I haven't made a single card since January 21, and that was a birthday card for a 3yo. Yesterday and today I made a card for a lady who is 100 on Saturday, plus one for a 50-something friend. Tomorrow it's one for an 80-something man....and THEN maybe I can make my 6 Christmas cards for March! Forget the ones I didn't do in February, although I did start the year with 11 so it's not quite as bad as it feels. Maybe next month will be better???

Don't despair, Fiona! Catch up if you can, or just pick up from today. This is supposed to be fun, not stressful. I have not made my Feb. or March Christmas cards yet either. I'll get a splurge of energy one of these days and make both sets. Hopefully before April! I'm going to a birthday party for a 90 y/o friend tomorrow. She gets around pretty well and just got her driver's license renewed!
Fiona don't give up! I haven't made my Christmas cards for any of the months yet, but I know sooner or later I will feel crafty and sit down and make a couple of months worth at one time. When you get time to do them, start with the month you are in and if you have time go back and do the others, otherwise don't worry about it. Any cards you get made will put you ahead in December and that is the point. You aren't supposed to stress over this. It is supposed to be fun!
Fiona, just like Angie said, any you have done ahead of December is great! And it istrue, all at once you get a spurt of energy. I am behind for March on Christmas cards and Scrapbook pages for my goals. And I know how you feel, behind. But really we are ahead, because we are getting something done!
Fiona, the first year I didn't get past April, I thought I had failed but as Sharon says its supposed to be fun, a way of getting cards done ahead of time so any you manage to make will be a bonus come December.
Well, Fiona; at least you are ahead 11. That's better than if you hadn't even started...You'll find time to get going again...don't beat yourself up over it....this nurse is off duty!!
O boy I've been feeling sooooo guilty after saying that one of the tricks is to not get behind  , I haven't done February's or March's cards yet, too caught up with VSN's (my addiction) but I do have the ideas and even went as far as getting the stamps out. I was going to incorporate one or two of the challenges with the CCC challenge but it just didn't work out. :
The end of this week is Easter and I have three days off work over the break so hopefully this means some me time which means apart from family lunches playing in my craft room. :-D
You can keep the snow. I'm surprised we haven't had any big storms. It's real cold first thing in the morning, then warms up to the mid 40s and sunshine.

no stress remember, fun happy relaxing
I need a sketch or color challenge to get my mojo waken up
I am hoping to be able to stay caught up, but I might not have internet until May or June. I am having issues justifying paying for this when I can't comment in galleries most days, post on here or FB, blog ..and oh the time outs and refreshing while doing an SU order. grrr
No slacking off if I am gone now girls! LOL
I know $40 for unlimited is not crazy but I get so annoyed when nothing will work. I go a whole with not a single page opening
I gave up on my face book games, oh how I miss Chefville
Susan thats exactly what i will doing tomorrow night, we have a gala evening and we are staying at a hotel overlooking the beach so I will having a long soak in the bath, with loads of Chanel bubbles, my DS1 always buys it for me for my birthday, not sure it will inspire me but it will be sooooooo nice.
Oh we had a great two days, we had lovely rooms with sea views, met up with our friends from England and caught up with all the news.
Sorry to hear your Internet is so bad, our son in San Francisco has Internet problems too, he has even moved the connector box but we still have problems when we FaceTime sometimes. Hope you manage to stay connected as we will miss you.
H all!
Vikkijo - you mentioned somewhere that you hadn't gotten any cards made this year yet. That's me too. I mean I have made cards, just not Christmas cards. I have busy with other things. For one, I am learning how to quilt. Yes, it's true! The strange thing is that I never ever had any desire to quilt. Then last August I made two aprons for my mom and my self out of International Harvester fabric for the threshing show in Rollag, MN. I hadn't sewn in years and I found out it was kind of fun. I happen to look at some quilting books at the library I work at and it took off from there. I am close to done with my first quilt which is a pink and brown baby quilt. And you know what? I think card making helped me with picking out the colors because I am used to working with them.

Good for you Roxanne....I love to sew, it is a great creative outlet and truthfully it is a stress reliever for me. I quilt as well but right now am making shirts for 2 grown nephews to use up pile of fabric left when kicked the idiot BF out couple yrs ago. yep, the fabric still sits there...but not for much longer. glad you have found the enjoyment again...
Vicki....I wish we could come up with more reliable internet for those who want to live out of bounds. I'm working towards that myself and the internet issue isn't one I'm looking forward to...hope it gets better
I would like to sign up for this, this year - tried last year but didn't get any done except at very last minute! I'll only put myself up to do 2 a month at the moment.
Anne
Roxanne I love to quilt! But be careful! Buy fabric can be just as addicting as buying pretty paper. ;)
Vikki I hear ya on the internet. I have pretty decent service in town, but my BF lives in the boonies. He doesn't own a computer and when we looked in to getting internet out there so I could use my laptop it was way too much to justify for no more than I would use it there. And my sis has the same service he would have to get and their customer service is nonexsistant.
well I lasted ummm a bit over 2 weeks with no internet here at home.
Used it at my sisters....missed it too much! LOL
I checked into Dish for internet and it is $50 a month and not unlimited.
I tested myself for one day. Posting to my blog, checking the galleries listed on 1 page in each thread I follow, keeping up with SU updates
checking both of our bank accounts, logging into our bills we pay online, and checking email.
No face book, no skyping (can't with the virgin mobile anyhow)
then do that all once a week I'd go over the allotted amount for the month.
so i guess I throw in the towel and pay the $40 a month for this thing and suck it up!
On a cheery note..I've been making cards for samples of products.
I kinda have sneak peeks of next catty's items so I am trying to get some cards to show off.
I really like the Spring Bundle (punch and stamp set) I made a set of cards for each stamp
Not a single Christmas card though. I know shame shame!
I helped my mother and sister move..not that I could do much...but tell everyone to MOVE IT MOVE IT MOVE IT
LOL they kept taking breaks every 20 minutes, oh not happening. what they planned to take 4 days, took 1+ a few hours into the second.
Their idea of a truck load...pppiiiishhh
LOL
I tried to so hard to work in the craft room at the new place.....I can't lift more then 15 pounds and they made the boxes way too heavy for me

Vikki....good to hear from you....and sounds like your mom and sister needed you around. why on earth would you want to draw out the torture of moving over 4 days?...silly girls...teehee....hope the new internet program is more reliable for you
I have to count cards tonight.. because, I have lost track of where I am now that I was so far behind so... I did one big all the rest of what's been done post on the blog this morning and am working on getting things into the gallery in groups of 5 so will link to all the monthly threads after I get all the photos in...
Okay tonight I counted cards as I put away the ones from this weekend... and I have 37 cards done all together for Christmas already... ( I started making them in December and never claimed those ones for this year)
I had signed up for 6 a month, and I will probably keep plugging away at that just for extra's for the booth or to donate. but, if it comes to a no desire to make anymore point I may stop until after school starts again in the fall. ( I know July and August I will not hardly go upstairs, too hot and too much stuff to do around here ) so, hopefully I can get the rest of the months done soon.
Stacy, your blog looks great with all those Christmas cards! I didn't get my April cards done in April, so I'm one month behind. However, I got them made yesterday, but can't post them yet since they are for a future challenge. ;)
So I've got a whole month to do the May cards. I don't know how people get their cards done ahead of time. I'm late on most of the challenges that I play in.
Me too Val....I am always late with the challenges. I won't be doing any for the next two weeks as I am just down I-35 from you at the moment, visiting my grandsons! Brr, cold today.....only 55 degrees as compared to back home, way up north in Canada, where it is sunny and 72 degrees! Talk about bad timing!
I have lapsed in this Christmas card challenge, but I still have enough cards left for this coming Christmas, so I'm o.k.

I used to use the featured stamper challenge to get part of my Christmas cards done I should probably go back to that method because, its only one a week.
grr I can not comment in galleries, it just sits there loading..that little circle spins forever!
I took the laptop to the laundry mat (free wi fi) the guy sitting next to me was on just fine (and i've used it before) but now it says I was restricted.
Wonder if its like when iI got banned from here. A mix up with my IP address. I could get on from work or my sisters but not from my own computer at home. How annoying!
Well Work Comp has released me to return to work. I did a good job search and found one at the Casino..sounded great until last night..one of the ladies mentioned there are times she only gets in 10 hours in a week (OMG there is no way I could [ay my mortgage that way)
I am going to check into that today with my supervisor, I am hoping that this lady just doesn't take hours or takes lots of early outs
Well Merry Christmas Ladies!
I am going to ask if I can bring my laptop to work for breaks???? others play on their phones and tablets but they are small handheld things. But free wifi..I will ask tonight I work 2-10 pm
Congratulations Vikkijo on getting back to work! I do hope you will be able to get enough hours at this job.
I have experienced that problem with the little circle spinning forever. It seems like it happens during very busy times, like Saturday night and Sunday. It can be very frustrating.
I'm off to upload my May cards. The You Can Do It challenge gave me the push I needed.

I just went to take a look on the first page...there is a July challenge for the Christmas cards. Here it is:
July will be presented by Sharon aka smadson, she has challenged us to make a Christmas Card using Red, White and Blue
Hope this helps you out.....
Since I'm so far behind...I was checking out the challenges for some inspiration. Got a few ideas...now to get to it! LOL
