WOW Ladies, thanks for sharing! I have a beautiful 36 pack of copic sketchs headed my way! That 50% off coupon is awesome! All together - with shipping and tax - I only paid $127.20, which means $3.53 per marker! That's a steal! Now I just wish they'd get more copic sketch sets. I like those much better than the ciaos - they have 3 different color sets in the ciaos but only 1 in the sketchs! Oh well, I'm thankful to at least get that one box!
Thanks again ladies, ya'll are the best!

Ok. Enlighten me........what is the difference between the ciao and the sketch markers? I ordered a set of the 36 but they haven't arrived yet.
Thanks!

Good for you ladies. I wish they'd list the #s of what's in the Sketch set. I do have some Ciaos, but don't want to buy the Sketch set if I have those colors already!!!
I am subscribing to this thread. If you look towards the top left of this page it says My Subscriptions. It lists every thread you have subscribed to. Now when I respond to your question in your email it will tell you that Derdriu has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled- Joann's has copic!

If you make the picture bigger, you'll see the numbers on the packaging. I think you could also probably google "copic 36 basic set" and find a site that has them listed out. This grouping isn't by Joanns - Copic grouped it that way - so the 36 Basic (versus "primary" or "pastel") is the same everywhere.

OK, thanks. I tried enlarging and the #s are great, but I assumed J's made their own up. It's nice to find out it's a Copic group - so off to check it out.

They have the names (not numbers) typed out, but in some of the shots you can see the tops of the sketches (and thus their names and numbers) perfectly!
Hope that helps!

Here's a quick answer:
Sketch are available in 322 colors.
Ciao are available in 144 colors.
Ciao have the same tips(brush and broad) as Sketch and are less expensive. However Ciao can't be used for airbrushing.
From my experience sketch hold more ink so they will last a bit longer.
However, my favorite is the original copic marker. It has a firm tip. I don't usually use the broad tip, so I like to switch it for the brush tip.
I ordered set A of the 36 Copic Ciaos, as I have none, and that is what people told me start with (set A). I used the 50% off coupon at Joann's online store, and like everyone else, got them for $75 plus shipping. But you really need to buy the colorless blender Copic. I didn't, and I really regret it. Because if your ink bleeds outside of the line, you can "push" the color back into the image with the blender pen.
If you ever need coupons, check www.retailmenot.com as they usually have some code numbers.
My local Joann's store, says that the company says the Copics are coming to stores, but they don't know when.
My biggest question is: how long can Joann's afford to give people the Copics at 50% off? I say get what you can now, before they say that the coupons are not valid on Copics.
