Oh Can't You See

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to put this thread, I just didn't know where else to say this...

Anyone else remember the Sesame Street song when you see Wild About You stacked?

Fabulous cards, I'm NOT making fun. It's just that every time I see one, I convert to my Sesame days and sing that song!

jmom 08-21-2006 10:00 AM

I totally didn't remember the song till i heard it again. Now I see what you are talking about. And the cards are fabulous too.

michlz319 08-21-2006 03:07 PM

I had to listen to it also. So funny. My husband is giving me strange looks.

michlz319 08-21-2006 03:08 PM

The song I always remember is the counting one.....
12345, 6789 10 11 12! I don't even know where to begin to look for the song!

LOL! That's the one I remember too!!! Do you remember what comes after the 12345, 6789 10 11 12 part? I do .... "at the ladybug picnic"!!! That was always my favorite!! ha ha ...

I like the Oh Can't you see there's a bird on me ... it's funny and made me laugh and there's nothin' wrong with that! Maybe we all need a little more Sesame Street in our lives!! ha ha ...:)

scrapbean 08-21-2006 05:19 PM

I love that number 12 song!

My3LittleGirls 08-21-2006 05:31 PM

How funny! I totally remember that song! I still remember the bird sitting on the elephant and it was swishing its tail at it. Makes me want to see the Sesame Street "video" that went with it LOL!

I too LOVED the 123 456 789 101112 ladybugs at the ladybug picnic.

I'm also having flashbacks of the typewriter - anyone remember that? I can't quite recall if he sang or what...oh those were the days...

jimbre22 08-21-2006 06:21 PM

So funny! All I remember about the typewriter is it spelling out "Cat, Little cat" something like that. Brings a smile to my face.
Check out the Ladybug picnic at

I so love that one too! Luckily my 3 year is a huge Sesame Street fan and every now and again they will have a skit or song from way back.
Ahhhh yes......we could all use a little more Sesame Street in our lives!

rosowskimom 08-21-2006 06:30 PM

love it!!!

I totally remember this song and the Ladybug Picnic!

How about..."One of These Things is Not Like the Other?"

Now I am going to have!!! to get this set.

Jimbre that was AWESOME! It really took me back... of course my husband thinks I'm completely insane. Now, what about the C is for Cookie song?

Stacey D 08-21-2006 06:53 PM

That's good enough for me!

You guys need to go out and purchase the Sesame Street 35th anniversary DVD "The Street that we Live on" that came out last year. It has a bunch of the best clips from the last 35yrs....I bought it for my son - but I think I'm enjoying it wayyyyyy more than he is. I get choked up when the show the scene where they have to tell Big Bird that Mr. Hooper has died.... And yes, they have C is for Cookie on there....

*O*2*B*stampin' 08-21-2006 06:58 PM

Come on sing with me...
"Rubber ducky you're the one, you make bath time so much fun", (then that squirty laugh, sorry can't even begin spelling it!!) lol!!

*O*2*B*stampin' 08-21-2006 07:01 PM

Oh yeah, and (forgive me I have a three year old) the one with the pigs singing....
I got a new way to walk
Walk, walk......

Yes, you're right! This video is a must for any true Sesame Street fan. I haven't watched it in a little bit but I so know what you mean about loving it more than the kiddos. I even put it on when my older sister was over so we could remember together.

CAStampinMel 08-21-2006 07:10 PM

:D I had forgotten about that song!

Here's C is for Cookie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6NXDA3XAWQ

When SU came out with the ladybug picnic stamp set, I could not get that ladybug picnic song out of my head! It actually "inspired" me to make this:

Anyone remember Bert "doing the pigeon?" LOL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0nSlPszq0o

florascrap 08-21-2006 07:20 PM

Darn, I don't know what the song is and the file won't open!

Thanks for linking my card, though (the top one)! :)

mndnco 08-22-2006 07:24 AM

All those fun songs are right here.

I had to search a bit to even start this thread!
My girlfriend and I sat at the computer yesterday reliving our childhood!
(and our children's childhoods!)
Check out the "Menah Menah" video from the Muppet Show. I forgot about that one. I was laughing so much my kids came in to see if I had truly lost it this time!

jranagel 08-22-2006 07:53 AM

Oh my goodness, I love remembering all these songs. My favorite of all time is the 12345 678910 11 12 song. I sing that all the time.

Do any of you remember when they would do the number with the baker and he would be on top of the stairs and say 11 fabulous cakes (or something like that) and then fall down the stairs? :)

That's the first thing that came to my mind - the baker falling down the stairs. Thanks for the great links!

canben 08-22-2006 08:29 AM
