is still among the missing...Please, keep this family, and the countless others, in your prayers. Hopefully, they will find her in time.
Oh no, how sad! Will definitely say prayers for this family.
Before I forget, the scrapping/stamping yard sale that is held every year near Annapolis will be on Sunday, April 25. That's the one where I took some of my Amish friend's stuff to sell last year.
Also, there is a stamp convention in Allentown, PA on April 10 & 11.
Amish stamp store trip is planned for February 20.
Next MD City Fire Dept SBS in Laurel will be on February 27, and the next one in Baltimore after the one coming up on 01/30 will be on March 27.
My calendar for spring is full of fun stamping things. And whenever you want to try and plan another Amish trip after the one on 02/20, just holler.
There is an amish lady that has a store in Paradise PA. Not sure if it is on your schedule to visit but I just got a letter today from her. She is starting classes. I will attach the flyer from her store if you are interested. Hope you can read it.

For those of you possibly going or definitely going on the Amish trip, just a reminder that most of the Amish stores only take cash or checks - no credit cards. A few of them take credit cards, but the majority is cash or checks, so plan accordingly. The store that carries the Nestabilities does take credit cards.

I hope everyone that is not feeling well gets to feeling better soon! It seems like there's a lot of illness going around right now. I thought that big snow we had would have cleaned out a lot of the germs!
OK, where is everyone? Ive been up since 4 a.m. Finished my book, had a cup of hot chocolate, gulped down lots of wheezing meds and inhalers, so now im on here and listening to my Susan Boyle CD. So, when everyone else is up later today I will probably, hopefully, be catching up on sleep. I have a 1:30 dr appt so hope I dont sleep thru that. Off to find another book.
On nights/mornings like this I am glad I am retired and can sleep.

Oh my, what an early riser you are! I would definitely be needing a nap after all that! Retirement really does have some benefits! Do you want us to call you to make sure you're up for your dr. appt.? :p
Good Morning Ladies! Mary, I hope you are feeling better today! It's off to work for me this morning but then a nice lunch this afternoon with another friend who I haven't seen in a while. I'm trying to catch up on people I've neglected the past few months. A former co-worker/friend committed suicide two weeks ago and I think it has made me stop and think about people that I care about and make sure I do some catching up with them. You never know when you might not see them ever again.
