Question XYRON ?

OK, SO I JUST BOUGHT THE LITTLE XYRON (THE ONE SHAPED LIKE THE X). I AM THINKING ABOUT GETTING THE 510. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS, DO YOU USE IT ALOT? IS THERE A LOT OF WASTED ADHESIVE? HELP, I WANT TO KNOW IF THIS IS WORTH IT, OR SHOULD I JUST KEEP USING MONO AND DOUBLE SIDED TAPE?

I love my "X" and my 510. I have a small stamping space, so I don't use my 510 as much since I have to "get it" when needed. My husband uses the laminated cartridge quite a bit. I use the magnet cartridge more around the Holidays/Events so I can send photo magnets to family/friends. To save on adhesive I plan a bit ahead and have smaller pieces to go along with the larger ones. I place the smaller ones underneath the larger ones when I roll it through. That way the small pieces get adhesive but the larger piece still has a good bit of adhesive all around the edges. I may use or store the little pieces for later.

I have the 250 and love it and I'm thinking about getting the 510. Of course, I think I'm an adhesive addict and I want all I can get! I especially love using it to put "sticky" on pieces of ribbon for cards.

I have never used my 510 had it since Christmas. My X xyron I use all the time for putting my sizzlits alphabet on cards. It is the perfect size for that. Otherwise I use regular adhesives and with vellum I just use eyelets.

I have the 250 and love it also. Keep thinking about getting a larger one but never have. Daughter has the 510. She uses it for scrapbooking.

I adore my 510. I like the lamination and that I can put bigger items (pictures! die cuts! whole card fronts!) through.

...in fact...I've been contemplating putting the 900 on my birthday list!!

I have the old 850 (now 900) and I use it all the time! I have even run sandpaper thru it to put adhesive on the back for my DH. When I get a template made of cardboard I use the 2-sided laminate cartridge and make it permanent. Gotta love it
