Well your not going to believe this ladies, but after years of playing this challenge I am now going to withdraw for next year. You see, every year I make "Long" Christmas Cards (4 x so I can fit a Christmas Letter and photo card inside. Well, this year after I made 60 Christmas Cards all year long, I ordered my photo card in the wrong size: 5 x 7. So now they won't fit inside my Christmas Cards! Obviously I spent a lot of money on them, so I have to use them. I will save the Christmas Cards I made this year for next year. Now I'm wondering do I just send the photo cards out as my Christmas Cards or should I rush like a mad woman to make 60 new Christmas Cards? Ugh! So frustrating!
Oh no! I'd say on the bright side, you have cards all done for 2016
I also want to purchase a book of stamps per month so I don't have to pay so much for sending those cards out at Christmas!
If we can purchase Christmas stamps online at USPS.com??????
awesome thought to buy ahead that's for sure. Or even check with small town post offices, they might still have them in inventory with them now being FOREVER prices
Last year I did not keep up with my monthly quota & was really scrambling here at the end. 😞 So I definitely am joining again. I want to do a card each week so I guess that is 4 a month. If you notice I'm not playing along, please send a message & remind me to get with the program!! Thanks!!
Thank you Vickie Jo for leading for so many years. I know it's a bit of work. Thanks Ann for taking over. Looking forward to the monthly challenges!
Posted this on the January post, Realized I should have posted it here. Oh, the convenience of copy and paste!
Decided to try this again this year. Last year I was diagnosed with cancer and broke my shoulder. Needless to say, I did not get any cards done! It just about killed me not to send handcrafted cards. Hopefully, this year will go better! I'm going to try for four a month.
Many thanks to vikkijo!! Thanks Ann for organising things 😀
Love this challenge really makes Christmas cards fun and easy to have plenty at the right thi e. I'm aiming for 8 per month again as this was just about perfect this for 2015
oh oh someone had a great idea to book in there calendar something to remind them to do Christmas cards each month...they had a great name for it...I already switch my calendars and can't remember what she called it...anyone remember?
Vikkijo- thank you so much for hostessing this challenge all of these years!! Ann, thank you so much for picking up the reins..we are so encouraged by this challenge!!
I will commit to 4 per month with an additional few sets of multiples for a total needed of at least 100 per year (I have a Ladies Bible Study Group, Small Group and Awana Group that all need a minimum of 14 each- they are not included in the 4 per month :-)) I may make more that 4 designs per month but do not want to commit at this point- lol!!
I tend to make individual designs except for the three multiple group designs since I find making multiples is a bit tedious (but my MISTI makes it so much easier now) :-)
Hugs and Happy New Year to all of you!

I seem to remember Kelly doing something with her Christmas cards on the 25th of each month. Easy to remember as Christmas is the 25th.
Ann, do you think next year we should set up a thread for December since lots of us are still posting cards? I just keep adding to November but it might be nice to have a December thread - we wouldn't need a theme - just "anything goes for last minute cards" or something like that?
I think that is a great idea!!
Will get on it!
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
I hosted all of my families for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and then again on New Years Day! Hence not posting for a bit! Wow, lots of work but now to get focused!
I am currently working on removing the stamps from all of my small wooden blocks. Has taken a long time but I am loving the extra room it is giving me in my office/craft room.
I have found that placing them in the freezer works the best for a cleaner removal.

Hi everyone and a very happy new year to one and all ....
Firstly my thanks to you Vikki Jo for all your hard work with this challenge over the past few years .... magnificent job
However, while I only uploaded (and left comments) till about May/June last year I did make all my cards!!
So with that said count me in for 10 a month again and fingers crossed I will follow through and manage to upload and comment the whole year this time ;-)
Thank you Ann for taking over the hostess reins from VikkiJo - great start with all the monthly themes (not that I am good at sticking to themes  but I do try)
Okay, I promised myself I would join again this year. I took a year break and it was HORRIBLE!! I had nothing ready when December came around. 4 per month, please.

Same with me. I took a break for the year, too. Same thing, making them at the end. No fun!
Okay.. so in the midst of my post, my cursor jumped (silly Toshiba!), SCS processed where I was but it didn't show. so here I go again...
I HATED how I was unprepared for Christmas 2015. I know this system works but I just did not have space to create last year. This year is different. I have most everything put away, and my workspace is cleared. I will work on my Christmas cards on the 25th of each month. I already have a big Christmas sticker on the 25th of each month in my dayplanner. There's no room to put anything else on that date. :-D

I try an combine some of the Christmas cards with the weekly challenges here at SCS, then I stay on track!!
I do the same - and not just the SCS challenges but some of the ones out in blogland like Merry Monday, 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, etc. - the challenges keep me interested which helps me stay on track with getting my quota done.

Lynn was asking about this system a while back. She couldn't remember but knew someone marked a certain day each month to work on Christmas cards. Christmas cards are my favorite to maake . I already have 17 for January. Just made another....18. I didn't photograph them all, but I'm also trying to do the insides as I go. That was my difficulty this year. So many had to be stamped inside yet.
Kathy,
I know what you mean about the insides of the cards! I do that so often that I get a card done and never do the inside and then when I need it I have to go back and finish it.
That's my crafting New Year's resolution to do the inside of all my cards right away with at least something even if it is just a blank sheet of card stock!
ok I am getting there...it's still January right???? I have a santa hat on the 25th of the month on my planner...on the 3rd I have a cupcake to remember to do birthday cards...now all I have to do...is actually do them...I have 1 square foot of space on my desk right now

Oh yes, it's January! Just the beginning of the cold and snow!
Nice work marking off the days on your calendar!!
My table is still full of stamps to be put away after all the removal from the blocks! Still trying to decide if I want to remove the really large ones. They would take up an entire cd case!
Ann and Kathy, I'm so with you two on the finishing of the inside! You've inspired me to make it one of my New Year's resolutions too!
Thanks for bringing this up to reinforce it in my mind!

I am so with you ladies on this ... I always start off OK but slack off as the months go by!!
So new year new start ... finish insides as I go YES!!!!!!
Thanks Ann for taking over, and thanks Vikki for all your work.
I am running a little behind this year getting signed up but I want to join the
CCC2016 for 5 cards a month. I've already looked at some of the monthly themes and WOW you ladies are getting creative.
Count me in for the Christmas card challenge. I think 3 cards each month should do it. Still have leftovers from the last few years. Thx Ann for organizing this! And I will try to do the insides as well this year.
Kathy
