hi all , i deleted my fairy,s from my gallery overhere .
( its very diffucult for me to say it in english becouse i am dutch )
i donnot like that some people see it as porno , it are only hand drawed images from fairies.
i want thank the modorators that they let it trow , i thought than it was ok .
it is my art , my style ,my designs and i love them .
sorry for all the people who love them , iff you want to see more of them please go to my website than.
i shall not showing them anymore on this gallery , that hurt my feelings alot , but i didn,t want that they talk bad about my images , i do nothing wrong, i only bussy with my stamping arts.
its what some people say , donnot say nothing at all than..
and about kids look at them , turn your tv off , becouse there is a lot of nudity and bad things on it too .
i hope everybody who offended me is happy now .

I'm sorry that you felt lead to delete them. You are very creative. Maybe next you could design some that have some clothes on them, post them and then eveyone will talk about the "seductive little faries" instead of the naked ones.
I Can Not BELEIVE the way Brigitta was treated here on SCS!! She did nothing wrong. I for one am staying out of the forums. I get my "drama" from the soaps, thats enough for me!

And it seems poor Brigitta got burned in the process! I wonder if those with offended sensabilities really thought it was worth hurting a fellow artist in such a way...it makes me wanna cry to see what was done to poor Brigitta!:mad:

And we wonder why we have such a bad reputation across the pond. Our double standards never cease to amaze me.... sad.... Brigitta's statement "turn off the tv" really made me laugh, because she is so RIGHT about that... be interesting to see what the viewing practices are of those who were "offended".... (and porno depicts sexual acts, not simple nudity)

The human body is beautiful (not mine - but in general :mrgreen and to say a nude is porn , well I just do not agree. I take my neices and nephews to museums and they see the nude statues and they look and move on, its the adults who always make the comments, is a shame we grow up and get jaded.
Censorship is fine but the misuse of it is criminal IMHO.
I am sorry they are gone from the gallery.
Well I am going to the museum again next week, so I'd better go get some sheets so I can cover all the nude paintings.
Okay, I very rarely post to such hot threads, but this one has me hot under the collar. I am ashamed that grown women would treat another person with such animosity. I am not directing this to everyone who had the opinion that the faries were offensive, I am directing this to the few who posted mean, negative, or disrespectful comments to Brigitta's gallery. Everyone here has different opinions - that is what makes us as human beings wonderful. But, with having those differing opinions comes the responsibility to be open minded and kind to others. I didn't have a problem with the faries...I thought they were very cute. Does that mean I can't respect your opinion if you DON'T like them??? NO! I am a firm believer of agreeing to disagree. The huge problem I have is that some people left hurtful comments in this person's gallery. So, you did not like the images? You were offended by them? Then DON'T LOOK!!!! No one is forcing you (or your DH or your DD or your DD or your firends...) to see these images! If we start this whole trend of being offended by cards and leaving negative comments, we will be opening Pandora's Box. What about all the religious cards? What about the FU cards? What about the cards with Christmas images or messages? I don't agree with the humor or philosophy of all the cards posted. Do we leave nasty comments and make the poster feel bad enough that they take the card off the gallery? (That is exactly what happend to Brigitta.) I agree that this is akin to the book burning. What a SAD, SAD society we all live in. SHAME on those of you who left negative comments in her gallery. That was NOT the place to post your (negative) opinion. I respect those few of you who stood up for your opinion (even if it was not the same as mine) here in this thread and NOT in her gallery. (Thank you.)

Holland has a very different culture to America and I think that should be taken into account by people who feel they need to tell Brigitta that they find her fairies offensive.
I would also like to say that I don't think SCS is always a "safe" place for children to be - think of all those subjects discussed in the forum. I would much rather my DD (9) saw a naked fairy than read some of the threads.
It shouldn't matter that this is the internet. the gallery has been a safe place for all ages to be in. I see that differently now. If that is what is in there, children shouldn't be. And I think that is terrible. I don't care for my husband, son or my daughters for that matter to view them. I don't think this is the place for it. This isn't something one would demo. Is it?
but SCS is not limited to just what one can demo, and the gallery Mods obviously approved the image or they would have pulled them thierselves. This is also not just for SU! There are many vendor created and original creations on this site and the gallery, not restricted to just one company or weather it can be demo'd or not.
I like Brigitta's fairies, I love fairy art anyway and so many of the fairies in art are nude. My children have seen fairy art, both ways nude and clothed. They were certainly not pornographic.

There are 80K plus members here now there is no way you are going to be personally connected to what any one or 100 of these 80k plus members post comment wise or to the gallery. If this was a personal site of yours then yes I could totally see your point about what people you know might think by being directed here by you. We all have to give a little and choose what we view and not make that choice for others.
Just a curious thought about those who were offended and commented.....didja not see it was a nekked fairie in the thumbnail?? Coulda not clicked on it.....

I have specifically stated everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I did not say or imply you or anyone else that found the nude fairies were uneducated, or prudes. I ASKED a question, trying to keep an open dialogue as to understand your position a little better.

This is totally uncalled for and unacceptable on this board. Even though I don't agree with Debra, i would never, EVER say the things you just did. I think you might want to go back to lurking for quite awhile.

One thing you will learn is that most people on the site do not prefer others to decide what thay are thinking and post collectively about it. I urge you to read the TOS(terms of service) for more information. I know this iste is great and you will be able to enjoy all that it offers, but we do ask that some guidelines be followed.

Come on it is really not nice to name call. It is our opinion that SCS was not the place for the fairies...that is all. It is really simple for me ... my young children look at the gallery with me. I do NOT want them seeing things like this at a young age. Brigitta is a great artist, I am sure but fact is that those of us who do not appreciate seeing this kind of art are God's people (uptight God' Warrior is very ugly and totally uncalled for) . God's art is beautiful YES but it is also clothed for a reason. There is a time and a place for everything and it is my opinion that is not the place. Maybe if we were living in another part of the world this would be the norm. But we are not.
You are right about the TV ~ prehaps that is why we have parental control over what our children watch. We do not have movie channels nor do we watch anything that is not child friendly while the children are around or awake for that matter. But then again that is another topic all together.
Honestly do we have to be so ugly about this? Everyone has an opinion and everyone sees things differently that is what makes the world go round. Why must you take up arms and resort to ugliness. We, those of us who do not appreciate seeing these kinds of things in the gallery, have not said one ill word against Brigitta or anyone else for that matter. If that is what you like that is fine ~ the ones with the hurt feelings are those that are being attacked for having an opinion against something. Not Brigitta.

I'm love2cheer, and i'm only 15...unfortunatly i got a little nosey and starting reading the naughty fairies board while my ma left the room...so, I simply got on and registered as a new person. Sorry to everyone who was offended by me i'm ONLY 15. To be honest when all of you were saying it was against "TOS," I didn't even know what the heck you were all talking about! I really just got upset because some people are really rude on this board..honestly...don't get mad at this dear lady I know as my mom. I wasn't raised to say rude stuff, but sometimes...people just press my little high school buttons...well, too all of you! Bye!
Back to mom (embarassed mom) I don't know what Stef wrote as it was gone before I got back to the room but I explained to her that you can't have 2 identitiies on this board and if SHE got me banned, she would not be getting her drivers license next month. So I know for the mod's to delete it --- it was totally inappropriate and I apologize.
She did say it was something about God warriors and that is a joke among her friends after that Trading Spouses or Trading Mommies show where someone went wacko... just so you know where that reference came from.

I did not see the quote to which you were referring but I do believe that Brigitta's feeling were very hurt...you just had to read her post after she removed her images to see that and it makes me very sad to know what was done to her here!
Now we just have to figure out what "God's people" means. ;)
ETA: at least one of the people who appreciates seeing "this kind of art" is one of God's people by my own definition. Photocropper, you don't speak for me so please don't claim to.
