Here is the url:

You can use your coupons!

Ellibelle 10-12-2009 03:16 PM

That's fantastic. I wonder if they are going to have them at some stores too.

sweet i hope they come to the stores soon.

stepha 10-14-2009 08:17 AM

I'd love to see them in the stores.

ms.rhetta 10-14-2009 09:18 AM

Wouldn't it be grand to have them at the store?! I haven't checked our Joann's (In columbia md) yet, but plan to make a trip that direction soon, if I see them, You'll hear me (lol) I'll be the fool shouting "woo hoo".

It is so great to be able to use a coupon for them! I hope this also means the price point will continue to decrease and we'll get more for our $$!

nottoocreative 10-14-2009 09:41 AM

What's the shipping cost? I'm guessing the coupon basically offsets that...

ms.rhetta 10-14-2009 10:24 AM

Lynn, they run free shipping from time to time, but it used to be like over $75 was free UPS ground. Slow, but free!

fordgrl 10-14-2009 10:24 AM

If you search on joann.com, use "copic" without the 's' on the end. I tried searching "copics" and got nothing. Searched using just "copic" and everything came up.

I put the 36/pk of Copics in the shopping cart, at a cost of $149.99, the shipping is $14.99....40% off coupon would be $60 discount (dropping them to $89.99), so I think the shipping is still worth it...? And actually, once you apply the coupon, the shipping drops to $11.95. (This shipping option was 7-12 business day)

Stuplid Question from a Newbie

:confused:Ok... here is what you all probably think is a stupid question. (I'm not even going to argue with you... on that point but I'm going to ask anyway.) What is the differenc between a copic marker and other markers? What does copic mean???

loxykelly 10-14-2009 10:35 AM

When I first saw this post I almost fell outta my seat! I hope they have them in stores soon!!!

It's not a stupid question but it's not a quick answer, really...there is a whole thread devoted to the Copic marker! The short answer is that Copic markers are from Japan, and they are made with alcohol-based inks...that means they are blendable, and won't leave a line if you color over the same spot (like the SU markers do)

Hiding in My Craft Room 10-14-2009 11:28 AM

I really need to quite reading threads on splitcoast! I am going to be completely broke! YOU ENABLERS!!!! LOL!!!

REALLY, Thank you so much for the information!!!

fordgrl 10-15-2009 03:19 AM

FYI - if any of you newbies have an Archiver's near you, they are offering Copic classes right now (at least ours in Columbus is). Been thinking about taking it to see what they're all about. :)

babyclaire 10-15-2009 03:39 AM

I took the recent Christmas card Copic class at Archivers in Downers Grove Il and it was really great. I learned a lot from the class and the cards are really cute. Fifiteen dollars was really a great price for the knowledge I gained from the class. I would suggest that you take it if you can you won't be sorry. ~~ Carol

scrappystarr 10-15-2009 04:02 AM

Does anyone have a 40% off coupon code??

EED290 or EED294, I think are both active. I used the 294 yesterday with no problems.

I found that the cards they did (at least at our local Archiver's) did not really get much into the blending. There were visible lines. Their colors are very limited, with a few blending groups but lots of others that don't blend. So I can't imagine that it's really teaching much about the Copics as compared to regular markers?

ellepaul 10-15-2009 08:52 AM

I can't seem to get the Joanns website to work! :(

I have heard that from someone else too.

stepha 10-18-2009 03:47 PM

Oh darn they are on sale this week, so no coupon allowed!

KatarinaM 10-19-2009 02:34 AM

I think you can still use the coupon, even if it's on sale. It will just revert back to the original price, then apply your coupon. I wish they would do this in b & m stores, too...

stepha 10-19-2009 03:03 AM

Oh thanks, I need to try using the coupon.

They changed their policy a while ago. You can only use the coupons for something that is not already on sale. :(

ChloeGM 10-20-2009 11:35 AM

I bought my pens over the weekend. They were on sale but I typed in the code for my 50% off and the price reverted back to the full pricee and then gave me the 50% off! I'm anxious to try them!
Therese

deedah 10-21-2009 06:19 AM

Great! Maybe it's different online. I know in the store they scan the coupon and it automatically takes the percent off the highest priced non-sale item. Or maybe each store is different (whether they're on the new system and whether the cashier follows the policy...I used to have different experiences)

stampitup 10-22-2009 07:22 AM

I saw the 36 pk of sketch the other day on their website but can't find it now! Should have bought them then! I'm thinking of running over to the store today.

ChloeGM 10-22-2009 07:25 AM

I couldn't find them at first either. If you go into markers and pens and scroll through the pages it comes up-at least it did for me. I was having a time with the site as I kept getting an error message that there were too many customers on the site! Maybe they sold out!

tamcan 10-23-2009 07:39 AM

Thank you ! I just bought 36pc set for 75.00 w/coupon and 2.49 shipping!!!!! Thank you!!!

stampandweave 10-24-2009 05:59 AM

How did you get such cheap shipping? It shows $11.95 shipping if I enter a 36 piece set.

tamcan 10-24-2009 08:14 AM

I got a special shipping for first registering on site.

Mjensen602 10-25-2009 09:08 PM

Here's a way around the 11.95 shipping- go to insiders-club.com and sign up- the first month is free...then 7.99/month after that. When you go to their site and then type in joanns, it will take you to the joanns site and you can order and eliminate the shipping- but, you have to go through the insiders-club site first to make it work...at least, you can order stuff for a month without a shipping charge...the joanns coupons are still there to use on the non sale items....hope this helps...Marilyn

Mjensen602 10-25-2009 09:31 PM

I just ordered a set of 36 copic ciao at Joann's by going through the insiders-club.com site then to joann.com and on the markers page there was a 50% coupon (SFD305)!!!! - the 149.00 set is 75.00 and the insider's club shipping was $5 and then there was the tax- so it came to 85.00. I think that is the best price I've managed to find so far!
Slowly but surely building my copic ciao marker collection. Marilyn

nancyp77 10-25-2009 10:25 PM

WOw Marilyn, you got a great deal!
I wish I would have read this post earlier!

I just bought 13 sketch markers from Dickblick this weekend. They were on sale for 4.79 a piece. I thought It was a good deal. They are normally 6 dolars here.

tamcan 10-26-2009 09:10 AM

You ladies rock! I told my sis in California and she was stoked. She a single mom and was happy to find a 50% off price. She would never have bought them otherwise. Thanks so much!

deedah 10-26-2009 09:27 AM

I went to the one in Amhust on Sat and they didn't have any
