Hehe! I know..I'm baaaad!! The deals were too good not to share! I Bought a bunch of punches, ribbon, paper & in color markers..nice stuff! Now I have to be patient as I wait for Mr. UPS. :-D
Happy creating!
oh thanks alot again..I must have missed out on a bunch of good stuff..I only saw 1 punch! please dont tell me anymore (hand across my forehead - fainting) lol this is my 3rd su order this week, so I guess I should be happy with what I did get.
Thanks for the heads up. When I was on, it was very slow, and although many things were added to my cart, when I went to finalize payment, about 1/2 of them were no longer available. There were some wonderful deals to be had.
Oh darn-- site was working fine and placed a huge order. I am a total cardstock addict, I'll have to buy another file cabinet to hold it all. But at those prices !!!
Just a tip - you have to click the right arrow to see all the pages. There are more items than they had page numbers for. The page numbers stop at 10, but keep going until you hit the YoYo Yellow inkpad. Right now that is the last item on the list.
I don't know why, but I can't log in :( It just says Site error on the bottom - is the site overloaded (everybody shopping in the clearance section)? anybody else had this problem?
I must be missing something. I went to the Stampin Up site and all I saw in the Clearance Rack were items that were only a few cents off regular price.
Where are the things that are such a great savings?
Thanks
Barbara
Does your demo have a SU website? If so, go to products, shop now, and then on the left click on clearance rack. There are still a lot of things left. I just finished placing an order. Lots of ribbon, paper, DSP, a few punches. brads, buttons, and more.
It asked for my Demos name so I put it in.
Do they get credit for Clearance Rack sales?
Your demo gets credit for whatever sales you do when you pick them as a demonstrator instead of simply going through SU's general shopping site (but might not earn the full 20%). Be careful though as a shopper. SU's website isn't very clear in the fact that you as a customer don't get hostess benefits (if you buy enough) shopping online UNLESS you are shopping through your demonstrator's business website. If you shop via SU's website only, you pay higher prices and shipping. If you shop via SU's website and pick your demonstrator, you get non-jacked up prices but you don't get hostess benefits. If you shop via your demonstrators business website, then you get the non-jacked up prices and can earn hostess benefits and your demonstrator gets the full demonstrator commission on your sales. Confusing, huh! SU didn't exactly make shopping online very easy or clear.
I managed to order this morning (the site was probably overworked last night ;) ) - and order bunch of ribbon too - even though I have a LOT and promised myself not to buy anymore - bad me ;)
but I also got a bunch of card stock too - one can never have enough CS

I must've been shopping late enough last night to avoid all the site delays. Managed to find LOTS to order! ;) I can't believe the prices!! I just hosted a workshop Monday night (sadly, rather anemic in sales), but now DH will think I had WONDERFUL sales judging by how much I got in 'hostess' benefits!! :p
Blessings,
Kat

Oh Nuts!! I think I did it wrong.
I was on the Official SU site for the clearance Rack . I didn't know my demo also has an SU site with a Clearance Rack .
It asked if I had a demo and I said yes. Then it asked me to find her in the directory so I did
The bottom of my confirmation says " Your Selected Demonstrator" and her name
I sent her an email and a copy of the confirmation . I hope she gets credit for the sale.
She knows I am sort of new at this
Thanks so much for letting us know about this. I had checked the CLEARANCE RACK last week and there wasn't much on it. Today I bought a ton. Just what I needed. LOL!

The problem isn't you - it's the convoluted way that SU does their online ordering. It's not clearly stated as to what you need to do, and unless your demonstrator has drilled it into your head, then it's not like it's easy to figure out. It's like SU really doesn't want you ordering through your demo's website. If you pick a demo from SU's main website, then it should automatically transfer you to your demo's website if there is one, but it doesn't. It doesn't even state clearly (or at all?) that you and your demo will receive maximum benefits if you order via the demonstrator's business website. But again, unless your demo has drilled it into you, you're not easily going to find the information from SU at all.
I did my part this morning  but I missed out on the watercolor wonder crayons. I've been wanting them since the new colors came out but decided at the clearance prices I'd get the old colors then purchase the new colors kit when its avaible. But the bold brights was sold out so I cancelled the rest. I'll just get the whole set when they are avaible to order again.

This was the first time I placed an SU order on -line.
Ordinarily I just give my order to my Demo and she adds it to her monthly stamp group order.
At least now I know how to order on-line in the future so that my Demo gets credit.
OK, I'm confused...I thought by selecting a Demo on the SU clearance rack (and her name shows up, and I get "preferred pricing" as a result), that would give her the credit??? Now you are saying you actually have to go to HER website? that totally doesn't make sense. Why even select a demo on the SU site, then?
It did tell me that I could get some benefits if I ordered over $150, but I didn't order quite that much, so I wouldn't have gotten hostess benefits anyway...
I went back and ordered more today because the site was behaving much better...so I spent too much on shipping because I did 2 orders, but saved a lot, still! I thought the shipping was too high (more than 10%, it was $8.50 even though my order was $70), didn't know I could have saved by going through the demo's site, grrrr.

If you go directly to shopping on the SU website and you chose a demo there, then you as a customer don't have to pay the jacked up costs (you get "preferred pricing") and the demo does get credit, but SU wants demonstrators to purchase (rent) a demonstrator business website. So, for you to receive maximum benefits as a customer (like getting hostess bennies if you purchase enough) and for the demonstrator to receive the maximum commission on your purchases, SU wants the demo to pay to have their own demonstrator business website and for you to purchase from your demo via that paid-for website. Demonstrators don't have to have the website. They can opt-in for their name to be on a list for customers to choose them as their demonstrator and that allows the demo to get some commission off the online purchases, and actually enables their customers to be able to purchase online and for the demo to get something back. I guess SU figures that demos who don't pay for the demo business website don't deserve to receive the same from online sales as those that have purchased the website. If the demo wants the full amount from then they have to purchase the website and the customer has to order through that one and not SU's regular one.
Pretty darn confusing, isn't it!

Reason: additional clarification
Does anyone know if the ornament punch was listed on the clearance rack? I want one of the old style black lever ones but didn't order it on June 30th with the other punches I wanted and didn't know SU! would list it on the clearance rack. If anyone ordered this and it's gone, I won't bother stalking the clearance rack.

yes! confusing!
But, they do NOT make that clear. They should tell you that you can opt to shop through the demo's own website; I wasn't even aware that I was NOT doing that. Also, my usual demo does not have a website and she didn't even come up on the list of demos at all...so my assumption was that any demo who came up on that list did pay for the demo business website, and that there were other active demos who did NOT pay for their own website but they didn't come up on the list...
It's not right that they didn't make this all clear.

The only punches on the clearance rack are the ones that were retired (slot, My Way, slit, double rectangle, tag corner, small star). Although I heard that the horizontal slot punch has been sold out.
