Oh an did anyone mention that Splitcoast is extremely addictive? You will sit down with your morning coffee (Mountain Dew here) with the best intentions of doing house work as soon as you check in on a thread or see a couple galleries, only to realize HOURS later you need to start supper
Um....I forgot that part....heehee....see I'm still in denial.....LOL!!!
Geesh where are my manners? Welcome to SCS, seriously, like they've all said already this is an amazing place to visit, learn, make friends, be WOW'ed, giggle, joke, share and maybe even shed tears as we become family!

I am so glad that I am not the only one that loses large blocks of time on SCS when I really DO INTEND on vacuuming and the like!!!
Do we have to make all the cards according to month challenge?? or can we we just post what ever we made? Just asking as I never been good in stick to the rule person , I always create according to my ...... mood, or my theme of a day ..... or just because papers looks good together ;)
No, you don' have to follow the challenges....they are just to give us some inspiration. You can get your inspiration anywhere, and it sounds like you are doing fine that way. Sometimes when I have a creating block, it helps to have a challenge to aim for.

What Ina said.....but girl I was cracking up...you should see some of my attempts at a sketch challenge.....LOL!!! I'm terrible at following directions cuz I get frustrated and then just make up my own rules....it's ok here though....cuz that's how we roll....
And why aren't your cards done? LOL
I tried hard to make that sound like my best Scolding teacher!
Oh I'd make a horrible enforcer... I'm cracking up the whole time!
So back to normal me... You can do it, come on, coupe more weeks and you can make it!
Well, you see.... I have been horrible at putting stuff away when I came home from crops and retreats it got so bad that I could not find anything and suddenly nothing had a home or lived in its home in my craft room any more. It was easier to go quilt than to find anything in my craft room. A girlfriend came over the day after Thanksgiving and helped me clear a path and got me started reorganizing. I found 19 half finished Christmas cards and got them finished yesterday! And I found my perpetual calendar so I can update it and have it handy to know what I need to the AOCC.
wow, you guys are really on the ball!! 2013 up and ready to go. I'm impressed. I definitely want to play along this coming year. I love getting a head start on my Christmas cards. Makes the season much less stressful, plus I just love to create Christmas cards. :-)
So sign me up for another 5 a month!
And thank you so much for organizing this and keeping it going! I am grateful.
Definitely sign me up again this year, 10 cards per month, even though I completely fell by the wayside by April of 2012 for my 2012 cards and only starting making them again in October....and now in December!
I did get my 4 cards per month done but didn't get them uploaded. I am tickled pink (well, red) that I had too many. It sure does take the yug outta sending cards. haha Now its fun and I look forward to sending them.
Morning! I have a question....If we have some random Christmas cards we are making but they don't follow the challenge....do we post them anyway..or do we need to keep to the challenge?
Well now I'm confused Debbie, are you saying that, as Angie thought, that the challenges are for inspiration for our monthly cards, not an extra as I thought.?

correct...the challenges are for inspiration...you can use them or not...and if you do make a special extra one---please post so we can all ooooh and aaahhh over it....
Please add my name for 4 per month. I hope to make more so that I have them available for a couple of craft fairs in October and November. This is my first time to sign up for Christmas.
I would like to join in this challenge as I always make at least 50 Christmas cards after I make all the cards for the HYCCT each year. Val (Greywolf) suggested that I give this a shot. Just don't know how to start. I would like to make 10 a month if that counts.
welcome newbies....Connie....how ambitious...you are a card making machine....of course 10 counts....heck 1 counts here if that is what you need....hope to see some useage of your new toys too....

Awww Thanks Sheri. I'm looking forward to it. I'll be sure to be using my new toys because I got Christmas ornament dies.
I'm signing up for my 4th year. The first year I wasn't too good about getting all the months completed but then the 2nd year I completed all 10 cards per month and this year I completed 8 cards per month for the full 11 months. This has been a real blessing as I enjoy working on Christmas cards. Really have enjoyed having so many different designs for the year. Thank you!
Please put me down for 8 cards per month.

Hi!
I joined last year and didn't do so well. I found my box about 3 weeks ago and it had 18 complete and about 15 half done. I know that if I hadn't participated at all, by November I would have had none done! So sign me up again please and I hope to do better this year. I will do 4 a month; same as last year.

Could you please sign me up for 3 a month? I'm not good at posting what I've done, but it should at least help with the December rush next year. Also...what a wonderful way to keep the spirit of Christmas in our hearts throughout the entire year.
I'm brand new here so I'm hoping I can join the challenge. What a great idea! Here it is December 6th and I haven't even started my cards for this year. spreading it out over the months will make this time of year so much less stressful. I guess the first think I have to do is set up a gallery and then I have to figure out how to post pictures. Oh well, at least I have to the end of January for that. I'm really looking forward to this!!!

Welcome Jean! It really is very helpful to spur us on when we have a goal each month. Also, there is usually lots of inspiration to be found in the cards of our fellow stampers!

I can always use inspiration. I just realized I didn't say how many cards I will be doing a month. I'll commit to 3 per month. I need a few more than 33 cards but I know I will be seeing some great ideas at the end that I will "need" to make too!
welcome Jean...this is a fun group and it is so much nicer to spread it out over the year than cramming it all in at last minute...and yes there is plenty of inspiration here too...can't wait to see your gallery....
Welcome to SCS, Jean. And welcome to our little group. Without this challenge, I'd be buying my Christmas cards. It's been real nice having them done. Now if I just sit down and get them ready to mail. December is flying by too quickly.
Well, I just addressed all of my cards and am a few short, so I need to do 10/month to make sure I have enough.
Theme: I did snowman in 2011 and ornaments in 2012. I can't decide between deer (like Dasher) for the year, or trees. I'll try to find time to play with both this month and see which speaks to me.

No blog for me. My gallery chronicles my card-making successes and mishaps.
Tomorrow all my cards go out with the SPECIAL one day cancellation celebrating the Rudolph Country Christmas Day! Thanks to this challenge - all cards are made and done. Thanks to Vikki jo for hosting and pushing us on.
