I raise my children by this one rule of life that about covers everything, my eldest is nearly 21 and i laugh because i hear him quoting it to the 6 year old at times.

My neighbor has 5 rambunctious kids that love to roughhouse around with each other. Ultimately, one will think of something really dumb to do, like having "tag" rock fights, and will get hurt and come crying to her. She always says this:
