Scrappin' Challenge 2017
Can you believe this is our 9th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2016 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2017! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2017! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends.
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2017 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc17may"

Yay! I am here! Made my April goal plus one! So my goal for May is 9
I have 41 YTD
Lela, I will try to post the Scraplift today. Joyce already posted the VSBN challenges.
Yay for May!
Hey y'all! I uploaded a ton of layouts in the April gallery and I already have a whole bunch more to share. I'm on fire lately Been having lots of fun with it. I'm at 82 pages YTD, and my goal for May is 20, which would put me past my usual annual goal of 100 pages. Maybe I'll up that goal to TWO hundred!
Here is the link to your May 2017 - VSBN Merry Month of May by AnniePanda at Splitcoaststampers that went live on Monday, May 1st!
Hope you check out the challenges and play along as much as you are able.
I've tried to leave enough flexibility for you to create within, and still make it enough challenge to push you outside your rut.

Made my goal for April plus one. 21/20. For YTD at 101. I've actually finished two albums since January and very excited about being back in the swing of this after a several year hiatus. This group and these challenges are a direct reflection on the success of those numbers and I appreciate you all so much for putting this all together month after month. It has made all the difference for me. I'm going to lower my goal to 15 this month based on the fact we are going to FL for a week and have lots of family events to fill any extra time this month. 15 will still be a stretch.
...well, not quite yet here, we still have the showers and they said the "S-N - * - W!" word tonight for Sunday. And to think I was going to plant flowers, guess that's not happening so I'm going to order picts and SCRAP!
Wish me luck, I think I just need to get started and I'll be on my Way!

I would like to second what Amy said and I also appreciate all the hard work that goes into making these challenges happen each month and keeping the group together.
I'm very light on pages so far but only get a small window of opportunity to scrap with other regular commitments but I am creating more than I was a year ago so I'm happy
YTD: 23
My goal for April is 8
Thank you for including me.
Happy day

Happy Anniversary Lela. Hope you and your hubby have a special day together.
I've just returned from watching our grandson play Auskick (junior football...Aussie rules style) and will head off to golf later. My hubby is in a golf comp and I will join him, hopefully to celebrate his win. We usually play in a mixed comp together most Sunday afternoons if we have nothing else on. It saves me having to cook LOL as we have dinner at the club.
Next Sunday is Mothers Day here. When is it Mothers Day in the States?
Happy day everyone and happy creating. jx

So happy for you and hubby, Lela! Sounds like some busy times around you. You will be in Kissimmee soon? It's about an hour and 20 minutes from where I live. It would be fun to meet in person so let me know if you are having a few spare moments for a meal or a cup.

Hi everyone! I'm back from my two week vacation to London with my hubby to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We took a bunch of pictures, and I want to do something with them while my memories are still fresh, so I think I'm going to use photo storage pages to scrap them. I might add a few traditional pages in between, but we'll have to see how inspired I am! Still trying to get over jet lag, but I managed to stay up until 9:30 tonight, so that's a sign I'm readjusting. I will try to get a sketch posted this week and pop on over to check out the other challenges. Lela, put me down for ten layouts this month. My YTD is 32 layouts.

Welcome back home Cheryl and look forward to seeing your photos. My family tell me that the weather has been lovely in the UK and all the spring blossom out...wonderful time to have visited. I'm sure they will make me homesick...LOL.
I also use photo storage pages and add some traditional pages in between for lots of photos. It makes it so much easier.
Hope you get over your jet lag quickly and happy creating.

Okay y'all, I just uploaded a boatload of layouts while my wee man is asleep. I didn't make all of these last week ;) but I did do 10 layouts since May 1!! I'm now at 100 pages even if I counted right. Anyway, so here's some of my favorites:
Hoping to work on pages from my honeymoon for the next week or two...it would be nice to have that album completely done!! So that's what I'm going to concentrate on. Cheers, y'all!
Sharon, my husband did indeed LICK the wall in the salt mine and reported that it did, indeed, taste like salt. Can't take him anywhere.
I didn't link up all the layouts in my post above, so if you want to see the rest just look under the sbc17may keyword in the gallery and the rest show up. I uploaded a bunch towards the end of April too with the sbc17apr keyword.

Too funny!!!
I will have to take a look at the rest of this trip...
trying to up better this month...
I will take a look in April gallery.

The weather was beautiful except for one day that was cold and rainy. I was posting pictures on Facebook and my MIL, who had visited England in November last year, was blown away by how sunny it was. Guess her experience was a little different!
Anyway, I just finished cleaning up my scrapbooking area (never got around to it last month after I made a bunch of stuff for my daughter's birthday party), so I'm ready to scrap! Anyone else getting creative this morning?
Welcome back Cheryl. I had Bible study this morning then took a friend on errands because she wrecked her car last month and has no wheels. So got home about 1:00. Just got home and door bell rang. It was my 100 stamp cases (cd w/o hubs) being delivered! So I have been un-mounting wood mounted stamps this afternoon. Very tedious! LO
Maybe I will do another VSBN challenge tonight after supper. Right now getting ready to take a nap. Didn't sleep well last night.
Had a busy day myself, hosted my little quilt group this morning (long story, a small group within a bigger group, but we have know each other for years then life happens and recently reconnecting) just chatting and tell what is coming up in the quilting world. Ran out to pick up DGD from school then dinner for us and my son to take home to his family tonight.
Have time to work at scrapping as soon as I pack up DS's dinner. Trying to put some finishing touches on a layout but don't know where to go from here or more to the point... I don't know now to work in a die cut I want to use!!! May have to wait for another layout!!!
Got a little time scrapping today and looking ahead at the rest of the month I have very little time to get many pages done and still have multiple birthday and graduation cards to make. Oh well...I'm going to Florida for vacation a week from Friday, so it's whatever I get done before then will just have to be it. I haven't even looked at anyone's galleries for this month yet. But, since it's a vacation coming not having enough time is a good problem to have!
This finishes up my goal for cards this year and I need to get back to finishing more layouts if I want to make my goal! If I don't get crackin each month then there is a big push at the end of the year.
I know, it is just a goal for fun but why set a goal if you don't strive to make it?? Besides I have so little time and too many photos!!
