Red face Questions on dominoes, I need help!

I have several questions about doing dominoes.
1) I soaked them in clorox bleach and the dots didn't come off, is that okay?
2) Do you sand them down next?
3) If I want to color the whole dominoe can I use the SU classic pads?
4) I know that I then stamp with stazon in black for my outline and then let it dry.
5)Then do I use my sharpies to color it in?
6) Do you use embossing powder after that and if so how do you use the powder, do you spray it on somehow or do you pour it on the dominoes and brush it off and then heat with your heating gun?
7) Do you also do your tiles this way?

Please help me!

Default dominos

1. I have found that the bleach is not necessary.
2. I sand lightly just to get the shine off.
3. I would not recommend classic pads for any part of the domino. I use only stazon and adirondack pens. It is hard to color in with a sharpie because it is made with the same chemicals as the stazon, so if you touch your line it will smear.
4. I usually spray mine with a sealant (from FAR away, several light coats)
5. I make my tiles the same way as above -sanding. (tumbled tiles, not glossy or glazed)

Smile Domino Help

There are so many ways to do dominoes....Here are a few tips.

You don't need to bleach, but when you do it is not to take away the dots, but to "rough up" the surface of the domino so it accepts your coloring medium choice better.

Try using a painted Lumiere mixed with Pearl Ex....then stamp in StazOn black for coloring without coloring.

You can also sponge StazOn color on for a softer look without smearing.

SU Scrapbooking Markers work wonderfully for coloring in.

Try using Krylon pens for edging - gives it a finished look.

Clear Emboss or use Crystal Effects for shine and sealing.

Hope this helps!
