Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!! These sound totally awesome (the fruit and the peppermint bark). I have GOT to try these for Christmas gifts!!!!!
Oh, I'm so glad to help! It is truly fun to share those neat ideas/finds with everyone! Oh, by the way Patrice, did you find the directions for your wreath made with Sizzix dies yet? Maybe someone here can help. I did a google search also and came up with nothing.
I haven't found the exact one I saw previously, but did get some other ideas. My hospital is having a wreath auction, to benefit a drug rehab adolescent ward, and I would like to do one of these wreaths. I have the snowflake die, I guess I could just wing it, but they just sent out the notices yesterday, and the wreaths have to be turned in by the 17th. For me, that;s not enough time. And I have to get this craft fair over with first.

Patrice, I am thinking about you and I hope you get everything finished that you want to and that you have great success at the sale!
When you get a chance, I know others of us would love to see your wreath when you get it finished!
I will take a picture of my table after it is set up, and see if I can post it. Weather forecast is below freezing Saturday morning, and us east Texans don't do well in cold weather. We will see how it goes, if nothing sells, then I have lots of nice things for friends, co workers, and spend some time chatting with some other SU demo's.

Oh Brr!! I'm in the Bay Area and it is going to be around 36 this evening - I'm freezing!!!
24 degrees with a wind chill factor of 12 and snow flurries here in Omaha, NE. What a great day to stay bundled up in my craft room organizing and planning what I need to make for Christmas. (at least for another hour and half, then off to pick up the kiddos)
Breezy929 and Aknaack5 -- Your weather must be moving east . . . it's an unseasonable 50 degrees here now but there are predictions of snow for the weekend.
Today was a total bust. It was 22 degrees when I got up, had to unload all my stuff, set up table. The other two demo's bailed on the craft fair idea, so it was me and another demo. Hardly anyone got there before 10 am, and after the town's little Christmas parade, people started coming in the park. Had a lot of lookers, commenting how nice our work was, jut not many takers.
Well, dh has a lot of cute embellished candy bars to hand out at the office. lol
Live and learn, I guess, I hope my feet get warm eventually.
I am tired, got two bickering grandsons, grumpy husband.

So sorry about the craft show today. It sounded like you worked so hard on it all. And I am sorry that the other gals bailed on you as well, that had to be disappointing.
I did craft shows in the 80's and had the same experience....just wasn't SU. Hope you take some much needed "me" time soon!
Christmas cards are all signed sealed and delivered to the post office this morning - well ahead of the usual schedule.....all the extra gifts are made except the nuts and bolts snack mix for the guys - have the packaging and tags ready and some of the ingredients bought - but will wait to make that closer to Christmas for freshness - and have all the cookies to bake...............last night after getting the cards done for this year - I looked through my favs and picked out 6 cards that I plan on making for next year - got all the supplies pulled together and in between other holiday cards and gifts will work on them......... and will also be looking for great gifty ideas for next year....... have a few ideas already but always on the lookout for more!
Yeah, the man could use some Grinch, grump, and down right bah hum bug pills. The little boys wanted to have a "Big Christmas party" this evening, have pumpkin pie, apples and bananas, their menu of choice. Dh is being such a wet blanket, no holiday spirit at all. I guess it comes from his upraising, Christmas was an inconvenience to them.

Patrice, Don't let his "bah hum bug" rub off on you! Gotta keep the spirit, if nothing else, than for the grandboys! :-D
I don't think I've ever noticed almond oil in the store. Is it by all the other oils?

I have not found them to be in regular grocery stores, I go to a health food store. The brand I use (for making potpourri in years past or for using in aromatherapy) is Aura Cacia. If you want some but, cannot find in your area, let me know. Generally, depending on the scent, they run from $7 - 10 for a .5 fl oz bottle. HTH!

Wow, Jo, that's awesome!
I get Almond Oil at the drug store or natural health store. It's sometimes cheaper at the drug store 'cause they have a store brand bottle.

I brought my stuff to make a few more cards, and I get the warning JCAHO is in the vicinity. They are a review board, they come in and make sure we are doing what we say we do, and most facilities that lose their accreditation do not get reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid. They will spend 3-4 days in our area, going through departments, nosing around. It's always a big drama.
SO, I better keep my creative stuff in my bag for a couple of days.

Oh crap, that sucks for the crafting but, at least you got a warning. When I worked at the nursing home, we never got more than a short notice!
My sister, who is a dept chief in Ultasound, goes through the same thing....here in St. Louis.
Made a batch of Denise's Lotion just now. I used the Cucumber Melon Baby Lotion and wow, does it smell great! I filled 11 - 8oz ball jars at a cost of 2.55 each. Not including the packaging I will be doing. I will add to my gallery in a day or so, when I finish.
Whipping the vaseline for a long time in my stand up mixer sure made a difference! Thanks to Mary (CraftMomto2) for the hint.
I'm going to be making bon bon crackers this week to set on the dinner table, I've not bought the cracker snaps yet and I need to get the boys to write out jokes. Once I have all the pits collected I will make them up.

oh GOOD! Then you have time to mail my cards and wrap my presents and....oh nevermind, I don't have the time to write out the list. Guess I better go do it myself
Have you ever made any of these popcorn recipes?? I picked up the ingredients for the flavored, but could only find butter and salted popcorn. I bought the salted, but I'm wondering if it will work or just taste like salty fruit flavors! lol!

this must be an Australian custom that we do not do here in the states. can you share it with us?
You might just know them as another name.
1 bonbon gets put on each plate and you grab the ends with the person sitting beside you and it pops or cracks. Inside usually is a lolly/candy, joke, confetti and a party hat.
I make them out of paper towel rolls cut in half. Pop in your treats. Tissue paper wrapped or christmas paper, rolled and taped, and ends tied. You decorate how you wish.
The snaps for the pops are usually bought at a craft store, over here anyway.

Cool! Thanks for explaining.....so they are like the British Party Crackers then?
They've probably become a mix of everything over the years LOL
I'm guessing yes they are the same as UK. I usually buy my snaps at end of year sales you can pick the up cheap, but I only have enough leftover for half my bonbons at the moment, bummer.
