Default Looking for Canvas Totes

I came across a project for stamping on canvas totes in the Summer/Fall Papercrafts magazine. I'm interested in making some of these totes for gifts. Was wondering if anyone knows of anyplace that sells these in bulk? Thanks!

Smile Canvas totes

Hello- I bought mine from Orientaltrading.com. they sell in lots of 12- I bought 24 stamped my customers name on them with alphadots using fabric markers. I put the new catty inside along with wish list, postits, inspiration sheets and a pen. One of our projects was to stamp any decoration they wanted on the bag!

Hobby Lobby has a couple different sizes. Sorry I don't know the prices or sizes.

I got mine at Micheals but not in bulk-I think looking at Oriental Trading is a safe bet.

I order mine from www.nasco.com If you buy 6 or more you can get them for $1.70 each. The bags are a nice size too, 14" x 16".

Thanks,

If you go to ebay>crafts , then search for canvas totes you will get 800+ items. THEN look at the left sidebar and click on Wholesale Lots. You can buy plain canvas totes for $1.25 each to 1.79 each..... depends on how many you purchase.
It looks as thought the primary seller of the really plain totes is nepi. I have not dealt with them myself but with feedback number of 9845 @ 99% positive rate, I would go ahead. (I usually check seller's feedback. If they have only sold 10 items, I am very reluctant to go ahead)

You can get some from www.dharmatrading.com, too. Simple non-gusseted ones start at $1.39 each, bigger/stronger bags start at $4.95, and there's a "really big bag" for $10.33. They have canvas lunch bags, too. Here's a link to one set of totes: http://www.dharmatrading.com/html/eng/3399-AA.shtml

I've had good experience with dharmatrading purchasing silk scarves and tie-dye materials.

Our homeschool co-op bought silk scarves and dyes and made a ton of colored play silks out of them. Waldorf toy catalogs sell dyed silk play scarves for up to $10/each and we made them for less than $2/each. The kids love them for making capes and skirts and doll blankets and tents, etc. My 3-1/2 y.o. daughter brings a pink one in the car to cover her head when she takes a nap.

Now, thanks to the OP and seeing the totes, I'm thinking of having a tote-decorating session at co-op this year. Great idea - thanks for sharing!
