How the heck do you use these alphabits? Do you use them all at once? I really have 2 STUPID questions. Where can I find a list of the colors that SU is retiring? Thanks.
You use the alphabits by stamping the image, and then punching out the letters you need with the 1/4" punch (or something similar). For instance, if you were wanting the word "friends", you would stamp once, then punch out f-r-i-e-n-d and s. If you wanted the word "sister", you'd have to stamp the image twice so you could get two s's.... I hope that makes sense.
I can't help you with the retiring color list though.
I used alphabits for a couple swaps, and there was NO WAY I was going to stamp the whole thing over and over just to punch out a few letters from each! So this is what I did:
I cut strips of the cardstock maybe 1/2 inch wide. then I put the alphabit stamp rubber side up on the table.
I took my black marker and inked just the one letter. Then I took the strip of paper, pointed my pointer finger to the next blank spot on the strip and taped it on the stamp and got the one letter!
It's easier than it sounds. Of course my finger was on the unstamped side of the strip.... Then I markered that letter again and repeated the process untill I had enough of that letter for the swap.
Then I cleaned the stamp and went on to the next letter I needed.
Finally when all letters were done I took my little punch and punched them out! Worked for me! HTH!

you might as well throw it away!

What a cool way to quickly get the letters you want and NOT waste a ton of ink and paper! I'm glad you shared, Judi .
