My swap is done and ready to go
Kristyn's swap is almost done and will be ready to go tomorrow or the next day!
I got a bunch of stuff today for my altered item. It totally blew what my original idea was, so I *may* keep what I got today so I can go with my original idea  and get new fun things to go with the old idea

You should make you DH ride B***H. I would pay money to see that!
Oh no, he's bad enough as a back seat driver in the car! I can see it now, one word from him and I'd be taking off and dropping his butt right on the ground!
Uh...BRIDGE...so, no, we didn't ride the bikes down. One of these days I'll get the nerve to ride across that bad boy! It was a perfect weekend, though!! Glad you were able to get out on your bike. DH went out yesterday for a couple of hours, I stayed home...after all that walking on Saturday my knee was killing me. So, I stamped instead.
We're cruising to New England and Canada. It'll be our first cruise and I can hardly wait!
One of these days Mary, you and I will ride across the bridge together! And you will do just fine, I know it!
I assume you are talking about the 'short' Chesapeake Bay Bridge?
anybody done the 24 mile long one in Hampton Roads? the one half UNDER the Bay? That's fun, especially since on one direction you can pull over and watch the Traffic( the sea lanes) go back and forth.

We used to live in Hampton and went across the bridge just to do it LOL Of course I chose a lovely windy day so it was rather freaky doing it with the spray coming across! It was fun though and definitely worth it.....although I think it is shorter to go that route to visit that area so I get the feeling I will be going that way again soon!
Yep I'm going to have lots of stuff for the silent auction. I've been cleaning out my room today. Anyone still use Sizzix dies? Well I'm off to keep cleaning......

Yes, that's the one I'm talking about! HATE IT!
I like the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel...THAT one I could do on a bike!

When I was at the CK Convention in Valley Forge, PA this past summer I got a free Wizard by Spellbinders. I've been using it and I like it. It's wider than the CB plus it's lighter. It does have a bigger foot print, so that is a minus for it.
WOW - I just found this and would love to join the swap! Will priont out the registration form, check with hubby, and if ok, will mail it in the AM! Off to dream of a design for the card... I will be coming *all the way* from Laurel...

Tracy & Amanda...I can't make it this time! So I am pushing the envelope and asking.......when is the next one? I have a "dinner date" at Toby's dinner theater with my husband to celebrate my b'day so working from 11 to 2, I just wouldn't get the cards done. Planning ahead........for when? Miss you all and wish I could be there. :^(

And it is so good and intimidating LOL I need some stamping boot camp! Thanks for the instructions though I have come to the same conclusion that I am using the wrong paper - do you get your watercolor paper at the craft stores? I use bazzill for scrapping and even the smooth side sucks for blending. Did you do that with just blending pens with ink pads?

You can get watercolor paper in the craft stores, sometimes even in Walmart in the fine arts departments. I like to get mine from the craft stores so I can use a coupon to get it even cheaper.
Stacy when you come over tomorrow, I can give you some watercolor paper to try out.
Wow tomorrow is Friday...I was sitting here thinking today was Wed. LOL should have known better a store I like does sales on Thursday and I have my list waiting hahahahaha
Stacy, I bought a watercolor paper pad from the art section (where the watercolor paints are) at Michaels. It isn't as thick as SU but honestly, I refer the thinner cardstocks for layering anyway. And SU's watercolor paper is trimmed small. I like that I can cut this down as needed. I find the SU paper wasterful because I can't get two images on one sheet, but I end up tossing almost half the sheet. Strathmore is still a nice weight though (and if you're in commerical printing, you know it's a great name). All I used to watercolor that image was blender pen and reinkers. I will be bringing a few extras of watercolor paper in case people mess up. There will be extras of everything really
Okay ladies, reminder we need to get those payments in so we aren't having to deal with them at the door.:p There is only 9 days left until the due date.;)
