I have found that I have a few more embossing folders that I am ready to pass on to new homes.
Please PM your name and address to claim. Please 2 per person.
I am going to Show links to cards I have made with them or links to photos of them so you can see the embossing. I don't really know the names of them.
What is everyone working on? I'm sure some of you are probably celebrating the fourth. I'm working on Christmas cards. Looking forward to peace and quiet in a few days! lol....
I'm slowly getting back into cardmaking. My sister came from Upstate NY for my birthday. What in any given year would be one day, turned into three weeks. Had so much fun, though. I have a small box with extra die cut images from previous projects, so I'm creating cards around these images. Clean and simple, but very cute. I hope to have some items to offer soon. Missed you all and right now I'm going through a month's worth of posts just to catch up.

HI Lercy, Hope you are doing well! I am so happy to hear that you had such a great time with your sister! Your cards sound awesome; hope you'll share some pics with us of them. Hope your kitties and turtle are doing alright. Do you still have your turtle?
Jeri, Your cards are so pretty! I need to try more techniques with embossing folders. It is on my list of things to try, but haven't gotten to it yet. Thanks for the inspiration!

Yes! I still have Red (turtle). He'll be 14 in November and is doing well, along with the fur babies. Attached are four cards. The turtle one is made with puffy stickers a friend gave me.

ALL FOLDERS HAVE BEEN TAKEN

adding link below to show one of the folders. (The Happy Birthday is not part of the folder. Center is blank with swirls around it.)
Hello Lercy! Love your cards. Sounds like you have had a fun summer.
I have been cutting up a lot of cardstock into card bases and layers. I also stamped a lot of images (some of them I die cut) and have been coloring images. I have lots to use up and this will make it easier to assemble cards. (Think: card kits)

I know about having too much... especially cardstock. I have been trying to eliminate colored cardstock. I almost got there when a friend showed up to share some of her cardstock purchase, and now I have a small bin of it. I also cut it into card-base size, and like your idea of card kits. Having pre-cut and colored images is extremely helpful at times.

Lercy I LOVE your cards! I am so glad you shared them! They are so stinkin' cute. I love how you used the turtle sticker and the die cuts. Awesome cards!!! I need to use my stickers more. And I am so happy you still have Red, the turtle! Pet your sweet kitties for me! My kitties say "hello".
Arlene, that is an excellent idea about cutting up layers and bases. Card kits are a great idea!

Lercy - your cards are wonderful! You always do such great work Glad you had a nice long fun visit with your sister!
I have the stamps/dies for this year's Christmas card - I do want to sit down and actually make one just to see if I like it or not.....
It's going to be very warm here in San Diego for the next 9 days or so. Good time to stay inside with the A/C on. The "Sounds of the Season" music channel on TV is "Christmas in July" so DS and I have been putting that channel on as much as we can!

I am creating several samples for the upcoming DTGD challenges. If you are a fan club member, mark your calendar for July 22 as that is the beginning date. If you are not a fan club member, check it out. You might enjoy these challenges. There are prizes!! These are good prizes like free memberships, gift certificates to online stores we all know and love, and I can't remember the other prizes. Here is the chat link: Dare to Get Dirty 2023 - Let's Chat! by UnderstandBlue at Splitcoaststampers
I am using several of the PIF's that come into my house. Thank you all who have sent those to me. I did use a llama die on my interactive card I just mailed yesterday to Henry for last week's teapot challenge. Here is the link if you wish to see: MMTPT780 Ship Interactive for Henry by lovinpaper at Splitcoaststampers
The ship moves on the curve we made with the llama die cut. The waves came from a PIF of dies also. It is 95 degrees outside and I always stay inside when it gets this hot and create.
Oh wow Lisa! Love your card! The ship's wheel is so neat, and I like that you made it interactive with the die cut. So glad you are enjoying your PIFs. I've been using mine a lot lately also. Thanks for telling us about the upcoming challenges. I'll have to check them out! I don't know if I'll be able to do them all, but I hope I am able to do some. So nice of you to help them with the challenges! That is so sweet of you!

Thank you! I have a challenge so if you participate in any, try mine. Lydia releases several challenges a day, so choose one and take it slow. Pace yourself is the best tip I keep seeing.
Yes, the wheel does turn with the help of an eyelet.
Oh, that is cool Lisa! Great idea to use an eyelet that way! I'll have to remember to do your challenges for sure! Be sure to give us another reminder when it gets close. (Some of us, mostly me, lol ), have really bad memories!
Both have been spoken for. Thank you! I have these two dies to share. I believe these were shared with me by Lercy.
Pillow Pocket box die
Party Cracker box die
Just let me know what you'd like, either or both. Thanks!

Just curious Arlene...what size do you use for your pre-stamped images? I just started doing the same thing so the voice of experience would be helpful...

Kate, I make mostly A2 cards and I cut the image size at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 or smaller depending on the size of the image and whether or not I use a die to cut it. I usually have an idea as a layout; however, if I am clueless as to a design, I just cut the A2 size and color it. Then when I actually put the card together, I have plenty of room to die cut it or trim down and use it as a layer.
If I know that I want to use DSP or other layers, I may cut the image base to say 3 3/4 x 5 and conserve the cardstock. I save most of my strips of white cardstock scraps and use those for sentiments tags on the front of cards.
I hope that makes sense.

Oh wow Pia! Those are gorgeous!!! Your coloring is terrific! I am so glad you shared them!
Thank you!! I did add a little wink of stella on the wine. I used a light shade for the glasses, but probably should have left it alone. I thought I still had crystal affects for the glass, nope!

Oh, I think they look perfect! The shine on the glasses make it look like it has tiny bubbles in it. I wondered how you did thta. They look spectacular. I wouldnt have changed a thing. Sorry about the typos; I have a cat helping me type! lol...

I know how it goes- recently I discovered I had a bottle of Crystal Effects totally gone solid. I was lucky, I had another brand that was still liquid.
I am glad I am not the only one! I loved that stuff, BUT I refuse to buy anything right now! I am going to ck in Lancaster next week. It is a weekend trip with my bff. It is about 6 hours away. I am working my way through what i have. My crafting friends came over Saturday and asked if I noticed my stash going down, NOPE! And I have been crafting a lot.

As soon as I get some time, I have lots of stuff to post...

Ladies, if you ever want to put a bit of shine on something (like a chamagne glass, etc) put a dab of clear or sparkly nail polish on it. I try to pick these up cheap out of sale bins. Cost way less than card making products that do the same thing, You just have to make sure you let it totally dry.

Welcome Pat! Good to see you here. Hope we'll have some things you'd like later.
Pam, Thanks for the suggestion. So glad you and Louise mentioned that. I have a bunch of polish I need to use. I had bought some at the dollar stores and some at Big Lots on clearance.
I have this to offer if anyone is interested. I can only mail in the U.S.. No Longer Available It is a Wax stamp kit. I used part of the cranberry candle to make some, but the gold and dark green are unused. The metal base that the spoon sits on is dented, but it still works. You just set a tea lite under the base. If you don't have any tealights; I can add a few. You'll also need a silicone mat to pour the wax onto.
