Just wanted to let everyone know... Im leaving early tomorrow morning for a Womens Conference, so I won't be on SCS again until next Monday. Have a FABULOUS and FUN weekend!!!
I am sooo glad this 'heavy' week is almost over!!!
Here's hoping that next one will be much much lighter, by the grace of God!!
Meanwhile, nothing but blue skies here...what wonderful weather!!!
Unfortunatly it will take a nose dive from tomorrow on....so the weatherperson said!!
Here's to hope it won't!! :o) *TGIF!!!*
Hello--I hope you had a great weekend. We had wonderful weather today and it was pretty nice yesterday too. We had our church rummage sale yesterday, so I was there from 7 until about 3. We then did some yard work and did more today, along with a hike at the park.
I'm home from a marvelous Women's Conference. WOW! It was a lot of work and I was totally 210% exhausted when I got home (no, that's NOT a typo) and then had to jump right into our hectic Sunday schedule. It's never a restful day in the pastor's family. LOL! I'm kinda glad it's Monday. LOL!
Today is our Annual Women's Banquet plus DH is having pickup problems so I'll be shuttling him to/from repair shop/s to see what's wrong with it. So it's going to be a BUSY Monday.
April--I realize we are three weeks away from the post date--but could you post the challenge in the next few days? May is such a busy month for me with meetings and gardens and everything else happening in my life--I want to be sure to have enough time.
Our DS is coming home for a visit. He'll arrive later today and won't leave until sometime next week............. so I'm going to be scarcer than scarce in the threads. I hope your weekend will be fantastic!!!
Hi everyone! I want to apologize to you all. It seems as though I had not left any of you love for your creations all year. It was very nicely brought to my attention and I have spent the past 2 days leaving love for all of the posts I could. I had issues with a couple blogs, so I apologize for not leaving the love you deserve! I hope you can all forgive me :-)
This is heading our way tonight. We have gotten a lot done outside the past two days--15 small trees planted, one large one, some gardens weeded and the grass cut. We do need some rain and there are some storms coming too. I will check in tomorrow morning.
We did get a bit of rain last night, but it rained hard all around us. We had some friends came over for supper and they had to stop along the freeway as it was raining so hard they could not see. We are to get more rain today and for the next few days--all of our new trees will be happy!
We did get a whole lot of rain yesterday--over 5 inches in three different storms. There was quite a bit of storm damage south of us, but nothing by us. Our house is on a hill and the water was rushing so fast in the ditches that it looked like a river! Our new trees love it, but I have to straighten a couple that have tilted with the saturated ground. More rain today and then Thurs-Fri-Sat too, but they are not forecasting any storms at this time. I get to play in the stamp room today to get a swap done and postal.
Hi everyone....especially Tami ....my MARCH card is finally up!! ;o)
TXS for your patience CGirls!! xoxox
Will try my best to post the months of April and May cards together on the 28th...
I don't like that date...I truly don't like THAT date.....THIS month.....
I'm here! I'm HERE!!!
Good Morning Calendar Girls!
Goodness me! I've been gone from SCS for a week - and what a week it has been. DS came sooner than we expected and stayed longer than we expected, too. It was a FANTASTIC visit! And I miss him so much now that he's gone back to his home! We also have had lots and lots of rain and wind - which has knocked out our internet repeatedly. UGH! Hopefully it's back for a while now. And I had a speaking gig this week, so was very busy with that for a while, too.
Terry, no need to apologize! You've had a lot happening. We understand!
Sweet P, same for you! I need to check out your blog!
Barb, thanks for Smoochy!
Brrr! It's turned cold again here - and Brock's bus was 45 minutes late.......... so lots of cold rocking/swinging time.
Good Morning Ladies--yes, about a half hour left of morning here. I had a meeting this morning at the high school where I used to teach to decide on the recipients of local scholarships. There were over 75 applicant's packets that had for about a week and narrowed it down to 5--very hard decisions. I also did some grocery shopping and a few things around the house before sitting down to post on SCS. I am heading to the craft room to finish a swap to get postal, do a card kit for a get together at my house on Saturday for 3 other SCS friends as well as a couple of cards for the challenges at Camp Stamp-in-Oga on Saturday. It will be a fun weekend--except for the crappy weather. Temps in the mid 40's today and rain...............Yuck! Not warmer than 50 some for the next few days--double Yuck!
Good Morning--this might be my last post for a few days. I am heading to the craft room to finish a card kit I need for tomorrow, then lunch with a friend who is in town from Arizona and Carol will be here this afternoon. Tomorrow we will have fun at stamp class, shopping and then out time back here at the house with Terry and LJ. My roomie is cooking supper for all of us tomorrow night. Not sure what the plans are on Sunday, but I am sure we will have fun and a few laughs.........................
Good Morning Calendar Girls!
Yep, it's official............ it's Friday!!!
Hi Stinky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (ummmm, I mean, Deb!) It's so good to see you. Love your sunglasses! BTW, my DD now knows which school she is going to be teaching in - Pilot Station. She flies to Anchorage on August 3, a couple of days of orientation/shopping there, then she catches a little plane to the bush. She's so excited!
Hi Barb! Have a great weekend. Sure wish I were able to come see all of you!

J, maybe I am behind the times, but wow, is that a small place your DD is going to! Holy night.
1.69 mile radius for the entire town?! If she was training for a marathon, she would have to circle the town 15.5 times! LOL
I know she will make a big difference there. The area seemed to have a low graduation rate (55%) but then again their data was a few years old....what an adventure she is in for!!! An exciting time for her.
