Those of you who dip into other vendors/products...
and use Stickles....what are your most used colors? I want to try these again because I've seen some really cute ideas, but don't know what color(s) to get! Any suggestions/ideas?

When you list your favorite stickles, would you please also add where you buy them from? Thanks a_place_for_ink for asking about Stickles. I have been thinking about giving them a try, but have not seen them anywhere.
Okay, sorry if I sound behind the times, but is stickles the same as glitter glue...like the elmers glue with glitter in it? That's what it looks like to me, but maybe the glitter is different?

I have the old Tulip brand glitter glue, Elmers glitter glue and Stickles! By far, Stickles is the least watery of all three. All three have nice glitter to them and dry eventually, but Stickles is thicker to apply and does not run much. You can apply it more "at will" if that makes sense. And I like the colors that they come in. Prior to last weekend, I only had Crystal and loved that. But I discovered that our LSS carried them and it was just in time for the Labor Day 20% off everything sale so I bought like 8 more colors!
Nadine529, can you please describe Stardust or Frosted Lace?
I just got some and I am also not sure what to do with them. I think you use them just like glitter. .
Yes, and consider that the glitter and the glue is in one application! I find myself using it alot for flower centers, for outlining certain images or just giving a splash of bling here and there.;)
Stickles is great for anywhere you want to add a littlle glitter. You apply it only where you want it and don't get glitter everywhere. It's not watery and applies smoothly. You can put a blob or draw a line or shape easily. I got some from my DSS last year and use the silver, turquoise, and lavendar alot. Click on the word stickles to get all the info you need!
Nadine529, can you please describe Stardust or Frosted Lace?
Sure! Stardust to me is very similar to SU!'s Dazzling Diamonds glitter. It has a nice translucent quality to it. I use it to accent anything. Shoes, flowers, pixies, snowflakes, anything...
Frosted lace has more of a white base to it, with a whitish/silvery sparkle. Its good for say, the fur trim on Santa's hat, snowflakes, anywhere that you'd have white that you want to add a little sparkle to.

Wow! Thanks so much for the info! I'll definately have to get some of my own! Cheryl

She seems to have all the colours of Stickles and is great to deal with. I have about 12 different colours and love them all!!!! I cant say I have a favourite, I just love them all.
LOVE my Stickles! I tend to use Stardust and Crystal the most, but also really like the yellow and black. Love the black, especially for flower centers. I punch out Summer Sun or So Saffron daisy and add a little black stickles to the center - easy black-eyed susans. I think that black Stickles is a must for everyone.

I found them at Hobby Lobby yesterday in packs of three. I bought red/green/gold and silver/copper/gold. I can't remember what I paid for them. I already had icicle and crystal and love those.

I really like the Crystal, because it will add sparkle to any color ink you use. Just color your image with your marker/ink/blender pen etc... and let it dry, then use the Crystal Stickles over top and POOF you'll get a nice little sparkle
Although I think I'm going to have to grab some Black for Halloween cards
I have every color they ever made. I can't just have one. My most favorites that I use all the time are: Stardust, Crystal, Diamond, Waterfall, Eucalyptus, and Fruit Punch. But all the color are great! I find myself using the yellow and orange peel for the center of flowers a lot too.

My fav thing about stickles is they don't string. I bought some cheap glitter glue at Joanns I think, and it strings so bad, I can't get the dot to break away from the bottle, it's like freaking hot mozzeralla!!
I have several colors and they are awesome! Starting with a color like Icicle or Crystal is a good choice because they go with everything. Beware that you will soon become addicted though and have to have more colors!! I just ordered the Orange Peel and Black from TAC for some Halloween projects. I also plan to use the orange for flames on candles and I've heard the black is great for flower centers!
It's a quick, easy and mess free way to add some sparkle to your creations!
Aarrgh - I was just at Archiver's yesterday - it's 30 minutes from my home, so I don't go often.

You girls are in AWEFUL TROUBLE!! I just bought 12 bottle of the Ice Stickles on ebay because of you! I do have one bottle but haven't tried it out yet, but I am doing christmas goodie boxes so I want to dazzle them up with a bit of glittle and really dislike glitter glue. Besides, they were only 3.00 a bottle. Addicted To Rubber Stamps wants 3.79 per bottle so I did save some money.
Thank you for the Stickles color descriptions...I've been wanting to get some but wasn't sure which color.
Lasting Impressions with Panache sells them for $2 & you can spend up to $15 and only pay $1.50 for shipping. http://www.lasimppan.com/stickles.htm

Better than Elmer's glitter glue. It flows smooooooothly.

Thank you Nadine, they sound blingy! The black also sounds very interesteing...gotta find me some of that.;)
I like to add just a little glitter, very subtle. I put the stickles on a piece of cardboard, and apply it to the card with a toothpick. That way I don't get globs, and it lasts a really long time. I like the icicle, but I have several other colors, and they are all pretty. We did a holiday project for our township. I had stickles for the kids to put on refrigerator magnets. They put so much that they are probably still not dry. They loved the stickles, but I don't know how much they got on everything by the time they got them home. We won't be doing stickles for little kids this year.
Almost everything can be improved with a little glitz. Eileen

Thanks for all of the great input! I asked because I am thinking of getting the colors from Wilde Ideas (got an email from them). Is the buy 4 get one free a pretty good price? I have never found all TWENTY NINE colors in one place before, so I was thinking I could splurge and then not have to be sorry I didn't get 'that color'...lol...know what I mean? The price is 1.99 and so with one free, this has to be the place to get them, right? And don't you all go buying them all up before I get a chance to read responses!! ;-)

There is also a 'refer a friend program'...in case you know someone who is going to buy from there - might be worth referring your friend! Anyone who wants to refer me is fine with me! hahaha....

Glad I saw this thread! I looooove Stickles!! I use them on just about every card I make!! I use yellow alot for stamped flower and Prima centers. I also like the black for Prima centers. I also like to color in outline images with them. Fruit Punch works really well for small flowers, Eucalyptus works for the small greenery. Stardust is great too, cause it's clear! I use it anywhere I used to use Dazzling Diamonds! If you check out my gallery, most every card on at least the first page uses Stickles for something!
