Default Casing/copying cards on gallery

I just want to clarify something with everyone. I am making some cards for a silent auction to go towards charity. My question is: Is it okay to make the same cards in the gallery? I will stamp the cards in the back that fulfills the angel policy stamp. Is this okay?

Thank you in advance.

I vote yes! The gallery is here to inspire creativity or give some of us who aren't all that creative a nice leg up. I know there are some who will gasp in shock and horror at the thought, but if you are really worried about it, just PM the artist and ask if they mind.

Good luck with your auction!

This is a good question... curious to what the responses are going to be. I was thinking of making a bunch of cards to sell at work and found a few out here I would like to use.

I would say it's fine, they are for a good cause not for publication or a contest, you know?

I think the only time cas'ing becomes an issue with anyone is when a case'd card is submitted for a contest or publication. Case away

For me, I'd be thrilled if anyone wanted to CASE my card to sell for a worthy cause or for their own use. I'd definitely be upset if someone CASED and submitted my work as their own here or anywhere else.

I say go for it!

Speaking for myself only, even for charitable situations, I ask permission from the original artist to use their design, for anything beyond strictly personal use (birthday card for grandma, etc.).

I do this that so the artist whose work I am borrowing, feels valued and appreciated for sharing an idea that helped me when I needed inspiration. UKWIM?

As others have already mentioned, CASEing for publication, personal gain, or contest entry, without seeking and receiving permission, would be an issue.
