I'm really looking forward to the Zentangle classes!! I've tried on my own but wasn't very good at it! Gloria, on the other hand, will be an expert at it before she even starts, I'm sure!

Wow, Mary, those zentangles look kind of interesting and complicated. I can't even envision what you have to do to create them. Please show us your finished product when you are done.
I saw that....looks really interesting. I thought about taking it. What are the dates again?
Angie- the Zentangles classes are on Saturday, Nov. 12th. There are 2 classes- the first is the introduction class at I think 10am. The second is on of 8 that they offer teaching some different designs and that one is at 3pm, I believe...
Wow, Mary, those zentangles look kind of interesting and complicated. I can't even envision what you have to do to create them. Please show us your finished product when you are done.

Good morning stampers! I sstamped some more Christmas Cards yesterday and loved them. Such fun when you just roll along. Visited with a stamping friend and she made 4 cards too. So looking forward to the class (and the lunch even more....)with such fun people. Amanda, hope you are feeling a little better today? Seen the doc/got an appointment yet? DO IT! Dinner with Sara this evening. Having my Brunswick stew again. I love that soup. Gloria, hope you join us for the class. I played with Zentangle for a bit but just didn't like my results. I think I do better with a stamped image. Once you take the class, you can teach the rest of us! Have a great Hump Day all. Oh, it's Wednesday for those that don't have to track the days. We can do this......get along now!

Yep Nate and I just got home from the doc. First time we've all been on antibiotics at the same time. Kinda funny tho we all have a different cruds (or at least they said we do). I have a good ol' fashion sinus infection. Should be better in a couple days.

I'm still here! I posted a little yesterday, maybe you missed them?
Kathi are you out there?! Have you had time to play with your new goodies?
Unfortunately I haven't had time to play with my new stuff yet :( I thought I would be able to get some stamping done over the weekend but I've now taken on a new role with GRREAT which is keeping me busy. I'm now part of the team that deals with all the dogs coming into the rescue and I've been assigned several cases that I will be following through with until they are adopted. I will work with some of the foster homes to make sure everything that needs to be taken care of is done and maintain contact with them while the dog is in foster care. Boy, what an eye opener! You wouldn't believe some of the reasons people give for giving up their dogs! That's the sad part, but the happy part is how well they seem to do when they're in a foster home that loves them. Since last Thursday we've had 7 dogs come in!
I am planning on stamping tonight though! I need to finish up my Halloween cards so they can go out in the mail tomorrow!

Wow 7 dogs in less than a week. Poor babies! I can only imagine the reasons. Like they aren't tiny cute puppies anymore. Hope you enjoy your new job. Have fun stamping! Post what you make!

Oh, I don't think so. I have my doubts about it even after we take the class.
What a day---last day for my husband to work, he had several tests done on Monday (sonogram, lung xrays, blood tests) While he was at work this morning his dr called and wanted him to come in today. He wasn't here so they called him at work. He is there now. I haven't heard a word about whats happening. I am a little concerned. I was suppose to pick up Dylan at school but James has fallen asleep and Jim's not here to watch him. So I called the school to have him go to after school care. The contractor was suppose to be here to put in the window that the darlings shot with their pellet gun and he didn't show. Now we are in Tornado warnings. I am going to crawl into bed and cover my head until tomorrow.

Goodness Gloria, you have had quite a day! I hope whatever is going on with your DH is not serious. What is up with these contractors not showing up? We've had people not show up too and really makes me mad after I've taken a day off work to stay home and wait for them. Even if he got tied up on another job he could at least call and let you know. I did hear a Tornado warning for Howard & Montgomery counties but must have missed A.A. County. It seems like Mother Nature isn't planning on settling down anytime soon!

Jim has cirrhosis of the liver. Had 10 vials of blood taken today. Has to have other tests. His spleen is enlarged and something about his portal vein. It is one of the reasons for so much blood taken today. His stomach which is huge these days is just fluid from the spleen. He has blood in his urine. Think we need some prayers.

Welcome to my world! Actually, my former world. I'm giving up rescue at the end of the year and have backed off drastically the past few months. I feel bad for my rescue group (because I already see it declining), but I have to do this for myself.

Mom can relate to the dr's calling. Dad had a stress test on Friday, and he did okay with it. No pain or anything. First thing Monday a heart doctor calls for him, he's at work, and the dr won't tell Mom anything. So Dad finally calls his office and they want to see him tomorrow morning. Needless to say, they are besides themselves as I am. Mom keeps hoping it's just a preventative appt - I'm thinking not if the doctor actually calls and wants to see you.

Hi all,
My computer has been not working, actually just the internet, but I am back now after over an hour on the phone w/Verizon, 45 min of it on hold. Not their problem but the guy was very helpful on help me fix it. Gave me some good advice too.
Gloria, so sorry to hear Jim's diagnosis. Sending happy and healing thoughts to you both. If you need, give me a call and maybe we can "do" lunch or stamp or something if you want to get out.
Toby is improving. He can get himself up to a sitting position now. Still wobbly and I help him w/the step to go outside.
Kathi, you are a gem to help with the dogs. 7 dogs in one week, that is so sad but you must feel good to help.
