Good afternoon ladies, Sorry for being MIA, as many of you know I am very ill. I started my blog to post only 2 times a week, I know how hectic things can get especially in the Summer, who wants to be couped up in a house when there is sunshine and flower's to feel and smell..Personally I feel the group challenges here are way to many, why cant we have them once a month? I notice every one has other challenges they do, I think that is why there is such a big drop out rate on these blog groups, people feel they can not keep up.. It is easier to keep up visiting every one and commenting then it is to keep up with work-family & challenges.
Just my thoughts. Every one have a great day,.

We haven't had full participation on these challenges. If each week only one or two people skipped out, it would be okay. But it seems that only a few accomplish the challenges. (Correct me if I'm wrong!) As a hostess, does it bother you if there is only 6 -8 players? We can talk about it and see what everyone thinks. (Keep in mind that it is a bit of work to redo the master list.) A lot of us like to do challenges. If everyone in the group commented on a card, that would be 14 comments. You might get more if you submitted it somewhere else. You can always double up on challenges with another blog. And I think it's fun to have the prize given away amongst ourselves!
I personally don't want anyone to feel pressured to be a part of the challenges. If you want to play and are able, then play. If not, don't. No one should feel guilty or that an apology is needed about having to pass on a challenge or two (or all of them, for that matter).
As the hostess, I would not be offended with only a few players. It would be nice if each member viewed the entries and voted, but again not required, in my opinion.
If the blog group becomes drudgery instead of fun, then we are defeating its purpose.
Thanks Lynn and Dawn....The "Master List" will become the "Monkey on my Back" if I have to change it one more time!!!!
Participate...don't participate in the challenges...."NO WORRIES, NO DRAMA!!!" but in my opinion to be part of our group you must comment! Commenting shows support and that is what are group is about! SUPPORTING each other!
Hopefully between Dawn, Lynn and my comments here we can come to an agreement: You don't have to participate in all the challenges (it would be nice to participate in a couple) but you must comment! With that said, lets move on!!!!
So, what is the most "stand out" event you have done this summer (so far)?
Mine, is when my little man caught a 5-6 lb. bass by himself in FL. It was so cute to watch him kind of struggle to reel it in! Loved it!!!!
Have a good day!!! Stay cool!!! I will be at the pool....again!!!
I'm sorry I haven't been around. I've been under the weather for the past 2 weeks. The antibiotic the doctor gave me made me sick. I'm feeling better for the first time today. My house is a wreck. So I'm off to clean up around here and work on getting my challenge ready for next week. Hopefully, I'll get to everyone's blogs tonight or early tomorrow. I know I've missed out on some great creativity. Take care ladies! I've missed you.
ooh, I hope you got a lot of pictures, Jenn! Was he just the proudest?? I can tell that you are.
Mostly, we've been at the pool. OUr sub has a pool so it is close and easy. But we just got back from vacation so I am catching up on stamping and little things. Just relaxing. DH and I have different ideas of what a "vacation" is! haha.
Right now, my oldest is organizing all my paper bits by color family! haha. He's a bit in the dog ohouse right now. This at least gets him out of his room! haha
Hi everyone...the challenges aren't compulsary so nobody should feel bad or pressured if they don't participate. Personally I love challenges so I enjoy doing them. When I hosted in June I had about 7 people participate and it didn't bother me that not everyone joined in...I would have been happy for one person to do the challenge! Jenn, thanks for compiling the challenge list for us.
As far as a "stand out event" this summer it would have to be either taking my kids to Six Flags in Upstate New York by Lake George or buying myself a bike which I haven't ridden in over 15 years and boy does my bottom hurt! It hurts to sit down and make cards! Hopefully it will feel a little better tomorrow!
Stay cool everyone and keep those creative juices flowing!
Hi Everyone: I too, don't think we need to be pressured to participate in the challenges. I like belonging to a group of women that share their hopes, fears and dream and yes, we are all here to support each other. Yes, commenting is important as that indicates you want to belong and from my perspective I love to visit everyone's blog and see what they have been up too and the crafts that they have been working on and reading the comments that you all leave on my blog. Summer is a time for being laid back and just enjoying the no routine part.
So, let's just move on, participating in challenges where we can and doing the things we love to do.
I am having quality time with my daughter on Saturday as we are off to get pedicures. We don't get to spend much one on one time, so I am looking forward to it.
Dawn,
I've been stamping up a storm all summer, because once school starts up again next month I'll mainly be stamping only on the weekends. So I am excited to say so far I have cards scheduled to post through the first week in August!
Paige-you have been stamping up a storm girl! I am so jealous! Summer with the kids get crazier every year
Most memorable moments of the summer are so many - its hard to choose :0) I would degfinately say that the 4 day work week has let me spend some great times with the kids that I would normally never get! I am exhausted - nbut we are really having fun this summer!
I am so gratefrul for all of you! I feel a little more "normal" when I read how crazy your summers are too!
I agree with what everyone has said about the challenges. They should not be compulsary, just a bit of added fun for the group.
James and I both work in a clothes shop, usually on different hours to each other, so it's not often we get a full day together, so when we do we try to enjoy it. So, my most memorable moments of the summer have been the day we had in York and last Sunday in Bridlington.
Just to let everyone know I am going to Ireland again from the 19th-26th, so I will not be able to comment, but I am hoping to have something ready to post for each day I am away.

I am finally home from my 1160 mile trip to the Wisconsin Dells...Herrin IL...Nashville TN...back to Herrin IL...and then home. I had my laptop with, but found myself relaxing more than anything.
Our next trip isn't until DisneyWorld in December but I can plan that in my sleep...so that will not hinder me too much, I can forage on and craft uninterupted...
I have to admit, I am the scofflaw not participating in the recent challenges, I had been pulled away into a few different directions. I never know what I am doing when I go to work and I dabble in product development...hopefully when the products reach our company website I could share with you what had been taking up a majority if not all my available time. I was responsible for a website, facebook fan pages, blog creation, etc...I hope to be more diligent in participating in the challenges, they did sharpen me when I did participate. I however, am NOT offended when someone does not participate in a challenge I host.
I will be at CHA on Saturday the 31st...time is yet TBA. I wanted to go on Friday for fear that all the Papertrey Ink stamps I want will be sold out on Saturday, but I cannot get off work again after being gone a whole week. I was stupid to read all the sets they are bringing...I may have to live in a home built out of their stamps...so I am coming up with stamp combinations to buy with the limited funds I am bringing.
If any are going to CHA, PM me and we can come up with a meeting place.
And for all you CHA attendies...I will send out my wish list! This is me living in no-craft show land being jealous! Have Fun!!!
I know right? Papertrey Ink released the list of stamp sets they are bringing along with everyhting else they carry...I am trying to figure out if I can make more money selling blood...or begging my husband for one last blow-out shopping trip... I have been bringing my lunch to work everyday to try to make a difference...I draw the line at my Dunkin Donuts large iced coffee every other day.
I just posted my Christmas in July card on Monica's site. Don't know if the link worked or not. I also sent as an attachment in an email. This was a great challenge, however, I am a little partial to Christmas.
So, I am missing 3 questionaires. And about 3 weeks of waiting...sorry. (My email has been dumping things into spam when they weren't spam...just found out.)Any ways, I PMed the 3 people who I don't have the info for...asking them to resend. And then I"ll resend the updated files out.
