Default Dzyntec handles - removing?

I want to take the handles off my dzyntec storage units and can not figure out how to get them off. I've tried putting finger nail polish remover around them - didn't budge them. Then I tried the heat gun - they got all warm and soft but still wouldn't come off. Any suggestions from someone who has gotten the handles off would be appreciated. I really want to be able to stack these.

Thanks!

I got a lot of help from someone (Jami?) in another thread about this. Here's how I took mine off: First, I removed the handle by pushing in on both sides and slipping them out of the holes in the little cubes. Then, I just put a screw driver in the hole and pulled up until the little cubes popped off. They didn't come off cleanly, meaning you can tell where they were, but when you stack them, you don't notice at all.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I looked up the thread and the person who gave me all the great advice was Shirleyone, not Jami (although Jami also gives wonderful advice!) Didn't want to slight anyone. I probably should have looked up the thread before I replied.
