Carol, what kind of puppy? And what was he doing? It's like having a toddler...too quiet means trouble! Still true with my son's 2 yr old Jack Russell!

She was actually sleeping again. Like I said.........a baby. She's 9 weeks old today. It's a wire haired fox terrier. We had another one, Rascal, but she died 2 years ago. This one is Daisy.
Haven't done any stamping today. Trying to update my excel sheet. I have a little problem getting the different dates to hold in my birthday column. Some have years & some don't. Grrrrrrrrrr I think this time it's operator trouble. LOL
Thank you Joan and Carol for the gorgeous cards. Such talent. To come home and find mail is always wonderful, but when it is a handmade card is so much more great. What a great way to end out my wonderful fall weekend at the lake. Have a great day. :-D

I just spent the last hour or so catching up on this thread! :shock: How fun it will be to correspond a little with each other here as well as the cards!
I just mailed cards to the ladies that I've rec'd cards from and will begin to randomly send some to those on the latest list. I am excited to actually get going again with my cardmaking and am sooo happy this group exists!
I'am so sorry I haven't been on lately, I just got over a really bad flu and while I was sick I had to have my bottom teeth pulled and a new denture put in before my knee surgery this Thur. Boy, what a mess. The teeth don't fit so going to have to start all over again. Guess it really won't matter, don't think I'll be feeling to good anyway with both knees operated on.
I just wanted to Thank everyone for all the beautiful cards. I loved all of them and what neat ideas I have gotten from them. I will be a little late getting cards out. They say I will be in the hosptial for about a week so hopefully will get some out after that.
Dolores and Carol I want to Thank you both for taking charge of thinks will I was sick and will I'm having surg. I really apprectate it. I have so miss not being able to see the site everyday. WOW never in my life did I ever think this would ever got this big. What a great bunch of neat ladies we have here. Thank you all for wanting to join.

Well, everyone please say a little prayer for me PLEASE!!!!!! I told my HB I was so scared to have this surg. but I just can't stand the pain anymore and not being able to walk, so here goes. See you all in a week or two.
Good luck with your surgery and my prayers are with you. Not to make it sound any better, my mom had the knee surgery..scared her too..but now, she is able to walk without having the pain there..Lots of prayers coming to you.

I'll be at the Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, CO. Don't know anything about that hosp. Sure hope its a nice one.

I think they just throw those in whenever they feel like it. Just so you know, Lana started this list. Ok, should we thank her or be mad at her. LOL It is an obsession. But we love it.
I'm sure it's a wonderful hospital, Lana. Think good thoughts. Let ALL of those card designs run through your mind. If they tell you to count, count cards. We will sure be thinking of you. What was the date for the surgery?

You should be receiving my card here shortly...I didnt get anything today. But I had cards going out, but our mailman failed to look inside our mailbox to see if I had any going out...(one thing, I have to remember is get one of those red things to let the mailman know I have mail to go) it broke off.
I have football practices with my boys tonight, so I will get to making some more cards tomorrow after my morning workout...or even tonight when they are sleeping.

I'll be praying for you. My mother had a total knee replacement 10 years ago and has been going strong ever since. She was 59 when she had it done. You'll be fine! Sending up lots of prayers.

Thanks Michelle, that's how old I am. They wanted to wait till I was a little older, but I couldn't take anymore pain, so found a doc that would do it now.
I received two cards in the mail today--one from Connie J. and the other from Ria J. Thanks so much, gals! You really made my mailbox smile! DH and I are leaving Wed for a trip to North Carolina. We'll be back Oct. 2 so will be on hiatus for about a week then I'll be back to making/sending cards.

My big Sis Khara emailed me this morning and was so excited to be a part of this group! I thought I better check it out and join in on the fun!! So details please......

Have gotten everything back on to new computer after the other one crashed. If possible can some one send me a copy of the pen pal list, didn't get a chance to print it out before old computer died, you can email it to me or thru the mail, doen't matter, just need a new copy.

I need some suggestions. Long story short my DS's friend (7) was playing with an air pellet gun-didn't realize a pellet was still in it and he shot himself in the eye. As of now he has no sight out of that eye they are trying to at least save the eye structure so he has to lay at a 45 degree angle with the eye covered. Any ideas of something to make/get him to help pass the time while he is laid up? I am drawing a blank?!!? probably because it hits too close to home for me. So I thought maybe somewhere on here would have a suggestion!!

I was up until 1 in the morning at the doggie E.R. My poor pug had eye surgery at the end of July. Everything was fine until last night, his eyes were swellling and turning cloudy. Turns out he has an ulcer on his eye. So poor dog needs lots of TLC and medication every 6 hours.

Lana keeps me updated, so when I get updates and I send out a mass e-mail. Works well and there are about 40 women on the list. This was Lana doesn't have to answer a 100 request for updates.

Hello, I got some really nice cards in the mail this week. I'm a bit behind in replying. I'm still trying to cope with the loss of our good friend and neighbor. I can't beleave it's been almost 2 weeks since she's passed away!
Dolores: thank you so much for the sympathy card. you really made my day!
Lana: I hope all goes well with your surgury and I'm sending prayers your way.
To top it all of, my family all came down with a head cold last week and now I've got it:(
I'm hoping to get back into the groove of things soon.
Thanks Tara and Steff, getting close. I go to a class today to learn what will happen before and after surgery. They say we'll be watching a film on how their going to do it. Not sure I want to see that tho!!! LOL Just put me to sleep and don't wake me till it's over with. How long was your dads recovery Steff and was he in a lot of pain? That's what I worry about, I'm on a high doze of Oxycodone now and its not working. They keep saying that's about the strongest they can give. Iv'e been in awful pain now for 2 years and sure don't want more.
Well, need to get going, have a dentist app this morning to see if their going to give me a new denture.
Dolores - I hope the puppy gets better - poor thing.

I made some cards yesterday so I hope to get some written today and I havea card design planned so I'm hoping to get some of those made today too.

Feeling pretty good today-it's my best day so far, actually. So I'm trying to get caught up on the cards I've received since before my surgery. 7 of them to go! ha ha. Then maybe I'll get some new ones started. So if you wrote to me and haven't heard back, chances are that I'll get a card out to you today or tomorrow.

Dolores-sorry to hear about your dog, hope he is feeling better soon and you are able to get some rest.
