Some of my cards were from swaps also. I can't wait to see the totals and everyones entries for the contest too! This is a " feel good " for all contest!
Just took mine to the Post Office - she said you should get them Friday or Saturday. I didn't have as much time to stamp as I had anticipated, sorry...but I was able to finish two entries for the contest, and five cards for the troops to send (and a few extra envelopes). Thanks again for hosting! Linda

Seriously tho, you got 40 cards in a priority mailer.... good to know ;)
Believe me it was a TIGHT squeeze!!!!!! There is more tape on that envelope than anything. My postal worker just laughed at me!!!!! But somehow I managed to get 40 cards plus 40 envelopes in the mailer.
I'm glad to see that some other people used their swaps too. I have so many it's a shame to let all that great work go to waste sitting in my craft room. At least now they will be enjoyed and admired!!

Thanks! I put it in my favorites until I can get around to playing with it. I learned how to do the bow tie in 8th grade & I can still fold it and have taught many how to do it. FYI.... 8th grade was a realllllllly long time ago ;)
For the record, since I'm not judging, any chocolate sent to me will be used for pleasure purposes only, not as a bribe Did I mention I lovechocolate???
That was not a bribe, just a little gifty for all of your hard work - and Halloween is just around the corner!
What girl doesn't love chocolate? I don't know any!!
Glad you enjoyed it - for one brief moment, anyway!

I will get mine finished up tonight and in the 2-day express mail tomorror, Friday, 10-28-05. I will add my little note inside the cards, so that the cards can be used to send to family. Also, I am just sending in the X-mas cards and not joining the contest. This is a labor of love for all the men and women serving for all of us. I am sending you 60 Xmas cards for your hubby's troop. Thanks for hosting this Swap.

Are we related? My mother has been going through the same thing and I'm about a thousand miles away.
I hope you MIL is better soon.
Jennifer I took you out of my signature today since it's so close to deadline. I'll miss you!!! Thanks for the chance to help the troops!
sorry to be dense, but is it due to you by the 31st or in mail by the 31st? Just wondering.... I had planned on sending you some but got busy and lost track of time. and silly me it is now the end of the month.
If in mail by the 31st I can send some monday if due to you maybe I will learn not to lose track of time..lol
*If anyone else is interested, I won't be judging until next weekend, so if you can get your entries to me by the end of the week, they will still be included*

Rox71--I already miss being attached to your sig line! LOL! Thanks for doing that. I hope your Mom is better soon too.
I still think if stuff is mailed tomorrow, it will get to me by Monday
Thanks, she is doing MUCH better, and thank you for doing this contest!! It is such a great idea. This is the first time I have entered a card in anything, and I really love the idea that so many cards will go to our troops. Wish I could have helped out more!!
Hey everyone. I just wanted you to know Jenn went out of town unexpectedly. Her grandfather passed away and it was quite the shock. Please hold her and the family in your prayers. ~Lorie

Lorie, thanks for the update. We are keeping Jenn and her family in our prayers in their time of sorrow.

Thanks for updating us on Jenn, and tell her she will be in my thoughts and prayers. I know just how she feels, we had to bury my Father this past Wed. and that was the hardest thing I had to do in a very long time.
So, because of that I will just be getting my 60 cards in the mail tomorrow. My cards were finished but I wanted to type and copy x 60 a thank you note go go with all of my cards. And wouldn't you know it my printer was out until Sat.!!
I don't think we can ever do enough for all the brave men and women fighting for all of our freedom. And I hope my cards and notes will let a few of them know how much I am proud of them and pray for them!!!
