Okay all you talented ladies... in looking in the gallery and seeing all the TALENTED Crafters, I know some of you have ideas as to what to make for Baby Shower Favors for the guests. Could you please give me some ideas. I am giving a shower for my DIL on November 10th.
Also, favor to ask......is any one willing to provide me 20 images of the hippo from the "Bundled of Love" SU Set on Lavendar Lace paper ? I am going to cut them out and use as them as a 3-D effect for the invitations. They are going Hippos in the baby's nursery. I have placed this in my Wish-Rak Wishes but have not received any yet and need to get started on creating these invites. Let me know what I can do to accommodate you for providing these images for me.
I saw the cutest thing at a baby shower a couple of years ago. Someone had decorated sugar cookies with a baby face done in frosting. They were individually bagged in cellophane bags with a poem "from baby" thanking everyone for coming to the shower.
Hi Deborah,
If I had already ordered that set, like I have been meaning to, I'd have them in the mail to you tomorrow. Sorry!
For favors, I think those baby sock coin purses would be adorable. I know the clasps are available online and I'm sure there are tutorials out there. Of course, there's always the nugget boxes, decorated baby food jars, etc. For a rubber-ducky themed shower I threw a few years ago, I bought a candy mold and yellow and black melting discs and made chocolate ducky candies. They were very cute and easy.

For favors I've made the boxes out of pp, attached vellum (with "___'s baby shower and the date printed on it) with brads and put candy in them. For a shower I'm helping with next month, I made bags (tutorial under resources) from pp, stamped a baby stamp on them and put a stamped voltive candle in them.
I don't have that set either but the only baby shower favors I made (and which went over well) were the "sour cream" containers to which I added a tag and ribbon to and held M&M's - either pink or blue depending on the sex of the baby. Good luck!
Hi! If you go to my gallery you will see the "booking cake" that I use at my stamping parties/workshops. I think you could easily use the pieces of cake for a baby shower -- just decorate them with stamped baby images -- and fill them with chocolate.
For my niece's baby shower I took votive candles (baby powder scent) and wrapped it in netting and tied a ribbon/bow around it. I added a tag that read:

Here's a candle for you to light
Once the stork has made its flight
With the flicker of the flame
Say a prayer in Baby's name!!

I just had a shower for my friend who calls her baby The Belly Bean, so i did pink jelly beans in little bag and did Thanks from The Belly Bean tags. She had another shower recently and that hostess created favours using mini cinnamon buns with a tag that said Thanks from the Bun in the Oven.
My SIL did favors recently-- I know she found the idea on here. She made long boxes (think a necklace box) and filled with 5 Hershey treasure bars reading 'B-A-B-Y-' (I think the 5th had a little piece of baby confetti glued on...) Anyway, the outside had Baby stamped images on the box, and she tied them with a bow and a safety pin! They were so cute!

your posting reminds me of a friend I spoke with this week, speaking of a baby shower game they participated in; baby diapers were made and crushed up CHOCOLATE CANDY bar, or anything dark, inside diaper and everyone had to guess what the diaper contents were. don't know what they had for favors, but just had to share that. And I don't have a hippo stamp either, you maybe could do a "google search" for clip art of a hippo, if all else fails.

We have often done the little white life saver pacifier. You use two white life savers and pink or blue jelly beans. Royal icing holds it all together. Little tags with the babies name or whatever you want on them look adorable.
