Wooooooooo, San Diego! Sorry...back to serious discussion, LOL!
We have found ourselves a new horse...
Personally if I use 10 different cards for inspiration I don't bother. I might say that the card is a compilation of a bunch of stampers but even that isn't needed IMO. I don't think anyone has ownership on how you place your brads, colours, embellishment placements, etc.
If you make cards and you give, send, donate, sell or post the card on the internet there is a possibility someone will CASE your card without giving you credit. It's happened to me. The only sure way it will not happen is if you do not share your cards with anyone. And that is not what our card making is all about.
i started in this hobby because of the sheer joy I derive from creating. I don't sell, do challenges, have a blog or a gallery, do card submissions for contests, nor receive any financial gain for making my cards.
For me, it's the creating that is my focus. I do look at cards in the gallery for some ideas. I greatly appreciate those that provide me inspiration to make my cards.
I'm thinking that either way she wishes this dead horse would be left to die.
Actually, the OP addressed this on her blog today. She still wants to be asked for permission before anyone CASE's one of her cards and refers to those on this thread who take issue with this as "vociferous protesters".
Other than the one card on her blog today, I am taking great care not to accidently look at any of her other work. I certainly do appreciate those who do post their creations here to share. The kind and creative spirit of SCS members has inspired me for years. While I have never purposely CASE'd a card in the gallery, I can't believe how my cardmaking and paper crafting skills have grown because of the ideas, work and links found here. I would like to thank those who so generously and freely share their work, advice and talent on SCS.

Makes you wonder why have a blog anyone can access as you can password those babies, and why there is no watermarked copyright on those 'unique' creations.
Personally I don't worry about CASEs - whilst I would be flattered, life is too short for me to get wound up and vitriolic about cards.
ETA - just went to visit the blog it seems all this is to bump visit numbers. Nothing said there that couldn't have been said here.

Yeah, when the kid in the grocery store (just doing his job, I'm sure) asks, "would you like some help out with that, ma'am?" I feel like clocking him with my cane. Oh...wait...I don't have a cane...
What's a lot worse for me is the young kids calling you "hon," "dear," or "sweetie." I should carry a little card to hand out to waitresses and drive-through girls that says, "Keep it up, sweetie. . . there's a punch in the nose in your future."

(I'm only half kidding!! LOL!)
Years ago, back in the 60s, there was an older female employee the would use various forms of endearment towards me. One day say called me dear or something and I replied yes honeybunch just as the big boss walked in. Never again did she use words of endearment towards me.
If one doesn't go to blogs then how is one to know the card maker's rules, stipulations, etc? Sounds a bit ridiculous to me.

Well then, my opinion has changed.
So much to say, so little I should say...
