Count me in! I am really looking forward to this. And April 9 should work for me. Bellamare you can probably car pool with those of us going from San Diego.
There are quite a few of us in San Diego already planning to car pool, and we would love to have you ride with us Bellamare! I'm just off the 15 in North county, so you would be coming by this way any way. Just stop by here and pile into a car! I wonder, could we do a shoebox in the car too??? Looking forward to the 9th!

Thanks everyone for looking after me. I will take you all up on your offers. I can not wait. I have never been to anything like this before. I just started scraping a year ago when we were living overseas. I have no idea what a shoebox is. Also can you tell me what i need to bring along.
How many people do we made the shoebox swap for? Does it depend on how many people sign up to go or is it just going to be a set number? Also, is there any kind of theme? Okay... one more... are we also going to do any swapping?

Last time we made "x" amount of shoebox swaps. Then we were given letters (a, b, c) and it was organized so that you did the "x" amount of swaps after your letter. It's fun becuase you don't know which ones you are getting. We did it this way because that is what worked for the group of us that met.
There is no theme. I think we just want current SU! sets.
If we do a swap or not will depend on what the people who are going want. So far, I know we have more interested in doing a swap than last time.
Again, there would be no theme for the swap.
The reason for no theme is so that you'll feel free to share whatever you want with us! You're not limited to certain sets.
I didn't get a chance to read all the posts, but saw everyone is welcome. Does that go for non-demos too? Would love to come. April 9th is good for me!! Thanks.
you make a project, and then provide the *makings* for everyone else to do. All cut and ready to stamp and mount. Etc. (they used to say it all fit in a shoebox, LOL)

Yes!! Non-demos are more than welcome to come, too!!
Shoebox details:
The shobox swap will probably be for 8-10 people for each project. Not more than 10. Think of something that can be done in about 10 minutes and where all the project components can easily fit into a shoebox or similar size container. Cardstock should be pre-cut and the box should contain absolutely everything needed to complete the card or other project. Stamps used should be current SU. Cardstock and ink also SU.
If everyone begs Emily really nice-like we might talk her into teaching another fun make'n'take this time.

I'll be coming from El Segundo with a few in my car. Please, please, please do a make n take for us. Everyone in my card will bring you a special thank you card! Rozie
Yes Emily Please do another make and take. The bracelets we made last time were so cute!
Plus I need a refresher lesson on the box card paper folding thingy! Believe it or not I did make a few cute Christmas cards that way but I've since forgotten how to do it.
OOOH, I just had an idea... Should we do door prizes? Anyone bringing a small stamped gift will get a raffle ticket, and all the door prizes will go on a table. Then numbers will be randomly drawn and the person holding that ticket can go select one of the door prizes from the table.
I would love to do it (Or I wouldn't have suggested it  )

LOVE the idea. It would be great to have lots of fun door prizes we could win throughout the "Day O' FUN"!
Trabuco canyon has a resort now? We used to go hiking back in there alot when we lived in Lake Forest. I would love seeing that area again! We moved down here in '95 and haven't made it back to OC.
I haven't chimed in for awhile (my 5-week old has been keeping me pretty busy...but that's for another posting... ) Anyway...
I'm still SOOOOOO excited for this gathering (and April 9th sounds great!) I'm also up for the swaps, door prizes, and, Emily, I may not know you, but you sound AWESOME and I would LOVE to learn something from ya! Do you like chocolate? I can bring chocolate to persuade...
Question: Do we just keep checking this posting to see for sure it's on the 9th and WHERE it will be? Or does someone end up notifying us? Do we need to put our email on here so they can do that?
I'm just FULL of questions...

You can PM Joy with your e-mail address. She will be posting a registration form in a day or so that you will fill out and send to her. It is set for April 9th - just pending for a good Orange County location. As Joy mentioned above there are a couple of possibilities. If anyone else has a good location in Orange County please PM Joy ASAP. Thanks!
