Happy Christmas hangover! LOL! Food, fun, festivities and lots of laughs had by all around here! I'm contemplating my first nap in 20 years or cleaning up the craft room - we'll see which one wins
I received a text from Kelly that she is not able to access the internet and it might be a day or so before it is fixed. She thought it might be a nearby transformer that went. She will be back posting as soon as she can...................
I hope you all had a great Christmas! So what about New Years? Big plans? Resolutions? Or goals? Any good crafty presents?
Christmas for us was quiet. We had my mom and brother over for dinner. As for gifts - DH and I don't buy for each other. My mom did give us $ and we both have used ours already! LOL!! DH bought a work bench (used bonus $ and his Christmas $) and I had a Pat Catan's coupon (Yep Lela...I know you're laughing! LOL!!) and bought the last 2 sets of Spectrum Noir markers to complete my set.
Today I took the Christmas tree down and are trying to get our house back in order. DH has been painting the bathroom...for the last 2 days...LOL!!...and it's not done yet...LOL!!! Not even the first coat - LOL!!
Tomorrow he will go to breakfast with the men from church and then help some at church tearing down from the children's Christmas program. I'll have some time to be make some cards.
Sunday will be church and then Monday we'll finish the bathroom. Tuesday DH has to work (I'll still be off). Tuesday night is church. We'll be home around 8:30 or 9pm. Then we'll have off Wed for New Years then we're both back to work on Thursday.
We haven't been going to the gym and really need to start doing that. I thought maybe tonight but if not, certainly tomorrow!
What a fun day - NOT! Thanks Barb for the shout out - it was a transformer. We thought it was from the nearby AF Base but nope - and just in time to get dd registered for the SATs and me with a blog post due tomorrow! Card was done but the post wasn't. Teach me a lesson, eh! LOL!
Stay safe out there all ya'll in that snow and ice. We are sweating buckets down here and this as a Christmas just plain stinks! I need me some snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Afternoon--Happy Saturday. We spent some time in the greenhouse this morning, reading the paper and sipping a latte as it is a sunny day. I got a workout in on the treadmill too. We are headed out in a bit for some errands and supper out.
Good Morning-- It is COLD! -18 this morning when we got up and it is -14 now. Wind Chill is -25! I do not think we are to be in double digits for the next few days.
The Packers are Division Champs--quite an exciting game yesterday! They host the 49'ers next Saturday and I hope it is a cold day for those San Fran players.
I am off to do a couple of errands this morning and then I get to spend some time in the stamp room to get a swap done.
Morning, all! Still hot hot hot here and feels WAY TOO MUCH like summer!
We are heading out to go ice skating in a bit to get our winter on
Ladies, in case you need the theme for tomorrow's (last) card post it is ........
A sprinkle of Blessings!
Pretty general so you can create pretty much however you interpret that to be
It will also be our last card we post for the COF, bittersweet as I write that ...
you are all so inspiring, enriching, all things lovely!
Morning to everyone! Brrrrr…it's certainly like January weather here!
I haven't touched ink & paper in weeks. Fixing that right now! Found the stamp that I want to use for our challenge. I'm off to create & will post in a little while.
You girls are starting the celebrating early!!
I have my 'faux' champagne chilling - the kids and I found this super fun recipe for an alcohol free champagne and they think it's the bomb diggity every year. And our grapes - we do the grapes - anyone else?
Yes, we look like Hamsters - stuffing our cheeks with 12 grapes in the first 12 seconds. It's crazy - but a tradition! And hey - we're crazy!!
Speaking of hamsters, we have one about to give birth! waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaht am I gonna do, don't know yet - Let the good Lord give us guidance!
I will peek/leave some love soon as I'm scrambling eggs and turkey bacon for my hungry crew - blessings!

I'm celebrating early, Kelly, because I'm thinking there is NO WAY that I will last until midnight on the little bit of sleep I had last night. ;)
Awwww! May a nap be in your future!
Does Brock stay up and ring in the New Year with you all (if you stay up, that is!) My son is bursting at the seams of staying up with the big kids - me, I'll probably be on the couch snoring!
Thats what I'm thinking Zella! My daughter has been hovering and really watchful with her and wishes for New Years babies
Ohhh Jeanette do,stay safe out there. Not the best of days to be on the road!
We will be home .. Yay! Rosemary chicken is in the oven, the potatoes are sizzling and the kids have melting pot fondues with all the trimmings planned for dessert! Yum!
