Hey ladies! I've been off the radar for quite a while on SCS. Life happened in a BIG way to our family in the last year. But my obsession for Splitcoast and stamping has pulled me back in a big way.

I'd LOVE to get together!!! We just moved to South Weber - just north of Layton, so it sounds like it'll be really close for me. Let me put the word out to my old SU group (i'm not a demo anymore) and see if any of them wanna come hang out.

Just keep me posted on the deets!!!

cookscrapstamp 07-19-2007 04:03 PM

Welcome Melissa- We missed you at the last 2 swaps but am excited that you get to come to this one. Mark your calendar and be prepared to have a blast!

cookscrapstamp 07-20-2007 09:13 AM

Friday Bump!! Come and join us.

mischief732 07-23-2007 11:34 AM

Didn't want this to get lost! I'm off to the SU convention tomorrow! I'll check in when I get back.

I talked with ameliaharris99 yesterday. She said she might consider coming along with me if it is up North somewhere.

cookscrapstamp 07-26-2007 01:17 PM

Still working on location.

Bumping thread for more swappers. ALL welcome.

KJ 07-27-2007 05:51 AM

I can do the 29th! I'd be glad to do a crockpot dish or whatever is needed. Any rules on the "value" of the door prizes? I've never been to one before so I just want to make sure I don't make a fool of myself. ;-)

cookscrapstamp 07-27-2007 08:06 AM

Welcome KJ!

There is no set value for the doorprizes. We have had paint cans, stamp sets, Scrap pads, Misc put togethers (pen, notebook, matching whatever, etc.), we have had soo many fun prizes it is hard to list them all. You won't make a fool of yourself no matter what you bring.

I will put you down for a main dish and then we will ask around to see what else we need. Thanks for volunteering and reminding me I need to ask around for that.

:)

mischief732 07-27-2007 02:22 PM

Any location information yet? It would be great if it were in Roy, Clearfield, etc...........
Melisa

scrapshappen 07-27-2007 02:46 PM

I can bring a dessert.

cookscrapstamp 07-27-2007 10:15 PM

Thanks scrapshappen.. I have you down for a dessert.

No meeting place yet Missi.. Do you know of any?

mischief732 07-29-2007 07:47 PM

I just got back from convention this afternoon. I'm totally beat! I will rack my brain for a location tomorrow after I get some sleep (in my own bed!)
Melisa

RockyMountainStamper 07-31-2007 10:55 AM

I can bring whatever is needed for food, door prizes, etc. I've got NUM retired sets (cute), I just got a big order from Frugalities with all kinds of goodies.

As for location--did everyone say that they were NOT opposed to having it at an LDS church? I could probably very easily schedule the building where we used to attend in Layton and it's about a minute and a half off of I-15.

Just LMK and I can work on that if you need me to.

How can we get the word out to more people? I know there's a ton of Utah SCSers. Is there a way that we could get a list or something of all the gals who live here? Don't want to invade privacy, just want to extend the invite to everyone and let them choose whether to come or not. I know this "Get it together" section doesn't get a whole ton of traffic. Any ideas?

cookscrapstamp 07-31-2007 11:56 AM

I am here in Layton and can most likely get the building here but I was going to try to see if we couldn't head into Weber county..

As far as advertising we can put it in our signatures and call friends. Other than that, I can't think of much.

ejohnson 07-31-2007 12:11 PM

I can bring a salad/dessert. Cookie monster salad, so it kind of counts for both!

cookscrapstamp 07-31-2007 12:27 PM

Elana- I will put you down for a dessert, unless you tell me it would be more like a salad.. (singing the jeopardy theme song as I wait for your reply.)

mischief732 08-01-2007 06:17 AM

Layton would be fine for me, if everyone else is OK with that. I'll bring a snack (chips and salsa or chips and dip, something like that)
Melisa

Camie 08-03-2007 08:42 AM

Hey guys,

Tanya and I will bring drinks and a snack tray (cheese and crackers or something similar). Looking forward to it.

cookscrapstamp 08-03-2007 05:49 PM

Thanks Camie and Tanya!

cookscrapstamp 08-04-2007 08:05 PM

Bumping.

mischief732 08-06-2007 06:49 PM

Bumping

mischief732 08-08-2007 02:40 PM

Any news on a location?
Melisa

RockyMountainStamper 08-09-2007 12:48 PM

Where are all you Utah stampin' girls?!?

april 08-11-2007 07:22 AM

Bumping and wondering about location? What about the senior center in Roy? I'm not sure if they rent the place out or would let us use it but it might be worth asking.

mischief732 08-14-2007 01:04 AM

Any news on a location?
Melisa

cookscrapstamp 08-14-2007 11:57 AM

Called a few places with no luck so I called our building scheduler for the church here in Layton. She should get back to me a little later today..

It is pretty easy to get to. Missi- It is the same one we met at to carpool down to Springville.

The other thing that would be good if we did it there is no time constraint if we are not done.

Camie 08-14-2007 02:41 PM

Do we know what time yet? My son has a football game that morning, so I was just wondering if there's going to be a conflict.

cookscrapstamp 08-14-2007 06:31 PM

Camie. Have you guys gotten your football schedule yet? Layton City is a little slow in getting the schedule out and so we won't know what time our games are until then but I was planning on skipping his game if needed to.. I guess the question is to all.

WHAT TIME DO YOU WANT TO GET TOGETHER?

mischief732 08-14-2007 07:25 PM

Do we want to meet a little later in the day to accommodate some of the morning activities? Like around 1:00 or 1:30? If we have fifteen people I would imagine it we will need about 3-4 hours to do all the projects, correct? So, maybe 1:00- 5:00?
Missi

cookscrapstamp 08-14-2007 09:22 PM

1-5 works for me but then do you think we will still need the pot luck if it is after lunch time??

Come ladies. We need some input here, please.

cookscrapstamp 08-15-2007 04:13 AM

bumping

scrapshappen 08-15-2007 06:27 AM

If we did 1-5 p.m., I wouldn't think we'd need lunch, but we could still do potluck snack/treats/munchies.

I think I figured out yesterday what my project is going to be! Thanks for putting this together for us!

Paula

RockyMountainStamper 08-15-2007 10:32 PM

We ALWAYS need goodies, right??

1-5 sounds good--DS has soccer in the a.m. and that still leaves time for everyone to get back to family for the evening.

cookscrapstamp 08-16-2007 06:35 AM

Got a call back last night from the building scheduler and we have the primary room booked for our use. The directions are easy and I will e-mail them in September for those who might nieed it but I believe the address is 13?? W 1600 N in Layton. If you turn down 1600 from main street the church is on the left, you can't miss it.

We need to decide on the time that will work for all.. I think the options would be 12-4 or 1-5 since it sounds like most have ball games of sorts in the morning.

I will be sending out a PM somtime today to ask EVERYONE what time works for them and also to get a few more people to bring something for the pot luck. I am in agreement with Paula that we should still have munchies..

mischief732 08-16-2007 10:51 PM

I vote for 1-5 with munchies! Now to think of a project................
Melisa

cookscrapstamp 08-17-2007 05:40 AM

So far it is looking like 1-5.. I have had 3 people voice their opinion. There are 13 of us SO FAR. (more are welcome!)

Here I go to send out my PM..

RockyMountainStamper 08-17-2007 05:58 AM

1-5 sounds great to me.

Also, I can bring whatever is needed---I'm thinking we should have a lot of finger food type stuff so people can snack off and on throughout.

I could do a veggie tray---maybe have me and one other person cover that base and we'd be set.

Fun fun fun!

scrapshappen 08-17-2007 06:26 AM

My DS doesn't do sports yet so whatever time is good for others is good for me. I will still bring cookies or something sweet to eat.

Also, I'll talk to my neighbor about maybe doing this too. I mentioned it to her, but it was kind of in passing.

Thanks again for all your work on this!

Paula

Camie 08-17-2007 07:48 AM

Hey guys.

1-5 would be perfect for me. I'll check with Tanya and see if that works for her. Now I need to figure out a project. I'm so excited!!!

liandrin16 08-17-2007 07:50 AM

Either time is good for me. How about I bring chips & salsa? And we have to have chocolate, so maybe some M&Ms or Hershey bars? I'll see what I can find. ;) OH, someone needs to be in charge of drinks...let's not forget that!

My project is already planned, just waiting for final numbers to get it ready. Can't wait! (Guess I should find a babysitter, too, huh?)
