If you want to see some beautiful country & don't mind a drive, there is a wonderful little shop in Strasburg - Rubberbuggy Art Stamps & Supplies. It's in what used to be a 'breez-way' in the owners home & is packed with a hugh variety of stamps (mounted & unmounted), inks, etc. Samples all around the walls - all made by the owner so she knows how to use everything she sells. It's just off of 896 - south of Rt. 30 (near the Rockvale Outlet Center) and a bit north of the little town of Strasburg. Address is: 304 North Star Road, Strasburg PA 17579 - Phone is 717.687.9536 - website is rubberbuggy.com - Just tell her Kitty sent you!

There's a scrapbook store in Norristown, Scrapbooks N Smiles, I think it is. No stamps at all. I'm not a scrapbooker, so I don't know how it compares to other stores. That's the only one I know of in the area. I'm really surprised there aren't any stamping stores around here.

It's another little excursion from Philadelphia, but there's a great store in New Castle, Delaware, called White Swan Rubber Stamps. New Castle is directly south of Philly off Rte. 95. Take the exit for Rte. 141 south and follow the signs into old New Castle. It's a charming little Colonial town--the store is on Delaware Street (the main street) in the Old Opera House building. There are some other shops and a couple good restaurants in the town, too, so if you have a car I'd recommend it. It's about a 30-40 minute drive from central Philly if it's not rush hour. They have a web site www.whiteswanrubberstamps.com

I forgot to mention that Delaware has no sales tax--another plus for shopping here!

Hey Sharon, where do you live in NJ? I actually live about 1/4 mile from the Happy Scrapper, in Cinnaminson.

I've also been to the White Swan in Old Newcastle. Beautiful area and nice stamp shop. My best friend has a historic home right on the Green.

Default NJ scrapbook store

Scrapbook Station is in Voorhees NJ which is within a short driving distance from Philly and Camden not very far from the Echelon Mall on Burnt Mill Road, very close to the Ashland High Speedline Station. If you don't have a car
during the trip you can take the Speedline from Philly or Camden to Ashland.

They are mostly a scrapbook store with some stamps.

At Christmas time I was in Point Pleasant, NJ visiting the in-laws, can we say YUCKO? I know near by was a place that had just opened called Firefly scrapbooks. I loved it. Also went to Treasure Island and got some cute stuff on sale. Treasure Island seemed a lot like our Hobby Lobby.

DH and I like to spend time in Philadelphia when we travel to his parents so I would love to know of any stores. Luckily he will go with me since I am visiting with his parents!

Are Treasure Island and Hobby Lobby like Michael's and AC Moore? We don't have those in my area. Thanks for the suggestions!

I don't know about AC Moore because I have never been in one.

Hobby Lobby has fabric which Michael's does not. HL also sells a lot of home decor items.
