Default Brown Craze

Are there as many people as me that's obsessed with brown right now? Like Pink/Brown, Blue/Brown, Light Purple/Brown combinations? I seem to reach for brown CS or ink often these days. I hope it's not just a fad but here to stay. What do you think?

I think we have the DD to thank for this. I also love all of the brown combos, I think because brown works so good with the vintage/distressed look, the black seems to be so stark. I hope that it is here to stay too. Even if it doesn't, I will still use brown.
Speaking of brown, I am getting 2 packages delivered today!!!!!!!

What can brown do for you

I have my friend to thank for getting me addicted to the brown family. Same here, if I am not using brown, I usually reach for tan or light brown CS or ink along with pastel colors.

I am also addicted to adding glitter (Stickles) for the final touch of a card.

I agree that the shades of brown are much better for the vintage look, but I also love the pink and brown combination it is very warm and inviting. If you don't like the deep browns try something with carmel and ivory, I really think you will like it after you work with it a bit. If you never do that's ok that is why they make so many colors something for everyone.

I was just thinking yesterday that SU's samples on their websight and recent mini cattys use a lot of brown/blue combos. Must be the "in-thing" right now. I'm sure looking forward to using that new Bashful Blue with Close to Cocoa.

It's not just us!! I was at the mall today walking around. The Limited has BEAUTIFUL cocoa-colored clothes in the front of the store!! I loved it all. They mixed it with a dark coral, turquoise blue, and a pink. They were all soooo pretty!! I made a comment to the sales lady & she said that it is the big spring color. I sooooooooo love it!!!!

Love pink and brown!! Rose Romance and Chocolate Chip are one of my favorite color combos. And yes, it's not just in stamping - I saw the most gorgeous pink and brown tote bag in a store the other day - if I wasn't saving for stamping supplies I would have scooped it right up!

I have been a brown fanatic for years. I love coffee inspired anything, real wood, etc. I would never have thought of putting brown with some of these colours and I think the combination warms up any colour.

Default Brown Fan

I have gone nuts with the brown color as well - it's so nice to have a different color combination. everyone seems to be enjoying the colors also that receive my cards. I think I'm gonna be hunk up on these for awhile!

This would be a great opportunity to have a brown color combo in the Color Combo Challenge. We had rose romance and chocolate chip a couple of weeks ago. How about it? I think MamaK has been doing a lot of those challenges lately.....

I have never to put brown with light purple! Chocolate chip or close to cocoa and pretty in pink are two of my favorite brown combos. Guess what I'm doing when I get home! Tee Hee

I experimented some time ago and found that brown looks great with just about any pastel colors. Pink, Light blue, Light purple, pastel orange, light green, I'm sure pale yellow might be interesting also. I used to hate brown but have a great new appreciation for this color! I have a lot of variety brown ribbons. It's fun!

Close to Cocoa and Barely Banana is pretty, too. For that matter, Cocoa and most of the Soft Subtles go really well together. Can't get enough of those browns!
