This week's challenge is all about our little corner of the world. I thought it would be fun and interesting to have a challenge to depict where we live. I live in the state of Wisconsin. It is located at the northeast or shoreline of Lake Michigan. The small county is named Kewaunee. The early settlers were from many nationalities....the surrounding areas names represents this well. If I take a 20 mile radius of my home, you can find places like Denmark, Cooperstown, Brussels, Luxemburg, Poland and Pilsen. Our county was made up of many farmers.....our state is known as America's Dairyland. Our county is small and rural...there is one stoplight and 30,000 cows. Just 20 miles north is the city of Green Bay...home of the professional football team...The Green Bay Packers. They are a big part of what we do on Sunday during the season. We are known for very good cheese, beer, cranberries, cherries, bratwurst, and small wineries. If you are wondering why my hearts are green...the Packer colors are green and gold. TFL, and I hope you can play in the challenge and have fun

I am a Patriots fan, but cheer for your GB team when they are not playing us. That Aaron Rogers..........hmmmm. Your cows look so content in their field. Do you make cheese or is it strictly dairy. I'm glad you mentioned brats. I grew up in Cincinnati, and used to love brats, esp. at parades. The ones we get here are totally NOT what we had in the Midwest!! Thanks for a fun card.

This is awesome, Linda! DH and I used to go to New Hampshire and Vermont where he would trout fish in the streams. One of his favorite spots what along the edge of a dairy farm - lovely shade trees, green pastures and the sound of the water running though the stream - much like your beautiful card!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your card Linda and I love what you have written about your home. I feel somewhat of a connection to you seeing as how I live in IL. I have cousins who are from Fon du Lac. I am probably not as rural as you, nor my cousins, but I like it. I love the open land and the farms. What a fun challenge you gave today. I didn't play because I have some flu bug and wasn't feeling very creative.

Ms. TV Personality, I love the creativity and 'heart' that went into your customized creation. How fun. I love the history, too. OF all the states I've been to and through, Wisconsin is not one of them. I did know your area is rekown for farming and cheese. The rest I wasn't aware of. This is a hoot. I know you're going to send it to a GBP friend. Someone is going to get a huge laugh/smile when s/he sees this one. Job well done my friend.
