Shelly, your cards are gorgeous. I had no idea candy comes in such beautiful wrappers! WOW! I need to eat more chocolate. ;)
I win! I win! Stacy - I'm so glad my challenge was the one you chose to link your awesome card to. Thanks! That painted cardboard looks great - even if you did go to the dumpster to get it.
Aloha Ms Jeanette... love love your challenge got me to turn a oldie but goodie bag topper into a new treasure as well as saved old price tags from the landfill. Mahalo much here is mine...
This is an awesome challenge. Always fun to see what a person can make from stuff stashed thinking "I can use that someday"! I used onion bag mesh and corrugated paper from a box of Cheryl's cookies from last Christmas. (If you've never had Cheryl's cookies, you really ought to try them!)
Imke, your card is awesome! (I saw it and fell in love with the spray coming out of the bottle).
Jen, THANK YOU... I'm am honored... and was so surprised! Your card is adorable...love the mermaid and that net from "who knows what package?" ;)
Hawaiian (I'm sorry, but I don't know your name though I have enjoyed chatting with you in the chat thread)... your card made me smile. Love that you used the sparkly relief from cutting the leaves for the luminary on this card... and that green scarecrow is such fun!
Okay... who has Cheryl's cookies to share? I've never heard of them, but Gwen says we need to try them. AND if her card is any indication of how good they are, then they are AMAZING!
Catherine, your card is so pretty! I love pinecones; always have. My mom even says I used to pick them up as a toddler and try to take them home with me.
Thanks so much Jeanette for the wonderful challenge and the giving of your time and talent to bring us a fun and creative challenge. You're so appreciated.
I have been checking out the cards this morning and WOW! I'm impressed with the wide variety of trash I'm seeing on this site. ;)
Angie, I totally get it that you saved that gift wrap. It looks great on your card!
Sharon, how awesome to think to put a real tea bag on a card! WOW! (Is the tea still in it? If so, I'm sure it smells good, too.)
Pansy, your link didn't work, but I snooped around your gallery and found your card. You really used a piece of mesh from your hamper. How fun is that!?!? And that's just one of the many things you recycled on your card.
Joyce Ann, you have a good eye for seeing things that can be reused. That little script strip is great.
Amy, did I read your post right - that is a piece of tin that you embossed? WOW! That is awesome. And the fun burlap "Card Again" is a hoot!
Sally... awwww you made me blush. Thanks for your sweet words. Your coloring book page background was a great addition to your bold and beautiful card!
Linda, I love buttons and save them, too... so I think they were a perfect addition to your card! (I actually have a tin of special buttons that my grandmother took off of clothes she was tossing through the years.)
Thank you ladies for going From Trash to Treasure with me!
Dorothy, I love your card... I've been saving Folger's coffee seals for a long time and now I see I need to start using them. I love the shine it adds to your card.
Fun challenge! I save things all the time, but sometimes need a nudge to use something recycled. Combined mine with a recent Featured Stamper challenge honoring Jeanette herself.
Here is my Halloween card Halloween Glitz!, which uses a saved piece of the glitzy gold and black striped gift wrap from a Father's Day present for my husband...it was too pretty to throw away!
