Yep, we've had the thunder, lightning, downpours, and sunshine here too. Crazy weather! Hope it stops by the time we have to put up the tent tonight. It's supposed to, so I'm crossing my fingers. Can't take the trailer since our SUV is acting up. Hoping to get that looked at next week. When it rains, it pours, and I'm not just talking outside.
Thanks Cindy! The metal image of you and Jane bouncing made me LOL.
How is the Shop Hop going?
Glad I made you laugh. I think it would be fun as long as there are no video cameras anywhere close by. Come on, we're just big kids at heart!! LOL
The shop hop seems to be going well. It ends tomorrow or Sunday - depending on the stores. I'm sure they will be busy today and tomorrow. Barbara said the past 2 days had been slow for her. She's had about half of the 500 come thru so far. Not everyone does all of the stores, so who knows how many she'll see. I'll do her final tallying up tomorrow after she closes. Everyone has been happy shoppers and the farthest travelers that they have had have been from Ontario and Texas, and they came just for the shop hop. Wow!
CRAZY weather!! Torrential downpours, black as night...sun shining brightly, then black and pouring again...it was even shining while pouring at one point! At least the weekend is looking nice- cooler than last weekend but sunny! We'll be heading out on the bikes again on Sunday (but no fear- I'll be home before kickoff at 4pm!)
Location: On my sunporch- stamping and creating. Enjoying the view :)

Happy Friday!! Hope everyone is having a great day, we had nasty storms too last night...I am tired of rain.
Today is our 11th anniversary and tonight we are going out to dinner, I am looking forward to that.
I think we'll have a somewhat quiet weekend, I need to pick up more apples for sauce and I want to try canning pie filling. So we'll see where this leads.
Cindy--I might see you tomorrow, I really need to get envelopes and thought about driving down to Barbaras. I also want to get some pumpkins and mums for the front porch.
Mary - you'rereally serious about this Taylor thing! LOL. Its always good to check first.
Hope the weather is nice for your ride. It should be a lovely week end I hope, re trees.
Jen - congratulations and have a nice dinner.
Cindy, glad your meeting went well on Wednesday. Good vibrations and big smiles coming your way. We need to lift one another up. It has been a rough year!
Thanks! We sure do need to lift one another up - that is what friends are for. And I agree with the rough year!! Hopefully 2012 being a positive number will be a positive year.

I sure hope so! It's gotta get better...it's gotta!

Oh, I'm Team Edward...I checked for Amanda...although those abs of his ARE right nice! ;)
Please say a prayer of good luck for my son, Brian- tomorrow he's running in the Baltimore Half-Marathon!! He just started running in January and ran his first 5K in March...the half is 13.1 miles!! I've signed up for text alerts that will track his progress...he said he just wants to finish...and not throw up on himself! ;)
Thinking about selling off my copics. Gasp! Shock! I know.....I just don't like them as much as watercoloring. Hate that they're just sitting there collecting dust.
Oh my goodness!!! You really do a nice job with them!! I really love mine and just bought a bunch before the price went up in July. I still want Keith to make me one of those cubbyhole thingys to store mine in. Right now they are sitting around in various buckets.
Jane wants to see some cards, so here are few of the cards I made for the "Hope You Can Cling To" Challenges on SCS.
Angie, these are adorable! That driver of the pickup truck looks awful mean though! LOL Love your coloring on the pink Lizard and the layout, and totally love the cupcake one! That DP is so cute!
Happy Friday!!!! I am so glad this week is almost over. The dogs (all 3 of them) are scheduled for beautification tomorrow afternoon. I can't wait to see their eyes again. And you'd never know that they are all almost all white. They enjoy rolling around in the mulch and mud. And one of them has been digging a hole in my garden. I can't tell which one it is because when they come back inside all of them have black paws up to their knees! So off we go to the groomer. They hate it so much. We put on quite a show - 2 people, 3 dogs all going in different directions in Pet Smart. Then the 3 hours of absolute quiet at home. Aaaaahhhhhhh. Maybe I'll make a few cards.
Since I allowed myself to take over part of the living room with my stamping paraphenalia I have made quite a few cards. One day I may even figure out how to post them.
Good wishes to everyone who is having problems, sorrows and pains. One of my favorite lines from one of my favorite movies (Finding Nemo) is Dory the fish saying "Just keep swimming, . . ." See the clip at:
Sue, I'd love to see pics of your poochies! What breed are they?
Posting cards/pictures is really easy - just upload them into your computer, then come here and when you are ready to insert them into a post, just click on the little paperclip above (it's next to the white smiley face). That will open another box and you can click on browse to find your card. Once you've found the card (or picture) you want to post just click on the "upload" button and give it a few seconds to upload, then close out that window. You can hit preview post to make sure it's there and then post your reply. If you have any trouble just yell, one of us will help you!
We also had thunder, lightning, downpour, sun, rain, downpour - even lost electricity for a second and the house phone went out right in the middle of a conference call with work! Now it looks like the sun is trying to peek through the clouds. Crazy.
Amanda, do you know anything about some sort of craft fair thingie at Meade High School tomorrow?
We had all that as well earlier and our power went out at work for over 2 hours then came back on and went on and off for the next hour! It was driving us crazy! Sun is out now so hopefully the storms are over.

Happy anniversary Jen! I hope you and Brad have a wonderful dinner out tonight and a great weekend!
Thanks! We sure do need to lift one another up - that is what friends are for. And I agree with the rough year!! Hopefully 2012 being a positive number will be a positive year.
I sure hope so too, it really has been an awful year for so many!

Good luck to Brian tomorrow! I'm sure he will do just fine! It's always exciting to run with a big crowd, really keeps your adrenalin pumping and keeps you moving! I remember my very first 10K, I was so afraid I wouldn't finish but everyone is so supportive and the runners really encourage one another. I would give anything to be able to run again, I felt the best I've ever felt in my entire life when I was running. Course, if I lost like 100 lbs. maybe I could! LOL I doubt it though, the dr. said with the nerve damage in my leg she did not recommend I even think about it. :(
I will be cheering him on from afar! Let us know how he does!
Mary, best luck to Brian. I admire him doing this. Yes, definitely hope he can finish w/o throwing up on himself. LOL. Im sure it does happen tho.
Mary, Im a "big arms" person myself. (Not big like mine tho -- flap, flap, flap)
Well, as you might have guessed, I didnt make any cards, but I did put my stamp index book back together. Need to make separators for them tho.
Glad I made you laugh. I think it would be fun as long as there are no video cameras anywhere close by. Come on, we're just big kids at heart!! LOL

Theresa and I are going up tomorrow. Guess we better check to see what stores have ended their sale. Where is there a great place to eat up there.
Mary, your son will do great. Sara did the full run once that I know of. I never thought of running when I was young and could.....hmmmmm can we say couch potato? Amanda, thanks for the lesson. Cindy, I will consider the bounce with the depends and one of those sumo wrestler suits....too many moving parts don't move as nicely as they used to. Speaking of which, Mary be careful on your ride. Bad knees are not condusive.......
I lean on you all for the laughter you bring me. I love that I can always find the humor of your posts. Angie, the cards are great. Here are a couple of the CAS Christmas cards. Can't wait to see what all of you are stamping. That is what we are here for! Hugs for a fun week-end to all going to Amish Country......sort of wish I was going! [ATTACH231848

Just talked with her. She is home! She says that she had a gall bladder attack not a heart attack. I am confused though as she said they sent her home with a script for nitroglycerin pills and I thought that nitroglycerin was for the heart issues... She seems to be doing well and is her feisty self again! Anxious to hear my brother's side of the story...
That is good news Jeaneen! I know you are relieved. Of course, as you said, waiting for the other shoe to drop. Thanks Amanda, as I said, they are clean and simple. I really enjoyed all my snowmen and the one Santa. I have some more but will post when time permits. Gloria, have fun tomorrow. Wish I was going! Cindy, they are calling for better weather this week-end. None of this sun~thunder~cloud~rain~crazy man pouring wter from a pitcher~kind of junk weather! Let's hope so. Have fun....think of me!

Jeaneen, so glad your mother doesnt have heart issues. I always thought nitro was for heart pain/angina too. Is she going to have to have gall bladder surgery?
Jane, I guess it's a fair exchange cause we depend on YOU for laughs.
Also, that santa is one of my faves. Both cards are nice. Love love love snowmen too.

Love your cards. That santa is my favorite. I searched high and low for it one year. Finally found it on the net and paid a small fortune for it. Next thing I knew they had it in Michaels. :(

I found it at Hobby Lobby last year. I've been meaning to use it for this year!
I created a monster! My scrapbooking neighbor is getting hooked on Copics after playing with mine! We spent the past several hours at her house coloring...and eating red velvet cupcakes!
