just finished 8 mini clip boards for fall craft sale. Found them at Archivers and covered them with DP then pollyed them to make them "usefull" The one at the store was done in a kitchen theme to hold a recipe card. Ran with the idea. Will get the photo's on in the am.
I am looking forward to seeing them!
I have been working on chipboard books, studying and just finished some St. Pat's cards. Got to get working on Easter cards and some of those fabric projects soon. Spring break is the week of March 15...hopefully, can get a bunch of things done then!
We break the end of the month this year,...last year it was the first week of March,...so I'm hopeful that it will be a bit better weather this time. Have to finish some dish cloths,...my stand by project at work if I don't have a stamp/coloring project to do.

Hey, BarbieJo! What kind of dishcloths are you making?? I've recently learned how to crochet and dishcloths seem to be my 'thing' right now; I'm looking for all kinds of patterns if you might have one to share!

Are they crochet or knitted? I only know how to crochet.
I crocheted washcloths this past Christmas...and, they liked them....I just used a basic granny square and edged it with single crochet....very easy and was able to get one done in an evening......I also made up a poem to go with it...it's kinda stupid, but, everyone thought it was funny.....I was just thinking, you had to do something special with it, because it is just a dish cloth, if you know what I mean.....I have to hunt it down, if I find it and you girls want to hear it....I'll pass it on...but, it's nothing great....
If you knit or crochet there is a fabulous website called Ravelry.com. Go there right now! They have bazillions of (mostly) free patterns for both knitting and crocheting. It is splitcoast for the fiber crowd.
Great tutorial, got some of those pretty cocktail napkins, now found a use for them. I started a new stamping/scrapping/gift idea group today, five showed up, which is prettyb good for spring break starting. Had a great time, exchanged some ideas, and just good time to talk to some fellow crafter.
Making another purse, this time with fabric with horses printed on it for a lady friend of mine who is in a group that supports the mount police patrol here in KC. She use to show horses along time ago, so I think she will love it. Finished a K-State tote bag for my daughters' boss this week-end, it turned out really well, I tried to make it so she can have either a really big purse or a nice size tote, whichever she feels like using it for.
Where of where is Cindy...haven't heard from her for a long time.

I'm here....lurking for now. Don't have much to say, not much going on in my crafting world.....too much ***T in other parts of my life to deal with. Mother, driving us crazy, issues with our mentally retarded brother who lives at home with Mother, issues with son, Clark, in getting him graduated and into new home......lets see...what else can I add.......????
I got the scalloped square die but, have had no time to play with it. I did get an order for 40 thank you cards the other day from my sister. So, I have to start on that tomorrow.....finally got all the supplies in for it. Doing this one I Just Love You! by cvansluys at Splitcoaststampers in different colors same theme.
Don't worry, things will get better....just don't know when. My poor blog has been neglected too......AGH!!!
That is a lot to deal with, my sil has a son with down's syndrome, it's tough to make sure all needs are being met.Hang in there, and my thoughts are with you.
My four day weekend starts in 3 hrs, 12 minutes, and I am counting it down.
Thanks Mary and Patrice! Wayne and I along with my sister and our BIL are going for a 3 day weekend to Philadelphia and we are soooooo ready for a break! Plan on playing a lot of Mexican Train (if you do not know what that is it is a domino game played with double 12's), partying, seeing some sights (including Eastern State Penitentary) and eating some really great food.
Almost have my horse rag quilt purse done!! This one is going together much faster and I even added some pockets to it too! Got fabric on sale at Jo-Ann's awhile back. For less than $10.00 she will have a "one-of-a-kind" purse!
Got all my board books covered with DP and now in process of sanding edges. I am making a total of 12 - 8 page books. Some will be for Teacher thank yous at the end of the school year and some will be for Christmas gifts. I just thought, while I am making teacher gifts I might as well do assembly line for Christmas too.
Have not started on any Christmas cards but, have made some gift bags and gift tags....go figure last year I was nearly done with Christmas cards this time last year but, no bags or tags.
I am also working on those 40 thank you cards that my sister ordered from me. Got all the stamping finished.....had to color each of the flowers and stems with markers.....do you know how tedious that is to do 40? Then to use my Stamp-a-majig to get them all even and with the sayings.....tedious! I will take a picture and post when I get them all done....en mass.
How is everyone else doing? Mary, I will shoot you a note later.....have to tell you something that rest of group probably won't want to hear.

Here are pictures of my last two rag quilt purse and tote that I made. The horse one went really fast (getting the hang of making these!) The K-State is a tote bag and I added a flower pin that can be removed and worn by itself. When my daughter gave her boss the tote bag she screamed and some of the help came running to make sure she was alright! She guarded it for the rest of the day and was heard mumbling.."it's all mine and it's the only one like it"!! I made the fabric covered buttons, easy peasy to do.
How did you add pockets to the rag purse? I am making one, adding to the size, will be a diaper bag. Looking at it, there could be several possibilities to accomplish this, just not sure how to go about this.

Patrice
Patrice, I sewed together two squares (or however many long/tall you want your pocket to be), than I turned down what would be to top, about 1/4 inch and stitched, this keeps the top from being stitched shut. Than add them where you want them. Of course the squares that are covered by the pocket, those will have to be sewn together first, than add your ends into the seam/row of squares you are sewing. I hope this makes sense, it's kind of hard to describe on the computer so that it makes sense.:???:
Patrice, I took two pictures this morning of the bag turned inside out to show how I did the pockets, hope this helps to explain my previous post better.
Okay it's taken me this whole week to steal snippets of time to go through this entire thread! Cindy thanks so much for taking time out of your very busy life to send me the instructions for the magic pillow case! Great ideas...now to get onto it and put some of them in to action. Have decided that I need to utilize my "awake" time better, so lunch times at work are craft times now too! Have a super great weekend and to everyone who has shared on this thread - Thanks!!!
Anyone have an idea of where I can find the instructions for the punch art frog? I am making bookmarks and want to use the frog!
