Hello fellow Mixability challengees! This week I've got a wide open challenge for us all!
If you're new to the Mix-ability challenge and wondering where to begin, right here is the best place... just have some fun with what you have on hand in your supplies. Now if you want to know more head on over to "What is the Mix-Ability Challenge?" and find out more details like supplies, or mediums, to use.
This week's challenge is inspiration heavy and directive vague, that means enjoy creating based on what you see or think!
Here in this forum we encourage the use of mixed media, it is easy to do once you've stamped an image, then it's a matter of adding something in the mix. Just two mediums (paint and ink, chalk and marker, etc.) and be creative with what you have!
Ready to share in Splitcoaststampers? Upload the project in your gallery and add "MIX356" as a keyword in the tags section!
Enjoy your time crafting! See you in the gallery!

If you look at the gallery for this challenge you can see I went just beyond inspiration from the boxes but made my own. The boxes I made were simple ones where I just cut a square of cardstock and scored the edges. I cut a slit in the corners, folded up the scored edge and glued it. It wasn't a fancy box but it worked to hold the real fun, the little mixed media cards.
Not much real daylight today, best photo I can manage on a murky day. I really enjoyed making this last night.
Inks, paints, Snow-Tex are my mediums. MIX356 Hopeful Bird
Can I ask a silly question? What does 'Gratitude box' refer to? I like these, just not familiar with the term.
Hi Vannie, I’m sure it’s a made name by the teacher whose blog I found it. Maybe a Thanksgiving Day version of May Day baskets, or the Halloween “Boo” bag that has happened in our neighborhood the past few years.
EDITED: I stand corrected! It is a thing, here’s a description.
A Gratitude Box is a fantastic tangible reminder of all that you have to be grateful for, especially during times of loss, hardship, or when you just want to feel all the love and blessings you have around you! Creating a Gratitude Box is helps you to open your heart and deepen your sense of appreciation for your life.
