I bet this would work...
What does everyone think? |
Please do not feel you yourself are under attack.
Many, many folks are simply unaware or do not understand the ramifications of distributing someone else's intellectual property via such means and the negative impact it ultimately has.
I'm afraid that in this day and age, the benefits of technology also bear some negative ramifications, when misused, or used illegally.
Copyright infringement and image theft are both on the rise.
Hence, you will see that many companies are now taking measures to protect their intellctual property: SU! now features their images printed in grey-scale in their catalogs, to help curb illegal photocopying/scanning (mechanical and electronic reproduction) and distribution.
Many artists, like myself, are now watermarking their finished card designs right smack dab in the center of the image, because we've found our original works harvested from online, and pasted into websites without our consent, and often passed off as created by the person that harvested it.
Those of us who have spoken up about this are simply striving to increase awareness; if the folks who make the stamps we love cannot earn a living by selling what they've created, their businesses will not survive, and we will lose great stamp lines to buy and enjoy . . .
