Pia, I got your Annotations stamp set in the mail today. Thank you so much! Love the font and size of the words!
I went and signed up for the free organizational summit also. Thanks for the info and the link!
I've been enjoying participating in the VSN challenges. I've used many of the supplies that you all have shared with me. I didn't list who gave me what on the posts, as I was afraid I'd forget something. I didn't used to label on the supply who sent it to me, so I have some from the past, that I cannot remember who gave them to me. Anyway, I would not want to overlook anyone.
Thank you to all of you who have shared with me! You have helped my mojo and inspired me to create more cards.

**I'm a bit leary of signing up--it says FREE, but they're offering a lot of hours--anyone used this link before and not gotten scammed???
Deb, Justine Hovey and Laurel Beard are the masterminds behind this. Each presenter has a video on their channel sharing links to register. Ardyth is presenting. You can go to any of their websites and find the link. I think you can easily go to our gallery and find Ardyth. She always creates for the featured stamper, so if nothing else, go there and find her cards.
I will not register and participate. I do not know that they will flood your email, but past free presentations like this have, so I choose to let it go. I see a lot of organization tips on YouTube videos and here in the forum.
Pia- the bathroom humor stamps came today. I'm still chuckling. Thank you! (I'm pretty sure at least one of these will be featured on DH's next card from me!)
I kept a bunch! My brother just had a colonoscopy, his card featured a toilet bowl!

Hi all. I have stash that I want to move along to loving homes. How does this work? I have never posted on this forum. Do I offer the items and pay for the shipping?

Yes. You post photos of your product you are offering. You let people know where you will ship, US only or international. Then people will contact you with their interest. Most people use a first come first served, but you can do what you like. One has had people ask for their preference and had a select day she where she chose who would receive her items. You can be contacted here or with a PM.

Post 1:
Here is the new Pay It Forward Thread for 2023. Here are the rules, as they have always been in the past. If you see something you like, you can claim it based on the guidelines of the person offering the item(s) (usually first come-first serve basis). Some time in the future, it is expected that you will offer something to Pay-It-Forward. You don't have to wait until you offer something before you claim something else, but we try not to do that too much, so that everyone gets a chance. The person sending the PIF pays the shipping. I usually post where I am willing to ship, to cut down on confusion.
(You don't necessarily have to post photos- you can post links to items online.)
Hello, everyone. Been working on cards, concentrating on using up my supplies -- especially paper. An old friend gave me loads of cardstock and designer paper. Took a while to go through it all, but I pulled the colors and patterns that attracted me, and donated the rest. I've already used up all the designer paper and half the cardstock, so I'm feeling pretty good. I have come across items I have duplicates of, or have used enough to where they are ready for a new home. If anything interests you, PM me and I'll pick up the shipping. Thank you.
All Items Spoken For -- Thank you!

If it's anything like DTGD, that's a great feat. DTGD was the most exhausting week I've spent in a long time. I didn't even do them all. 👏🏼 👏🏼👏🏼 hoptownracer1! 😊
I clicked your link, smadson, and it's just a horror of incomprehensible entries and weird times to me 🤣 Ah, well, saved myself some pressure I dare say!

It is not has hard as people think. There are steps you can do ahead of time or complete without your timer on. I cut white card bases ahead of time. I use pre-colored images or backgrounds laying around. I use patterned paper a lot. The preparation time does not count. Basically, I set a timer on my phone for 1 hour and pause it if I have to keep getting up looking for something or if I need a break. I have been playing along with VSN for maybe 4 years now, but not every time. This was my second time to hostess, which is enjoyable. We did not have a mini this time, so there were only 14 challenges whereas with the mini, it would be 17. There are two weeks after the challenges go live to complete them. Today is the last day to post any challenges. Try one! There are prizes.
That sounds like a job - going to work not a hobby. After working since I was 15, I am happy not having the stress. I like making cards at my leisure and enjoying the process. Now I know why I have never joined any challenges as I would not be able to keep up.
Congratulations Chris!

I've been clearing out some of my craft supplies, and I've realized that I don't use a lot of ribbon, yet I have a lot of it. Here is the first batch of ribbon that needs a new home. I would prefer to send it all to one person. The case is not included, and I can ship only within the continental U.S.
I recognise several identical rolls of ribbon I bought as well that I never used either (the striped ribbed ones). Lol! Here's a tip: take the ribbon off the rolls and it'll all fit in an envelope.
I admire those who participate in challenges. Personally haven't joined any because my little grey cells stall when I'm given guidelines. I do much better when there are no expectations. It wasn't like that when I was employed, but creativity is a whole different game.

Some of my best cards are made for the challenges. They get the juices going! Make you use some of that stash! For example, todays, Techniques challenge is to use ribbon! LOL
Chris,
That is awesome! I love the challenges, I just haven't had the time lately. I do go back and look at them. I make a lot of cards and don't always post.
Have a great week all! The weather in Boston is perfect right now.

That embossed ribbon technique is extremely effective. I just gave away about $100 worth of ribbon to a friend's church fair, but I'll look through what's left and try this. You know I love Natasha Foote, lol. Anyone in her FB group?

I did the ribbon challenge. So much fun, and now I have a great birthday card to put in the mail tomorrow! Here it is if you want to see it. I am one who loves challenges and think they are great inspiration. I need something to motivate me. LOL TLC946 Birthday Ribbon sm by smadson at Splitcoaststampers
Thank you all so much! I did enjoy the challenges! I used quite a few PIF items on my cards also. Love the ribbon cards; so creative!!!
Sharon, Your ribbon card is gorgeous! I plan on posting to all of the card entries; just haven't been able to get to all of them yet.
Thanks Lisa for telling us about the challenge!

Postage is going up again on July 9, 2023. A regular stamp is going from 63 cents to 66 cents.
I can't believe it!! Seems like it just went up. I'm just thankful that we don't still have our business, where we had to send out a LOT of mail.
