The song I always remember is the counting one.....
12345, 6789 10 11 12! I don't even know where to begin to look for the song!
LOL! That's the one I remember too!!! Do you remember what comes after the 12345, 6789 10 11 12 part? I do .... "at the ladybug picnic"!!! That was always my favorite!! ha ha ...
I like the Oh Can't you see there's a bird on me ... it's funny and made me laugh and there's nothin' wrong with that! Maybe we all need a little more Sesame Street in our lives!! ha ha ...
How funny! I totally remember that song! I still remember the bird sitting on the elephant and it was swishing its tail at it. Makes me want to see the Sesame Street "video" that went with it LOL!
I too LOVED the 123 456 789 101112 ladybugs at the ladybug picnic.
I'm also having flashbacks of the typewriter - anyone remember that? I can't quite recall if he sang or what...oh those were the days...
So funny! All I remember about the typewriter is it spelling out "Cat, Little cat" something like that. Brings a smile to my face.
Check out the Ladybug picnic at
I so love that one too! Luckily my 3 year is a huge Sesame Street fan and every now and again they will have a skit or song from way back.
Ahhhh yes......we could all use a little more Sesame Street in our lives!

Jimbre that was AWESOME! It really took me back... of course my husband thinks I'm completely insane. Now, what about the C is for Cookie song?
You guys need to go out and purchase the Sesame Street 35th anniversary DVD "The Street that we Live on" that came out last year. It has a bunch of the best clips from the last 35yrs....I bought it for my son - but I think I'm enjoying it wayyyyyy more than he is. I get choked up when the show the scene where they have to tell Big Bird that Mr. Hooper has died.... And yes, they have C is for Cookie on there....
Come on sing with me... "Rubber ducky you're the one, you make bath time so much fun",(then that squirty laugh, sorry can't even begin spelling it!!) lol!!

Yes, you're right! This video is a must for any true Sesame Street fan. I haven't watched it in a little bit but I so know what you mean about loving it more than the kiddos. I even put it on when my older sister was over so we could remember together.
All those fun songs are right here. http://members.tripod.com/tiny_dancer/index2.html
I had to search a bit to even start this thread!
My girlfriend and I sat at the computer yesterday reliving our childhood!
(and our children's childhoods!)
Check out the "Menah Menah" video from the Muppet Show. I forgot about that one. I was laughing so much my kids came in to see if I had truly lost it this time!
Oh my goodness, I love remembering all these songs. My favorite of all time is the 12345 678910 11 12 song. I sing that all the time.
Do any of you remember when they would do the number with the baker and he would be on top of the stairs and say 11 fabulous cakes (or something like that) and then fall down the stairs?

That's the first thing that came to my mind - the baker falling down the stairs. Thanks for the great links!
