I carefully edged my way into a sitting position ( the adjustment yesterday made things worse in my neck - my range of motion is darn near nil... but my lower back feels MUCH better! ), wiggled the mouse and the first thing that I saw ( an intentional measure on the part of my beloved Ward, I am sure ), made me laugh.... and RAE ANNE, I THINK LANCE NEEDS YOU TO BUY ONE FOR HIM, TOO. ;)

http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/p...il&picture=out

This went up on BBTS and EE yesterday for preorder. Get in while you can, 'cause they're limited release.

The 12", 18" or 24" Ash dolls were inevitible, but one of Bruce Campbell AS Bruce Campbell.... oh my.
By the end of June, there will be so many of the darn things collected between Chris's buddies that they could all get together, swipe the boys' G.I. Joe Jeep and have a little dolly party.

That store is downright addictive. It's one oif Chris's favorite online shopping haunts.
However, before ordering from BBTS, check Entertainment Earth's website and see if they have any of the things that you'd be 'in need' of. They're usually cheaper, ship faster and offer coupon savings via their catalogs ( which I have and would gladly share ).

Being married to a toy collector is a bad thing... on the plus side, I already know my Christmas gift:
http://www.entertainmentearth.com/pr...number=NC61100

And Joy.... this one's for you... prepare to swoon..

I still have it BTW - sitting somewhere at mom & dad's.

If it's an original, hang on to that sucker!! Depending on the toy co. and the year it was released ( the original stuff - a lot of it was Kenner, not Hasbro ), you could probably but a couple of weeks of groceries or fund a hefty month of stamp hobby loot with that big ol' hunk of plastic.

We have a bunch of G1 Transformers still.. Chris sold one in a pinch before the economy went bad... we paif our mortgage that month with the $$, with some loot left over.

This kind of thing is so beyond me - I am a clearer-outer so I could never save something long enough for it to become valuable. BUT I did date a guy in college who had paid for his first year's tuition with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle comic books!

cricketeew 11-21-2008 06:00 AM

Laura Jean you check is now postal! With a little something extra! So sorry it took me so long!

Yeppie for Friday! And my Birthday weekend! Not that I have any big plans! But I am sure some of my time will be spent stamping and chating it up with my SCS freinds! :)
Have a great day girls!!!

LauraJean 11-21-2008 06:53 AM

I'm back at the office ~ for four hours and I had to beg to get to come in for that long. He really didn't want me here at all....Oh well. I guess when the back starts talking to me a few hours from now I'll know why he said that ;)
Another adjustment, and I gotta go back on Monday Morning again.

off to staff meeting **YAWN**

The couple who owns the comic books stores that we frequent... he's just about 50, and when he hit 19, he liquidated about half of his mint or near mint comic collection.
Len paid for all but one semester of five years of college from selling off comic books, baseball cards and a few of his childhood toys.

He and his wife own their house outright, own their cars, take an insanely lengthy and costly vacation twice a year.. not on their 2/3's of a pair of small comic book stores ( his brother is the third owner ), and the limited funds that he earns from substitute teaching ( though that does help ), but mostly on his crazy comic book investments.

I'd never had considered the value of this 'crap' before I met my husband.

The downside is, you have a house FULL of stuff. Between his hobbies and mine, we need about 4,000 sq ft. to not end up with clutter in sight.

I saw it at 10 this morning. The tweens in the audience were funnier than the movie!

babitoons 11-21-2008 01:03 PM

SO I had another doctors appointment....they think I have Ebstein Var (spelling?) which is one of the viruses that cause mono....woo hoo! So I have an appointment with an ENT on Monday and my digestive specialist on Monday....and more blood work in two weeks. So all I have to do is rest, until it passes, and I still have the sinus infection...ick! But at least it explains why I'm so darn tired.

LauraJean 11-21-2008 01:06 PM

Hugs Jackie! hope you feel better soon.

I'm pretty proud of myself today. I got through the four hours work, and then managed to get groceries (on my own & taking the bus home). I thought for sure I was gonna need a cab home. It's BRRRR Cold out. But I have my happy stamping/scrapping event to go to, so I don't mind going back out for something like that ;)

I hope you have not been kissing anybody lately ;)

Seriously though, be real careful. If your spleen is enlarged things can get dangerous. Take care of yourself!!!

OH! And I got my Elzys today (did I already post this? - I cannot remember) Thank you so much for organizing this esp with all the strain and illness you've been under... now, time for you to relax!

daiseyfreak 11-21-2008 02:22 PM

LauraJean 11-21-2008 06:57 PM

Hey all, I'm home with a bag full of new LOOT! :P Joy, I think I found the company that makes that hoodie stamp you bought! Didn't get the hoodie, but found a purse stamp (huge!) I got so many cute ideas for it....

Can't wait to play with my new goodies....

Got some Gina K Luxury Card Stock (ooohhh now I see what the big deal is), Rupa's Retro Boutique Set (Gina K Designs ~ Rupa was there too and so was Alicia and Gina K of course), Two Marvy snowflake punches (the Super and Extra Jumbo- BOTH for $13!) SU retired Sweeter Treaters for $20 (I have been looking for this set!) and a Carla Craft binding system - which is much more better than the bind-it-all - portable, light-weight, and $30. The coils that go with it are $5 for 3-12" strips. Good deal! We did lots of make-n-takes, I did about half of them (there were 20 of them!) and it was soooooo relaxing - hardly ANY crowds, plenty of room to walk, maybe 3-4 people at each booth, and that's it. It was WONDERFUL. and I met barbaralynn (some of you might remember her - she has hosted a few swaps ) she's really sweet we hung out together all evening. Oh such a HAPPY ending to a CRAPPY Week!!!! WAHOO!

Now, off to find some dinner in the fridge.....I have not ate since uhhhh last night???
