Question Provocraft Zision Paper Trimmer - any opinions on this?

Does anyone have this 12" paper trimmer? It looks very similar to the Fiskars one, although in MUCH brighter colours. I am currently using my 2nd Fiskars 12" trimmer after sending my 1st one back due to wonky cutting. Now the new one's doing it, too, so I'm going to return it, but someone has suggested the PC Zision instead. I can get it quite cheaply from my local store, but don't want it if I'm going to experience the same problems. Any advice anyone?

Thanks

Helen

Hi Helen,

I don't own one yet!

I have heard great reviews about them though as for the colours as least you can't lose it LOL.

I have the fiskars huge Cutter the one where you can change the blades on, well I have to say I am not impressed with that as it does not cut a straight line. I would go back to using my other Fiskars cutter, but I cannot find the refill blades for that one, my LSS only sells the personal baldes not the Triple Track ones GGRRR!!!!!!!!!

The zision is great value for money!
It cuts way straighter than my fiskars ever did and scores well too.
My only dislike is the swing out arm - but then I tend to measure before I cut rather than relying on the cutter measurements.
I still want a Genesis though!

Thanks for the tips - I'll send my Fiskars one back and when the new one lets me down (which I'm sure it will as I think it's a design fault) I think I'll get the Zision.

Just noticed your location, mizgeorge! Whereabouts in the UK are you? If you haven't done so already, please join our Bring Stampin' Up! to England campaign by following this link: Forums at Splitcoaststampers

Woohoo! I am so happy to hear the Zision is a decent cutter for the money. I found one for cheapish in the dollar store yesterday and just had to pick it up because I'd never seen it in a store before, it came with both a cutting and a scoring blade, and it was the only one left. I was a little puzzled because the store was selling scoring blade refills in packs of two, and I don't know why a single blade wouldn't last the life the cutter.

I have one and I do like it. My only concern is the cutting blade seems to get dull quickly. Replacement blades seem to be hard to come by as well. I have not been able to find them locally not even the store where I purchased it.
