Two of the techniques Jen suggested for the Teapot challenge are favourites of mine, which I've featured before in the TLC: faux bandana and faux stamped leather. I only managed to fit one of them on my card, though.
I play piano and flute, and have several stamps featuring them, none of which I used.
DH plays guitar and clarinet (and can play sax, but we don't have one), and I DID use one of my few guitar stamps today.
Favourite way to add music - probably using a background stamp, I have at least six if you include hymns from ODBD.
I love flowers with music (or fine script) stamped on them. I sometimes use old sheet music for die-cutting them, or for gel prints.
I can play chopsticks and a few notes of born free! LOL. Tried guitar, but can only strum a few chords. I play the keyboard (typing keyboard that is!) I remember when my youngest was small and we were in Walmart and he went up to a keyboard and started playing! I thought I had birthed a prodigy! Until he showed me that the keys light up and you just press those keys! Talk about heartbreak! LOL. My oldest took piano lessons long enough to play Jesus loves me in the church one Sunday morning. But that was it. My mom plays by ear and it is her stress relief, like card making is mine!
To add music to my card making, I stamped a musical score background stamp.
Today's F4A is a wordy one: Word Stamps or cut up words from a magazine or computer generated or your very own penmanship ..... your challenge today is to create a card, journal page, tag, etc and make the quote, sentiment, verse or Psalm the star of the show.
No MIX yet. I can either play catch-up from last week, but I think I might try the stained glass with foil which is today's Holiday Blitz tutorial - in the Inkling and HERE. Especially as I have both heat-safe acetate and double-sided adhesive sheets.
My husband wants me to learn guitar. Guitar is the instrument of choice in our family although we do have a keyboard that both kids have plunked around on. Steve says it would be good for my brain and I am sure it would but I just don't want to. I tried to learn when I was 10 and it didn't go well. I would rather just listen to others play and learn art techniques!!
How fun, Angie! I love the guitar. I have 3..a Spanish style, a steel string & a 12 string. I taught myself to play when I was about 10 or 11. Learned to play by ear, then mom made me take piano so I finally learned to read music, lol.
Agh!! I feel terrible! Somehow I have totally missed mentioning that Falliday Fest started this week! Falliday Fest is designed to help build up our holiday project stash and donate to local or Splitcoast card drives! (Check the Cards for a Cause forum for some great donation spots.) If I have the dates correct Falliday Fest continues until the 15th and the upload deadline is November 21, 2019 at 12:00 Noon Central Time. So there is plenty of time to join in the fun and build your holiday stash!
If you are playing along link to your favorite card so far! We went to see what you have been working on!

Our son learned to play by ear. He is really good at it. He just picked it up one day a few years ago.
I took a peek at the inspiration site, Angie. I get inspired by color so I like that site! Wish I was doing the Falladay challenges as well as the inspiration. We are in the process of packing and getting ready to move. Move date is the 19t- I'm getting both anxious and excited - lots to do still! I'm looking forward to setting up my new craft room and getting back in the swing of things here!

The Featured Stamper is up! Oh, I took a look at Lora's gallery and she colors the cutest images beautifully! Even if you can't play along, I encourage you to visit her gallery!
Next up is the TLC. Judy is featuring one of the techniques we did at Lydia's retreat. We had so much fun with this technique. I have a sample in my gallery, it's the green Meric card.
The Color Challenge today would work well for Christmas cards. Most of the cards in the gallery are Christmas but the combination can be used for any theme.
Today's Teapot challenge is a masculine thank you. Check out the challenge. Imagine the surprise Andrew will feel if we all send him a thank you!
My stamping has been limited this month. The cards I have made have not made it into the gallery...even a few I made on WCMD!
But tonight is the VSN Mini, so I had to get myself in gear! I hope you all can play along! Spoiler alert: I used this week's colors for the 2nd mini challenge
Did you know that today is the 15th Anniversary of the Dirty Dozen? Yes it is!
If you are a Fan Club member you can join in the fun monthly theme challenges HERE.
If you are not a Fan Club member is a bit of information!
Oh, I think I might join you for some bird-watching ;-). I coloured a penguin image whilst watching a DVD the other night, so they are sitting on my desk. And today is slated to be a ME day - after getting up at 8.30 to take a double load of washing to the machine at the filling station. The washing machine engineer totally killed my machine yesterday morning :-(, and won't be back till next Thursday with the required spare part. I never even came upstairs once yesterday, so I'd like to get to the MIX too.
I have to praise this site for presenting challenges that never have an ending. I was making a card for this week's Mod Squad Challenge (I enjoy those at times) and it has presents in a wagon. This fit perfectly with a challenge from August in the Fan Club. Here it is if you wish to look: Holiday Greetings by lovinpaper - at Splitcoaststampers
Now to work on the Virtual Stamp Night ones as those are going through my head.

Thanks so much for posting a link! I am so glad you were able to play along with the August Challenge!
The Sketch challenge is up and it's so interesting with diagonal strips from two corners.
Are you currently working on Thanksgiving Cards? Christmas Cards? New Years Cards, Valentines Cards? Or Something else?
Since I am on a couple of DTs I tend to feel a little off kilter with the holidays because I create with whatever I am sent and we have to create ahead of time so customers can place orders. Sometimes I feel a little "seasonal schizophrenic" but I love it. I am never bored because I am always moving on to the next thing!
I am currently creating with valentine images. They are so sweet. It's kind of fun to have a break from Thanksgiving and Christmas images. And my cards don't look very "valentines" as I just follow my heart when I color any image.
Case in point my Blue pumpkin with the adorable Miss Mouse.
I have 4 family birthdays in Dec and 3 in Jan so birthday cards it is (or should be)! I love making Christmas cards so even though I think I have enough made I probably will sneak a few more in there too.
Ann there are so many fun ways to go with birthday cards so that is fun. I think Christmas cards are my favorite cards to create too. I create them all year long. I was just telling someone that they are my favorite to stage for photographs too. Too bad I can't use ornaments and greenery all year long for staging photos!
WT767is KRAFT day! That is going to be a very pretty gallery.
Have you ever colored directly on kraft? If you have a favorite kraft card you have created in the past link it. If you are playing along with today's challenge let us know and we check it out!
The IC is up! Our inspiration this week is Christmas ornaments but if you are done with Christmas cards for this year don't let that stop you from playing along! I created a card for my general stash.
Yes, you're right about the IC, Angie. I loved your card and it was not a Christmas card. There are different holiday items for inspiration, such as Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day. Anyway, you can do a theme, color, layout.....so many things to inspire someone. Just create! I am definitely still doing Christmas cards.
