If anyone is on FB- here is a link to a new group for Christian Cardmakers around the world- LINK HERE
Owner is a fab cardmaker I know from Oriental Stamp Art (Yahoo Group)
I was feeling better yesterday, planning to work today, but woke up pretty queezy....not feeling too bad to stamp though, so may go make a couple of cards : ) Also working on ATC's for a couple of swaps....
I hope you haven't been FOOLED by anyone today It's such fun though, isn't it? I think my computer might be trying to fool me - it's giving me fits this am!
Just a friendly reminder: 9 more sleeps til we post our cards!!! We go back to cards this month! Please check out Carol's fabulous theme in the first of the thread!
My daughter's classes were cancelled today so we're home having a 'cook in' - breaded lasagna bites that she makes homemade with a homemade sauce to go with .......... oh la lah!
I just have to ask... Jeanette, How long do we have to wait for the big news? Curiosity is going to kill the cat here. I also loved the stamp scrubber cleaning tip. (Hand to forehead) why have I been dong hs by hand?
I'm a bit delayed getting here this morning - we had a thunderstorm in the area so I had to unplug my computer. Alas, my battery on my laptop is basically gone - it only holds a charge for about 10 minutes. We need the rain, though, so it's good. DH sowed grass seed earlier this week - our yard is mostly gone due to the loss of the huge tree (they ground out the stump) so the rain will help the seed germinate.
LOL! Paula, you make me smile! I'll make you a deal... I mail my ink pad scrubby thing to you and you run it through your dishwasher and I'll add a note telling you what the surprise is. ;)
Seriously, some in this thread know the surprise already, since we text sometimes, along with a few ladies who aren't in this thread. It's really NOT a huge secret, it's just something that I can't put online. I'll PM you; since I don't want to leave you in suspense too long.
I am not sure--but she mentioned something in a PM to me about wanting to add to her siggy about something new she could not share yet. She was struggling to add lines and I told her to PM you as you seemed to figure it out without becoming a Fan Club member

I was told by the mods that being a fan club member doesn't increase your siggy space. It did a long time ago, but hasn't for many years now.
That being said, when mine started "growing" was after I became a BRAK member. Coincidence? I don't know. Just glad I can now have a longer siggy, like my RAZZ'ing buddy Barb. ;)
In this thread it does say Fan Club members do--but if being a BRAK member helped you--we can always use some new members to send out birthday cards each month........ ;)

Yes, I know that's what the thread says and also read it other places... but I had a PM from mods that said it wasn't true. That the siggy space was long enough without needing more and they no longer gave longer space to fan club members.
Whatever works for you and me gives us colorful siggys!

Yep! But that's not the BIG news! I'm still waiting for the big day ...... holding on to this information for 2 months and still can't spill it Whimsy was just recently and it will be super fun for the next few months Yes, I meant to PM Jeanette but haven't had a chance to  I can't figure out the whole siggy thing and it won't let me edit past 3 lines
Jeanette, I was going to say that's fine to send the stamp scrubber and ask how would know if I put them in my dishwasher or not. Maybe I would just decide to lick 'em clean. Then I scrolled down and saw the camel and started laughing. If ya sent them to Barb, she would probably put the camel to work on them. LOL!
Thanks for the PM to spill the beans. I was wondering if it just might have something to do with that.
Oh, so that's what you all are up to. I thought it was quiet in here. I guess I should have given Kelly my cell instead of home #. We need to do stuff so I can get to know you all better.
Hey Barb, I use to be a WRAK bday fairy and they have stopped doing that. Not long ago I sent Kerry a message and told her I could Help with BRAK. She said she didn't take care of that any longer and someone else would contact me about it but I didn't hear anything after that.
Would all of you continue to pray for my Husband's job situation? Kinda past being down to the wire here with things.
ROFL! Paula, love your sense of humor! Poor Smoochy!
I absolutely will lift you and the hubby in prayer. by job situation, is he looking for a job or not liking the one he has? We have been there - it's stressful and scary but God always provides and in His timing ♥
Just checking in.
BroIL has been moved from chem dependency to psych ward......he didn't take it well at all that while we love him, we will no longer help him. Tough love, but the whole family is on the same page this time!!
I have my immies picked out for my project this month, think I will do a page......but, that could always change....lol
Paula, I love reading your post... and yes, I think Smoochy might be able to clean my ink pad. He slobbers a lot, which is why we love him so, right? I am praying for your DH and the work situation. It is so difficult to wait and wonder as everything piles up. (((HUGS))) On a happy note... the item I PM'd you about. The signed contract is on its way back to the person who sent it... so won't be too much longer before news can be shared, I think. ;)
Kelly, you are such a sweet person! A friend to all... and a fantastic prayer warrior. Thank you for being you!
April, tee hee. A woman's prerogative is to change her mind, you know. ;) I continue to pray for your BIL. I know it's tough on all of you. (((HUGS)))
Paula--we would love to have you join us as a BRAK Volunteer. Kerry should have passed my name onto you. If you are interested, please send me a PM and I will pass it onto Faith, who is our New Member Mentor. She would get additional information to get you all signed up. Thanks!
Hubby hasn't had a regular job in over two years and we have a daughter away at college. In the interim he has made beautiful custom furniture and worked on a few home rennovations. God gave him multiple talents so the program management work was placed on the back burner in hopes of God providing some sort of full time Christian service job.The odd jobs dried up in November. We were set well savings wise until the odd jobs dried up. Anyway, there is a post from last week or so that explains more if you scroll up. Management at a faith based organization would be perfect for him. In fact, a headhunter who pairs up faith base organizations with perspective candidates thinks he is perfect for Samaritan's Purse. The clincher is that we can't permanently move from here because 10 yrs ago we moved my parents back here with us when we purchased my Dad's family farm and offered them the farmhouse. My dad is 84 and we can't run off and leave them.
Okay, do tell ladies. I have tried several different ways to change the color in my siggy of a hot link and have not succeeded. What is the correct order to do it? As you can see, I have drab gray. When I add the color it shows up gray anyway. I think I have added the color before and after adding the link and I still see blucko gray.
Paula, I love Samaritan's Purse. I think it would be great if your DH could get a job there without relocating. I have a friend who is a regional representative for Operation Christmas Child and she loves her job!!!
