hi there
I am new to the site and this is my first time to post anything. I have been stamping for a few years now and I became a su demonstrator about six months ago and I am loving it.
I am getting married in the summer and I am going to make my own invations. I would really like some help with other ideas so the invatations tie into the rest of the wedding. decorations, favors, or anything else you can think of.
Welcome to the site and Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! There are so many things you could do... give us some starting points as to what you have in mind, your style, your colors, etc.
Are you planning on printing your invitations or stamping them or both?
Here is a recent thread on place cards: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
Welcome to Splitcoast... This is a really fun place! For wedding ideas you can just click on the word 'gallery' up at the top of the page, then type the word wedding into the search box. Of course, you may get way more than you need, but it is a lot of fun to browse. Blessings on your wedding day and on your life together.
we are going to get married in my home town, which is small. the ceremony will be in the church and the reception in a curling rink. It will be taking place July 29th. My colors are purple whites and silver. It is just going to be a simple wedding nothing to elaberate. my flowers are purple and white roses and cala lily's.
I am making my invatations using stampin up products. They are white with silver imbossing on the front and vellum paper printed on my computer for the inside. underneath the vellum is lavender lace cardstock. I havent desided on which design I like the best yet. one has two hearts on it useing the sketch it stamp set, and the other uses the two hearts from the happy occasions set.
Woohoo - July 29 - that's my wedding anniversary! Just finished making 250 invitations for my daughter's upcoming wedding in May - she actually decided on a pocket card - then the inside had an actual picture (wallet size) of her and her husband to be along with the invitation information - she's more of an "earthy" person and did not want any vellum or fancy stuff _ I would have Loved to have something nice, feminine and pretty - like the vellum - take a look at that calla lily like Lisa suggested - it would be so pretty to incorporate it - we are making favor boxes and putting a treat mix inside it carrying out the colors. Good Luck!
thank you for telling me about the stamp set, I passed over it somehow. I am sure I could work it into the wedding somehow, if not I like it enough I want it anyway.
